In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wanted to share a couple of pics of our new babies. The two pictured together, are siblings. One got the snow gene, and the other didn't. Can't wait for the rest to hatch.

Paul,

No albino snows yet, but we still have plenty of eggs that haven't hatched. Why can't the incubation period be 2 or 3 days. lol

Gregg,

This snow line is an Incomplete Dominant trait. To save a little typing, I will cut a paste a couple of things from my web site (www.reptiliangems.com). I also have links to definitions from Answers.com, Wikipedia, and FreeDictionary.com. The links are on my ABOUT OUR SNOWS page. In my humble opinion, most people are going by an incorrect definition of Co-Dominance, which leads to even more confusion when you add the term Incomplete Dominance. Hope the following definitions help.

Incomplete Dominance: When there is a blending of the two parental phenotypes, producing third phenotype different than either parent. One classic example of Incomplete Dominance, is when breeding some flowers, crossing a red flower with a white flower, produces a pink flower. In this case, one allele dominates the other, but only partially, producing a third intermediate phenotype, intermediate between those of the parents.

Co-Dominance: Is when both parental traits are FULLY expressed in the offspring. An example of Co-Dominance often given, is in cattle when one parent has red fur, and the other has white fur, the offspring is born with both red and white fur. As with Incomplete Dominance, a third phenotype is produced, but there is no blending. In other words, the red fur is still red, and the white fur is still white, but they are both present together. There is no blending with Co-Dominant traits. Because neither Allele dominates the other, they are both expressed fully in the first generation. In the example of the red and white cattle, the red hair is still red, and the white hair is still white, but they are both present together (hence the term Co-Dominant). You don't have to breed offspring together to get a Co-Dominant trait.

Ok Jim, let me rephrase that....LOL What did you cross the snow with to produce those babies???

That was good info though Jim....
Thanks...

Oops! Sorry about the lengthy unneeded explaination, lol. The pics are from breeding two "One copy" Snows together.

I took a look at your site.... Very nice animals.... I do have one question though....
Does your line of snows differ from that of the Mack line??? I ask this because that is how it sounds and breeding mack snow to mack snow produces mostly super snow babies....

Gregg,

I get that question a lot. My snows are not the same as Macks. I don't know if anybody has done a cross of the two lines yet, but Kelli is the only person that I know of for sure that has both lines. I thought that would be an interesting project though. Yes my snows have the same results when breeding Het (one copy) snows as the Macks do, as far as one in 4 being normal coloration. I didn't really understand what I had until last year, so this year will be the first year that I have bred these that I didn't do almost all outbreeding. I am really looking forward to seeing what comes of the breeding groups that I put together. Paul, of Bright Albino has some really interesting projects going with the Gem line also.

Nice Snows, Jim. I was actually one of the people asking if these were related to the Macks LOL They look remarkably similar, especially the Hypo ones Jim had awhile back.

I was looking at my Hypo Mack pic, as a baby, and going "whoa, these look like twins to mine practically".

Jim if I remember correctly, you werent able to see my pictures. Here is why I was telling you, they looked just like my Mack X SHTCTB.

Dan,

Yes, I remember emailing you about them last year. I see why you would wonder. Yours does look a lot like some that I have produced. I will know a lot more about my line after this breeding season. I will post updates on my web page for those that are interested. That Mack X SHTCTB is an awesome looking gecko. If you cross that one back to a Mack X SHTCTB, be sure to post pics of the babies.

Jim, wish I had kept a female (accidentally sold the only ones before my other 'temp sexed females' were sexable, which were male LOL). Bummer.

I do have a nice Mack X SHT from Kelli that Ill breed that boy to eventually. He changed quite a bit, this is a more recent pic.

Well hey you never know what will happen, maybe they will pop out something different one day. The "Mack" gene, has actually been found in the 'linebred' Snows too. I think they were Albey`s Snow lines, so you never know. Thanks BTW, I like my boy "Snowball" alot too!

Very cool project Jim.
Too bad I live in Germany...I would like to have some of your snows in my collection.
When Paul first got his Snows from you I fell in love with them.
Keep us updated on those!

Greetings from Germany, Johannes

I dont know what to think of these.... They are awesome looking.... I have a strange feeling these might be related to the Mack line though..... Only one way to find out.... Breed one to a mack... If you get a super snow, you know whats up.....

Johannes,

I don't ship internationally, but if you want to email me. we will see if we can work something out.
