In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well the vet Visit should be well over by now and be home or on way home with snake.

But I have a feeling he didnt go but thats just me. I hope he does or did take her today since most vets when you set an appointment they dont make you wait.

People,

I just got back from the vet. It was not the usual guy I see, but he told me that he used to breed ball pythons. I told him and the nurse that I tube feed the snake some water. They said thats fine they tube feed sick snakes both water and food all the time.

The doctor said there is no point in testing for IBD and that the snake should just be sent back to the breeder. There was nothing I could have done to make the snake exhibit this condition in the time frame that I had it. We both think the snake is a goner since I don't think it can eat and drink in this condition. Very sad, but it happens.

Thanks for all your support, those of you who have been.

You need to offer proof of the visit, and of what the vet said, because I think you are lying. A vet would not ordinarily volunteer and opinion about where the snake should go.

Lets see the paperwork stating this. The vet knows nothing of what you posted in this thread or how you care for it to say your 100% free and clear of the cause.

That snake wasnt fine till it was fed. Anything withing 2 weeks can happen in ones collection, but its not Robs fault.

This in bold is WHY we said go to a Exotic Vet that knows snakes and deals with them more than few here and there. There are PLENTY of things that could go wrong in 2 weeks of owning a snake. Snake gets cold, RI,Scale Rot, Burns and Overheating/Heat Stroke can all happen in 2 weeks time

There is no point in continuing this discussion in the public sense. I have all the legal paperwork I need to get my money back from Rob. It is over now. I have to get back to work on my day job. I will post the paperwork tomorrow when I get it.

It's over guys.

End of discussion. Paypal will just charge Rob back. I don't know if he wants the snake or not. But I think she is going to die soon anyway.

He is giving me a letter tomorrow, and I will post it on this forum.

Surely you have a bill to scan. Every clinic I've ever visited in several different states gives an invoice detailing the animal, what was done, and the charges.

Couldn' t someone simply call and ask if the vet could see a ball python, and explain that they have one that is in the condition shown in the video. They may not be able to talk about specifics, but might just say "That isn't something we would look at" or "Actually we just had one today."

there is a difference between properly tubing liquids to a snake and "I just used a small piece of tubing to get some water into her mouth" because.. it doesn't go in the mouth, it's supposed to be down the throat. How detailed did you describe to the vet what you did?

I did. they said it don't matter.

I will be writing to Paypal, and also putting them into contact with the vet. and also giving them the documentation the vet is writing for me. Which will be ready tomorrow.

You know...maybe you should get it tested for IBD if it dies after all Thomas. You do have all of those other valuable ball pythons. If it is IBD, it has been long enough that it probably got it from one of the others at your place. You could go after everyone that sold you a snake! Unfortunately you wouldn't know exactly which one it came from; just that it didn't come from Rob. I read previously that you had enough ball pythons. I assume that means you wont be breeding them. I am sure people are not going to be interested in buying from someone who had an IBD scare in his collection and didn't follow up on it.

Wow. Just..Wow. I have read all 25 pages of this thread and I have to say that I think Rob has more then enough just cause to void the guarantee. The buyer obviously only told the vet what he wanted to hear, but even without that, his actions of force tubing a 'healthy' snake would void the guarantee right then and there. Hope the snake is ok!
