    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't know who you've been talking to recently, but noone has said anything about you or this situation here that I know of for the last two months.  
I commend you for hopefully realizing what you were doing wrong and getting rid of the animals until you were better equipped to deal with them.  But why are you bringing this up again now as if everyone has been attacking you for months and months?
And I would rather see a kid with a passion about reptiles learning and doing something with it than be some crackhead on the street, but you also need to be adult about it.  These are living animals that have essential needs, not the latest Pokemon card or whatever is hip these days.  You were not in a situation where you could properly care for your animals and you did not need them.  Whenever you are in a situation where you CAN do this, I wish you the best and you are more than welcome to contact me and I'm sure several others on this board for help.  However, if you get in the situation again where you can't possibly keep them but continue to try and to even SELL them as you did all over again, expect no mercy and expect no sympathy(not that I had any for your plight before).  
Remember, be passionate about your love for your animals, but remember, YOU have to be responsible to and for their well-being, noone else.

Just out of curiosity Randy, why are you posting a link to this thread on kingsnake?  And what kind of reaction would you expect to get?  Can you post a link to the forum on kingsnake where you posted all this?

   Do you really think you are ready to take care of bearded dragons? And how have you been taking care of the mali's that you are trying to trade for dragons? There is a wealth of herp care books out there to help you figure out how best to take care of any herp you may be interested in. In all sincerity though, I think you should concentrate on improving your communication skills before you attempt to raise any more animals and make your mark in the herp world.

my uros are well feed but they are too mussy for my cage they like to burro so they keep digging and its a screen like cage so the sand gets every where and i have to vacume all the time
i took in the uros on trade for all my leos so i would have less animals but i need an animal that is for beginners and beardies are good for beginers
i like a little larger animal and i didnt like the nocturnal leos they slept all day and tryed to run when held

are you in a better situation now to care for bearded dragons now than when you were tryingto care for your leopards?  You do realise that beardeds AND uromastyx take ALOT more work than leopard geckos right?  You do realise that they should be fed DAILY right?  Did you do research this time on the animals you are trying to get?  
If it seems like I'm badgering you, there is a reason.  I want the best for the animals you are trying to get and raise.

i order my food from the web i think its cricket farm
they eat tomato latuce and things too i have a site with all the info
i like them also because you can comunicate with them through hand signals
i tryed it at the pet store and it worked,it was facinating to me
yes i have goting my act together
i learned that im not a know it all and im wrong alot
so i should listen to what people say
i can handle the work but im gana starte with having to for right now instead of 10 like the leos

yes i know im remuving the sand and am either gana use newspaper or repti carpet
but my uros will be happyer with sand

First off, Bearded Dragons and Uromastyx should be housed in an aquarium style enclosure and not an all screen enclosure. They like it dry and hot and all screen enclosures do not allow the temps to stay where they need to be. Sand is the best substrate for both species as long as they are not little babies.  Another thing is you should NOT feed tomatos to your beardeds or Uromastyx. There is too high of an acid content in the Tomatos for them to be good for the animal. Romaine Lettuce, Collard Greens, Mustard Greens, Green and Yellow Squash, Peas, spinach are good items to feed them. I would suggest you do more research on these animals before trying to aquire them or keep them.
 
Just for the sake of my own sanity here, but I have found that beardies are really hard to keep well in a screened cage.  The heat loss is just too hard for most people to overcome, and the dragons tend to suffer for it.  I tried a reptarium set up for my beardies, but, even though I kept their room about 85 degrees (too hot for comfortable human living IMHO), the beardies were always too cold once the heat from their lamps escaped through the screen.  I would imagine that the uros would have similar problems in a screened scenario, but I've never kept uros and know next to nothing about them.

Randy, I'd say that you need more education, more research, and more patience before you try taking on any more reptiles to raise.  On a side note, perhaps it's my distrustful nature rearing its ugly head once more, but I can't help but think that Randy's post here is more of an attempt at damage control BEFORE the fact than it is his being upset about some supposed postings on kingsnake over the last six weeks.  Sorry to be so distrustful . . .occupational hazard, I suppose.

i feed my uros hybiscus , collard,and mustered
and very little carrot
like one peace a week
and they get the ocasional mealy one every week or 2 or 3
if any
 
i have found through testing that if you have enough rock in the cage it will absorb and store heat and the screen is metal
like an iguana cage
i use a 100 watt on the side with the rocks and the other side
and ther temps are 100 hot and mid 80's cool
side
because of elivations  i was able to make the drastic change
and my room is around 88 degrees cause i hate being cold
from what i read thats the temp for beardies

I have kept and both bred bearded dragons off and on over the last few years.  I am currently keeping a small group now.  A screen cage is fine if you are taking them outside for some natural sunight exposure or fresh air, but as everyone has stated, for indoor use they are not the best.  The heat loss is a major issue and beardeds and uromastyx both like it hot(my beardeds have a basking spot of about 105 and i've had uros before with basking spots of 120+).  That isn't easy to accomplish in a screen cage where the heat can just escape from everywhere.  
And the diet you are giving your uros at this point is pretty sparse.  You should vary it up and add some more things to make their diet more complete.  If you like, when I get home I will post a list of good food items for your uros and beardeds.  
But please, keep hitting the books and the net!!!  Find the good info!

This forum is NOT for the types of questions you are asking.  If you want to know how to take care of certain animals, I recommend you go to those types of forums on other sites that are geared up for such things.  The BOI is concerned with business transactions between parties.  The General Discussion Forum is for messages concerning business related topics.  I think the FOR SALE and WANTEDS forums are pretty much self explanatory.
