In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Has anyone done business with and imported from Spellbrink in Germany? Importing and shipping is not too cheap, so I want to be sure I get my money's worth.

Thanks

Nick Puder

I have done business with Michael Spellbrink a few times, and his animals are great! You get what he advertises!

Hi!
I purchase with Pat Dring and another guy some "perfect" Eastern indigo from this guy last year and i've been screw...
Non of the snakes had the age supposed to be, some have big scars and kinked tail. Michael was suppose to replace the snakes "worst" since last year but he seem to play the innocent...
Be carefull
Justin

I sent Mr. Spellbrink 6500 usd for 3.3 indigos advertised as 6 to 8 yrs old and flawless. I was a little unsure of the guy so I asked for photos of each animal.. His camera is broken he says, (that got me very suspicious). I said will you take 6000 usd for them, his answer, a pressure tactic, is "I've already sold one pair so no I won't budge, but I can get another pair and still have 3.3" (that sounded like marketing Bull sh*t to me) So I accept the buy ( I don't want to lose the offer) and share the order with 2 other breeders. I say to him ok I just need you to declare that they are adults, that they are 3.3, and with no physical or internal flaw that you are aware of. He goes "of course, yes." Only 1 of the 6 I received was adult, the rest were maybe 2 years old or 3 max..all had cuts and scrapes on them (poached wild-caught? I had to wonder) 2 of them had physical deformity, around tail and 1 of those 2 was GROSSLY deformed with big bumps and mangled scales around its vent..I complain ..he gives crap excuse and says he'll find me some replacement for that pair. I remind him every month..he does nothing, he sends me nothing..he's a liar, a deceiving businessman, and I'm sure he sometimes sends out perfect animals, but he's proven when he needs to move a big ticket item, he has no problem with lying, cheating the customer, and failing to make repairs to the damaged deal once he has his cash...DON'T give this guy any money..if you do, please tell the guy you want your friend Pat Dring to get his indigos he promised. ;-)

Bushmaster episode

I provideda great deal of credit where credit was NOT due----I received a South American Bushmaster from Michael Spellbrink that was supposedly captive raised, etc....within two weeks, the snake voided a mass of parasites and has refused to feed--it is now two months....I have contacted both he and his partner-- about the situation and have been called a liar, etc . after I faithfully sent $1850.00 USD for the snake....I received the snake in a crudely made wooden box with the snake inside a completely wet sack made of an old sewn shirt (still gad buttons on it !!) !! The box was a single enclosed container and certainly not up to Delta Specs. After explaining my discontent I was told I would receive a partial refund---that has been a while back and so far, it has been a dog and pony act on ----I personally will never deal w/Spellbrink ever again nor will I receive a refund...DO NOT SEND MONEY WITHOUT FIRST SEEING THE SPECIMEN---I would never have spent that much money on this WILD CAUGHT Bushmaster....and if it was not wild caught why did they OK a REFUND !!?? I have bred CA Bushmasters for ten years and have written about them in Reptiles Magazine...I know what a wild caught looks like--I personally collected three CA Bushmasters in Panama several years ago and have kept Bushmasters since 1966. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS AND DO NOT SEND MONEY FIRST........Earl H. Turner

Spellbrink's partner

Michael Spellbrinks partner does business as DTS reptiles in Deerfield , Florida....I am supposed to receive a refund but I cannot even obtain an e-mail from one Dan Scolaro...he was sent $900.00 USD--before I received the snake and I guess I have totally lost any recourse...I have never been in this type of situation where promises are not worth a damn thing and being thousands of miles away, I was stupid to put any faith and trust in Michael Spellbrink.. I did find out, that oftentimes he doesn't even have the specimens ---I guess that is the reason for the next shipment changes which are seemingly a constant characteristic on Kingscam .com---I also understand that he is a jobber---go to collections---see what the other people want to DUMP for sale to buyers out of harms way and unable to see the lack of quality offered----This is what has transpired in my dealing---I hope that others do not suffer the same loss of money by trusting someone with questionable scruples....Earl H. Turner Ph.D.

We have done business with Michael on 2 different occasions. We bought a group of cb pink tongue skinks, unsexed. They arrived perfect and beautiful. We are currently awaiting our second shipment. Dan is always very prompt in returning our emails and is a pleasure to deal with. Shipments do tend to get delayed and moved around, but overall I have had very good experiences, and will continue to do business with him. I get an unbeatable deal on top quality animals. At first i was hesitant getting animals from outside the us, but i pay via paypal, and he offers a gurarentee to replace any animal that dies in shipment, or money back. None of them died in the first batch, and I have no reason to think they will in the next.

It´s always the same with you
you got the promised indigosnakes!
First they don´t have the correct size for you (but they big enough to ly eggs))
then the sex was not correct , after a while you are saying the sex was correct and you have done a mistake then a few should have a knik in the tale etc i have said i would send another male for this male with the mistake no responds
i´m tired of this.
it was the last time that i´m willing to speak about this thing that happends for 6 years?

Yoohoo! you seem to mix up this story with another one. My complaint since day 1 is that my 2 animals where not adult at all, and the little male had, and still have, a bad kink tail and don't grow up. And for the eggs, the female have been bred with another male from Mark Isbell, cause your male still a runt. Anyway Micheal, since I opened the bag you prove me your dishonesty, so now, hope you don't mind if I show to everybody what kind of transaction to expect from you. This "carton" story is probably really funny, for you, in your part of the world. Here, it's what it's look like...
