    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Seller TimTina - Shipping NEONATE CHAMS!

Just a note, the link to the other site is in referance to a different cham at a diff time. It was an adult WC, not a neonate. Pretty sure it just shows how she was basically demanding that she be given a refund because the animal would need extra care because it wasn't going to arrive overnight(which I believe it arrived in reasonable time but was delayed due to weather, not the shipper's fault). Even though that adult cham had not arrived, she already was claiming it would obviously arrive dead or need special care she was not prepared to give it... etc etc. Wanted a refund, trashed the seller, despite the cham not even arriving yet and despite other people refuting what she was stating.

I wouldn't deal with her with a ten foot pole. With that thread and this one, it's obvious she wants things for free and blames the sellers for her own issues, often before there IS an issue.
 
It, IMO, appears to me the OP just likes free animals. She did ask for a chameleon smaller than 2 inches and that's what she got. She wasn't prepared for it, or God forbid she PURPOSEFULLY wasn't prepared, so she could try and get people on her side about the cham being too small to feed properly. There is a solution about size. Sure everyone ELSE knows what it is! DON'T BUY a cham that is too small to eat what you have available. As much as I love chameleons, I don't want to, at this point in my life, have anything that eats crickets, or other bugs. May change down the road, or it may not.
 
how is one not properly prepared for animals (of any kind) that they get/buy and come to their house (or wherever) ?
i dont understand. its like buying a puppy and not having puppy/dog food on hand.
 
At a big box pet store I used to work at we would consistently get veiled chameleons that were no more than 1.5 inches in length. Guess what... they lived because we fed them what they could consume.

Wow, what a trip!

This was one of the few threads I've seen where right from reading the buyer's initial post, I called shinanigans. She even posted the truth with the seller's emails stating what the cham needed. I agree with Dennis 1000% on this as I'm sure we all do.

I'd post a big fat seller beware on this. Wow.

I immediately recognized the Op of this thread. She had no business purchasing that neonate in the first place. Whether the cham was too small or not doesnt matter. She knew she was buying a BABY and she was obviuosly not prepared or exp enuff and had no friggin idea what she's doing.

She just bought that wc adult that was linked in this thread earlier. Thats why I immediately knew who she was. She was stating she had two other chams that were thriving in her care. Well, obviously she has no idea what that statement means because a cham that I received less than 3 weeks ago isnt thriving in my care just because its still alive. Im sure she has no idea what quarantine means either buying an adult wc and now buying a cb baby within weeks of each other. And Im sure they'd be kept in close proximity. :rolleyes:

Bottom line what we have here is an inexpierenced buyer that shouldnt be buying more animals until she has the ones in her care stabilized and cleared of any parasites by a fecal and the proper meds administered. Neonates shouldnt be purchased by inexperienced buyers only keepers with yrs of exp and husbandry knowledge under their belts.

I bought a pair of week old neonates myself this spring. Now while I dont condone the practice of shipping that early. The seller needed to move some babies as he was overwhelmed and short on space. I bought and raised that pair they are now about 5.5 months old and doing wonderfully. The big difference is I knew I needed a cpl of ff cultures on hand and pins before the chams arrived. In other words OP "I WAS PREPARED FOR THEM". I also have many yrs exp with chameleons and wasnt shocked and freaked out by a small lizard. Ppl with no breeding exp are often suprised by how small a baby panther or veiled is at hatching size.

She the OP is taking her lack of knowledge out on the seller. The seller wa upfront about the date of hatching and about the size of prey being offered presently. The only thing I could think is the seller did not ask if the buyer had raised any babies that small before. But again the Op did say she had prior exp and had two other chams in her possesion. So the seller may have assumed she was exp'd.
 
Oh yeah and I currently have several clutches of cb baby nosy faly chameleons for sale. I def wont be selling anything to the OP. She needs to research proper husbandry and appologize to the seller for this useless bad guy thread. Well i take it back its not useless, we got to see that Tim & Tina were willing to help her but she was not willing to accept their help.:shootfoot
 
I don't normally post on BOI threads but this just baffles me. In the first post the OP continued to:shoot foot and as the thread progressed and more information from both sides became available I couldn't help but laugh at how silly the OP made herself look. Tina, don't stress it. When people read the thread they will know by the first post that this is a load of nonsense.

This is probably one of the few BOI threads that you can tell from the first post that it's a bunch of crap.

Some of the people in this world amaze me. And I am a firm believer that there are perfectly good reasons to NOT let certain people reproduce....
 
It's just totally sad and rediculous that this person bought a baby and didn't prepare for it. This baby has been made to wait for food which IMHO is totally UNEXCEPTABLE. Personally this person has proven to be inexperienced, and implusive buying animals. They do not/ did not realize even though it had been told over and over again what this baby would need and they STILL did not get what needed. All I hope is that they get this little one the appropriate food and feed her. I would hate to see a baby die Out of SHEER STUPIDITY. it is so totally important to research research research when buying a new animal. Babies must be treated more carefully as their food may not be readily available at any Petstore. This buyer has been added to my DNST list.
 
You know, I don't think it's the fact that it was an impulsive buy, because I can guarantee that at some point in time, all of us impulsively buy an animal or two, because, well, the animal looked amazing and we wanted it. I think it was just a matter of not thinking before acting..This all could have been avoided if the OP had just purchased the animal and had the animal held until she could go to the petsmart and find out that they didn't have the right food and then discuss with the seller where to find the proper food for it. It was that simple.

Wow we read some of that and I am EXTREMELY happy to see she is still alive.

Her flies would have cost her under $20 not $100 if she would have ordered when I told her too. She still blames us but that is ok.....we can take it.

(......oh and by the way, it's apparently 1.25" now per her latest post......)

It was a tough read... She should have done further research before buying this baby. Regardless of 1.5 inches or 2 the baby would still need the same size food. She was not prepared with food or enclosure... She asked for information after the purchase and not before. In my opinion she is clearly wrong about a bad guy thread and should be avoided...
 
I have spent the better part of an hour and 1/2 reading this post and reading OPs posts on chameleonforums.com.....

Here she clearly stated she wanted smaller... When you ask for smaller that is what you get.

TimTina, I know next to nothing about chameleons, but if I were to ever venture into them, I would buy from you.

I breed bearded dragons and some are always smaller than the rest when they hatch. (go figure, lol) So in addition to 1/4 I have to get 1/8.

In the time it took the OP to complain about the lack of appropriate food for the cham, she could have done what the seller said and placed a banana outside in a container and in a few hrs had some FF. I live about 4rs to the north of the OP and I know how quickly FF swarm.

Although I am relatively new to breeding, I have a menagerie of reptiles, and if I don't have the correct size food, I go and buy it, regardless of cost. I once spent $10 on a large rat to feed one of my RTB because my normal supplier was out. :(

So Tina, anyone worth selling to will read this whole post and get the real story. If not, then you don't want them owning one of your babies anyhow.
 
I bought a cham from tina and was able find flightless fruit flies easily at pet smart. Tina was very helpful to me and I never had any issues with my purchase.
