 well seems everyone here probably seen my posts and knows how I feel about thieves...  time to rig up that pit of rattlers and string this guy from a tree using 1 fish hook per toe...  and slowly lower him until he is begging for his life and of course, peeing all over himself (we can wash the poor rattlers off later and return them to the wild, and find a large lonely fella for the thief to share a cell with)

 Sorry to hear you got ripped off again man... seems to me that some jerk knows where you live and what you have...
possibly even keeping tabs on you through your "for sale" ads or something...
   best thing I can tell you is put up some of those little hidden cameras... put a fake air condition vent in the ceiling and hide it in there if you have to!!!   but get these bone heads on film...   I've  noticed the cops don't care if people get ripped off for snakes cuz most of the cops don't like em..
 hense this chick Jennifer Corran getting away with passing off bad checks (of course it's for snakes so they don't follow up..)  you can bet if it was for normal every-day merchandise she would have been brought into a court by now...
  so we gotta watch our own backs

 there are live feed units out there, and ones that record only when they see movement in the room (try not to let those directly in the snake's cage or it will record all the time they are exploring)    
  anyway good luck finding them and stopping them next time

Taz....YOUR post is EXACTLY the reason ALL OF US INSIST on REAL FULL NAMES being put at the end of EVERY one of your threads!! I realize you're trying to give me a heads-up, but...if you want to be taken SERIOUSLY....I would SUGGEST you come back on and post your REAL FULL NAME!! You have every right to say whatever you want to....but, it's the cowards (NOT saying you are one) who have to hide behind their computers and berate and degrade others while all the time remaining anonymous....it's NOT FAIR!! I understand this is your first post, but...go back to the beginning and read the rules of this board....
In any case....Dave HIMSELF showed me that flier...AND showed me his WHOLE POLICE FILE!! NOBODY'S PERFECT!! I can almost GUARANTEE that 90% of YOUR friends have had a run-in with the law at some time in their lives! SO HAVE I!!! It's NOT the end of the world....
To give you other folks some insight...the FIRST burglary happened right after the Tampa show in 99...it turned out to be the OLD OWNER of The Snake Pit that was responsible....I was PAID by my Insurance company...Insurance companies WILL NOT settle a claim WITHOUT a POLICE REPORT!! So, there's the FIRST report.
The second time, they stole my 6' Albino Female and some other nice stuff....I was PAID by the Insurance company for THAT ONE, TOO!! After they PAID ME....they CANCELLED MY INSURANCE for THEFT!!
The third was on Dec 16, 2001...which I had NO insurance for, but a POLICE REPOT WAS MADE!! They NEVER sent the detective out to interview me AT ALL!! The fourth time was a couple of days ago...I STILL HAVE NO INSURANCE for theft!! But, A POLICE REPORT was made of THAT ONE, TOO!
This could end up being my downfall...but, I like Dave...he's a good guy (once you get to know him), he's never done me wrong (that I can prove, anyway! lol)....Julie, on the other hand, is still quite young (22, 23, or 24)....she's got A LOT of growing up to do....but, given time...she WILL, or she'll end up with a stroke before she's 25! I, too, would LOVE to know why the cops are talking to her about MY CASE?? I AM going to call the TPD and find out!!
Well, that's my story, and I'm sticking with it!
I really want to thank all my friends out there who have sent their thoughts and ideas to me! It's very heartwarming! Thank you! ....Neil

I have spoke with Neil about posting the police reports and/or case numbers. The reply he gave me was "The only thing I have is the first contact report with my statement for the insurance company". I talked to Neil's dad Jay Gubitz who is the sole owner of the Snake Pit about another matter and during this talk I was informed that Neil is only a general manager for his father and he does not own any part of the store.I am also aware of the fact that Jay Gubitz has been in contact with several people in the herp community about the break ins of his store & he has asked me the same question that he has asked of all the people he has called "do you think Neil did the burglaries?" I am not going to pass judgement on anyone but I find it odd that even he is asking this question.

Josie please if you can post the e-mails that you have from Neil.

Well Dave..... Answer that question for us. In the earlier stages of this thread, it was said that Neil's biggest critic is currently your girlfriend. IMO, that brings up reasonable suspicion as to the motivation behind your last post. I read no accusation in your post. However, I do see you commenting on the possibility of Neil's culpability in this break-in. What is the motivation behind your post?

That is a very strong accusation, Dave. Do you have proof to back up your claim? IF you have such proof, are you willing to post it here??

I've spoken to the actual owner of The Snake Pit and he and I have talked over my proof. I'll leave it at that for now, far be it from me to stand in the way of any ivestigation. I hope this is acceptable to everyone on the board, but me like everyone else would like to see the perpetrator punished. Thanks for understanding.

You know just a wee bit too much information about this. I understand not wanting to interfere with an investigation. However, you know more than your average outside observer. It appears that you are involved in the investigation in one facet or another.

I agree. This person needs to be punished. But I can't just condemn Neil based on typed hearsay. If Neil is responsible, then factual evidence needs to be put forth in order for me to accurately make that determination. I hope you understand my feelings, Dave.

Well now Shawn. I happen to agree with you. Though I was trying to put it more tactfully. I think for any of these possibly incriminating statements to be given any merit, credible and viable proof needs to be put forward.

2) I believe that if a person is wrong then he should pay the price.

3)I have had several conversations with Neil before and after the last 3 robberies.So yes I do know alot more then most .I know Neil personally not just from the forum or e-mails so I know him for his true self.

4)I will not lie or cover for anyone that is wrong.

So yes I do know more and I will be more then happy to talk to the proper person about what I know and what I can prove but this board is not the place.

Seems to me that if you were a friend you would not come on here and infer hidden objectives and shady actions of that friend. I can understand being friends with someone and finding out later about a character flaw that makes you decide to discontinue that friendship. I can also understand wanting to see right prevail over all else. I agree that with criminal charges in the balance and the seriousness of the situation that the BOI may not be the place at this time to state all that is known. But you have let just enough information dribble out to attempt to smear a person's name and yet have not come out with anything direct, seemingly so you will have room to back pedal at a later date.

I do not know any of the parties involved just an observation from another member of the BOI.

I have not slandered Neil I have simply stated some facts that needed to be told.I have  not based anything I have said or the way I feel on heresay but on things I have personally  seen with my own eyes and what I have heard with my own ears from or by Neil himself and Neil's father.Neil may come on here and try to defend himself but we will have to wait and see.

True friends can state when you screw up (that's what they are there for).  Both you and Neil have stated that you were/are a friend but these innuendos are not the actions of a friend This is why I'm not dealing with Josie and the others posts.
