    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

PayPal wasn't the decider in this case. Jays credit card company sided against there own customer (Jay) and sided with me.
It's really hard for someone like me to win a case like this. Credit card company's normally side with there customer. Right or wrong. So this is pretty awesome the way this played out.
* PayPal did deliver the news to me and they put the money back into my PP account.
Hope that is not confusing. Basically I used my PayPal account to take his credit cards as payment. Jay has no paypal
 
That's good to hear - I hope he faces some penalty from his credit card company for this whole episode.
 
I am so glad it worked out for you! Hopefully it will make some scammer in the future know they can't get away with it!

Only saying this because because he represents the very worst transaction I have had made in more than 20 years.

I thought Jay used his mother Julia's credit card to make the $500 and $300 payments?

If that's the case then kudos to Jay for ripping off his own mom.

Craig, with as long as he's "had" the animals, I wouldn't want anything to do with them at all. Although, I am sure they have been sold. While the offer is generous, it is foolhardy & ill advised.
 
Anyone that's not a scammer would hold onto all animals til the dispute was over. Only someone intentionally trying to scam another would sell animals that are under dispute. Even Jay would prob agree to this. Right Jay? I'll take your silence as you are agreeing.
Yes might seem foolish at face value. But I am not a foolish man. My offer is real and there was educated thinking behind me offering it one last time.
If the animals are not back in my hands by Nov 17,2016 I will assume you have sold off the animals and my offer will be retracted that day.

This is the only way I can communicate with Jay. He has blocked contact from me in pretty much every way.
 
Gosh, I know this is an old thread but Craig, I feel horrible for you. I've read all of the threads, yours and Jay's (and his wife's, apparently) as I am interested in buying a Cham so I've been reading all of the BOI threads relating to chams to get a feel for who's reputable and who's not. As an unbiased spectator, Craig, what a horrible thing for them to do. BOI can seriously affect the way people in the herp community see others, and had you not commented and posted to defend yourself and gotten them to show their true colors, I would have believed all of those forged documents. Best of luck to you in the future Craig, you may be hearing from me soon your chams are beautiful and you seem like a super genuine and polite guy despite dealing with people like this. I would not be so cool tempered if multiple people tried scamming me in the same way. Best of luck to you!
 
This is now going on 8 months and I still have no resolution with the $300 dispute. Just got off the phone with PayPal and normal turn around time is 80 days. They just sent an email to Jays financial institution. I should have some sort of update in 24-72 hours.
Very frustrated at this point but still very hopeful.
