    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So, dummy me, I accepted it thinking he said he was going to send the rest in a couple days. Well, a COUPLE DAYS, have come and gone. I have repeatly e-mailed him for the rest of the payment due in full. I told him on the 28th of March if I did not receive the rest of the balance due I was going to start the chargeback process. So Monday I went to the bank and they told me I had to file within 60 days. Which is a different story I heard from the bank when I went and inquired a month or so ago. At 60 days from the 1st payment date (11-9-04 ) I had not even received the first cage yet. I got that cage 1-13-05. I have not heard a word from Sam since the paypal payment. I see no recent ads to try to sell snakes nor cages since Feb. Just a request for pictures in March...

I tried to be understanding knowing he has split from Sunshinecages after this ordeal. But come on, 5 months for a refund..What are my options at this point? Take a vacation to Jersey and small claims court ? Can you file from your home state, and travel there for the court date? Chris, from Top Shelf, have you been taken care of yet? I just want to know how far down in the line I am for reimbursement. All I know if I owed people money, I would be looking for a part-time job, not asking for pictures of a blood female snake.

well, without having to go through this whole thread..Bottom line, I ordered 3 cages from Sunshine cages (since they have split) and now it just Sam Craver that I am dealing with. Cages arrived broken and subpar. Arrived at a agreement price for reimbursement for the cages. I ordered 3 cages from cagecrafters 11-9-04 $350.00, 12-5-04 $322.50, and 12-7-04 $322.50=$995.00. Settled on keeping one cage that could be repaired and used.(also due to the fact he would not have it picked up) We agreed on a return of $739.50

Refund 1st cage=$350.00-Fed Ex picked up

After much proding by emails I recieved my 1st payment 3-22-05 for $260.00.. Then after MONTHS of excuses and emails(i can email them to interested parties if interested, they are quite entertaining excuses) I did not recieve another payment(s) until 6-10-05 for $200.00 and $50.00. Then with more perstering e-mails I recieve 2 payments in July 7-03-05 $100.00 and 7-4-05 for $75.00.This leaves payment received at $685.00 after 6-7 months. $739.50-$685.00= $54.50 balance due. I have been pretty patient with Sam, but I am sorry, I have enought of this bull****. Pay the balance!! This whole cage mess have really cost me dearly as I had to buy temp housing(on top of giving you almost $1000.00) and all the headache this has caused. It is now AUGUST, Please pay me!!, I have not had a payment since July 4th ! with no more excuses, as I should of been charging interest if I knew it would take this long for a REFUND ON MY MONEY...MY MONEY!!
 
Wow, you are way more patient that I am! I agree... that's a pretty long time to wait for a refund.

Especially considering a nice ad in any reputable rag will run you well over $1000/month.

No I didn't notice, what page? I couldn't find it....Seems odd since they don't use the name Sunshine Cages anymore. By the latest edition you mean Sept. 05 correct?

It just came out along with the regular September issue.
Sunshine Cages is on a 1/2 page color ad.

Oh, I don't waste my money on the Annual editions. I do know that Ad's for the regular monthly editions need to be paid for and submitted 4 months in advance, maybe it is longer for the Annual edition which would explain why they were still listed as "Sunshine Cages".

Has he refunded the rest of the money yet? You'd think he'd worry about protecting his reputation instead of throwing money down on a new snake... JMO. :rolleyes:

No Refund yet. I'll start sharing some great email's as to why he could not pay me starting in april...

Sounds like it. 6 months is absolutely ridiculous! Like I said, you are a much better person than I. I'd have had a fit by now! That man would never sleep until the last penny of the refund (which is your money anyway!!!) was in the account.
 
I just received the balance due via paypal..I gotta say your customer service sucks, Sam! I should of been paid in full in March. I had to PESTER you for every penny for months and if I would not of posted on the BOI, I know I would still be waiting. And I am still stuck with a junk ass cage to boot !!

So glad to hear you finally got the balance. My hubby was considering posting something about refunds for customers on the KS forum where he bragged about his new BP.

You're right though, his customer service really sucks. We will be happy to steer folks to other sources for caging.
