In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Shannon Brown straight up ripped me off

I'm not quite sure what we're doing with the snakes yet, but we do have a few other pet rat snakes, so we may end up keeping the baby. The milk we have no idea. The couple times I had to pick him (not sure him lol) up he seemed real calm and there's no kinks or marks that I've noticed and seems to be fed good.
It's a shame how the other guy got his snakes and I hope he posts pics soon. I guess I'm just curious how they looked.

My boyfriend also did a dispute with paypal since it's through his paypal account. We have to wait 10 days to find out anything and he made sure to tell them it was the wrong order rather than the condition since they don't guarantee live animals, so we'll see. I'll be sure to update.

You are better off filing a claim with your credit card here. Paypal will find in his favor because all he will have to provide is a tracking number (which he has for the mixed up snakes).

WOW to this whole thread. I too contacted him regarding the trio of bull snakes. I never heard back from him, so I emailed him directly from his website (http://www.kingsnake.com/highsierra/index2.html) and got a response from him saying that someone had bought them but offering a second pair of bullsnakes. I chose to decline because I was not interested in the morphs he had available at the time.

I cannot believe that he did this. I would hope that it was just a simple mixup. Shannon is well known in the milksnake community for his work with various central American milksnakes.

I sent him an email with a link to this thread.

Hopefully he/someone will come here and explain what is going on.

I didn't save the ad but every subject line in my emails to him refer to the hypo bull and ghost female combo.

So I just got off the phone with Shannon. I don't know about Chuck's situation but it seems I may have jumped the gun a little but I was worried when I saw this thread. Apparently he was out of town for the last few days and put the wrong labels on the boxes. He said he's going to send a prepaid shipping label to the guy with my bulls and send me a label to send the ones I have to the guy with my bulls. He's also going to have the guy contact me. Chris, you were right, it is an Andean milksnake :)

Once I get in contact with the guy who has my snakes, is it recommended to have him ship first? I've never had to ship a snake before and, while I'm hopeful for a happy outcome, I don't want to end up with no snakes and no money. I am personally pretty darn relieved that I heard something and I will keep everyone updated as I find out

Thank you so much everyone for your help and replies!

The title of the ad doesn't show it, but the ad included another normal female with multiple hets aside from the ghost and hypo pair. I Just wanted that known before the snakes are sent.

Shannon did tell me he spoke to Chuck on the phone when I told him about this thread (not to speak for anyone else, just to let you know what I know)

Hi Chuck. I know you said he was going to make it right. He sent the wrong shipment to the other person, and they are working it out. But did you receive the order that was meant for you? You were intentionally sent $2000.00 worth of bad quality snakes?

I recently bought about $2000 worth of gray-banded Kingsnakes from Shannon Brown. When I received them, about half of them had spinal kinks, odd lumps, and numerous other visible defects that he failed to mention before he took my money.

Could we see the photos?

Shannon and I have reached an agreement that I believe will resolve this situation. Everybody loves a happy ending, right? :yesnod: I know I do. All that's left is for Shannon to fulfill the terms of our agreement. I do believe he wants to make things right, so I think it's only fair to give him a chance to do so.

It is all fine and good that he is going to do something to make you happy. However, he sent you $2,000 worth of snakes and half of them are kinked or in some way physically messed up. They didn't get that way in shipping. Did he not know they were kinked? Did he ask for photographic evidence or just go by your word. If you said they were kinked and he agreed to make it up, one would think he knew already and there really is nothing he could do to make it right in the minds of potential buyers.

To make matters worse, he will not respond to my e-mail or take my phone calls, now that he has my money and I'm stuck with a bunch of gacked up snakes.

I do believe he wants to make things right, so I think it's only fair to give him a chance to do so.

I'm glad things are getting ironed out for you. But there are too many good quality vendors out there that won't send gack in the first place.

*UPDATE ON MY SITUATION* I spoke to the guy who has my snakes on the phone (his name is Jeff, really nice guy!) and if all goes as planned he will be shipping out Mon. I'm hoping the milksnake in my possession sheds by then so I can feel more comfortable shipping Mon also. He said to use my best judgement so I think I'll probably wait until she does shed just so I don't put extra stress on the snake. He said my bulls are beautiful and I feel like I can once again get excited about my snakes! :)

Shannon also made me a very generous offer that if I go to the Anaheim show he will make it up to me. I told him it wasn't necessary but thanks for the offer. I thought that was nice of him to offer that! Anyway as soon as I receive the bulls I will update and post pics. Thanks again everyone!

Shannon has agreed to take back anything I was not completely satisfied with. One of the things I was most angry about was the fact that I was unable to reach him by phone or e-mail, and it seemed like he was dodging me. However, he did call, and that tells me he was not dodging me. I do believe he wants to make things right, so he deserves a chance. Perhaps I was premature in starting this thread, perhaps I should have waited another day. I for one would very much like to see a happy ending to this tale, and I will be very happy to post that update when the time comes, but for the time being, I think a cease fire is in order. I'm not trying to punish him, I just want him to make things right.
