    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I recently bought about $2000 worth of gray-banded Kingsnakes from Shannon Brown. When I received them, about half of them had spinal kinks, odd lumps, and numerous other visible defects that he failed to mention before he took my money. :censored: To make matters worse, he will not respond to my e-mail or take my phone calls, now that he has my money and I'm stuck with a bunch of gacked up snakes.:angry: You better believe I'm gonna be posting some pics of these animals as soon as I get a chance.

I am glad he didn't respond to my emails now. When he said in his ads that he was cutting back because of a serious illness, I had hoped that it wasn't a red flag, but I guess it should have been. Desperate people do things that they wouldn't do under different circumstances. I just wish he had gone out in a more honorable way. He probably just needed the money fast and didn't have time to worry about how it would tarnish his name. Sad.
 
I was about to start a bad guy thread about Shannon Brown this evening, but it looks like someone beat me to it! I feel for you Chuck! I got the wrong snakes, but they at least look healthy as far as I can tell. I will post my emails and pics soon.
 
Wow... Very sorry about the animals and your financial loss. I had a feeling something was up with this guy. After 20+ years in the business. I can't believe it.
 
Not to take away from Chuck's thread but here's what just happened to me with Shannon Brown... My boyfriend (David Frei) and I ordered a bullsnake trio from him for $200 shipped... I didn't save the ad but every subject line in my emails to him refer to the hypo bull and ghost female combo. There was going to be a het female thrown in also.
Anyway, we paid on Thurs 6/21 through paypal and he was going to ship on Mon 6/25. So he shipped and Fed Ex didn't even knock and on the package that got left at the door said ok to leave. So we open up the box and turns out he sent us a baby ratsnake (cutest little booger ever but I don't need a baby ratsnake) and some type of king or milksnake that, again, I really don't need. Plus I doubt I could even get half of what I paid for both of them. Emailed, called the number on the package twice and left messages, no response. Luckily they both seem to be in good health, so I don't have that type of headache.
It's just a bummer people do this type of stuff. We have ordered snakes online a few times before and everything was great, so I guess this is just our lesson that things can go wrong. I was pretty upset yesterday and today, but after I read Chuck's thread I realize it could have been worse. I should have known the bullsnake ad was too good to be true
 
Yea... $200 shipped for multi het trio? That would be nice. I was fixing to buy them, but you beat me to it. I'm very sorry this happened to you. Can you post pics of the animals you recieved?

Hey, the package got here and it's the wrong snakes. One is a baby rat snake and the other is a king or milk snake it looks like. I do have pics and I'm sure it was just a mix up. We were supposed to get the bullsnake trio. Hopefully we can get this mix up fixed soon. I had to take pics on my Cell phone so do you have a number I can send the pics through text? Also the fed ex guy didn't even knock on the door and we were home. Please let me know. Thanks!

The bold email from him is pretty interesting... lol (lol at the irony, not the situation) I'll post pics in a minute.
 
BTW I also emailed his paypal account email twice with the same basic messages at the top... of course no response. I think he's about 4 hours or so away, but the address on the package may be wrong, and my boyfriend made a good point to me about not wasting anymore money on this. I was ready to drive up there just to ask him what the heck is going on. He even told me he would be at the Anaheim show with lots of pretty baby bullsnakes on the email we use for paypal, and I told him I'd have to check it out... blah I hate being nice sometimes.
