I have received word back from one of the people I wrote denying he is a student of his. I do not know whether that means he is not supervising this person, or whether he is not a student at all.
I believe the person I emailed will look into the general situation, I will continue to research as well.

I applaud what you are doing Lucille. He seems to be taken aback at the thought his community would come here to read his words. Why does it matter who reads Thomas? If you have done nothing wrong?

I live about 2 and a half to 3 hours from this guy. If he really cares about the well being of this beautiful animal and her survival, I would gladly drive to pick her up and care for her until she is fit to be sent back to Rob. I will come tomorrow 12/29/12 Saturday first thing in the morning if you really care about her. Unfortunately, all you seem to care about is your $650.

I would also take this vet to a qualified reptile vet. Someone on here posted that there is a reptile specialist not 30 minutes from you! Why not set up another appt and go there? If you won't I will.

You say "you already saw a vet, he bred ball pythons and even kept corn snakes". That is the most ridiculous statement I had heard in a long time. Okay, so my wife is having a baby, let me take her to my neighbor to deliver the baby. I mean she has 3 kids of her own! She must know what she is doing. Does that put into context how insane you saying the vet you saw is qualified because he bred ball pythons. Oh wait your appendix needs to be removed, ya know what..I had mine removed a while ago, I'll take care of that for you, no worries!

She did eat on saturday thats why I was surprised to see her so messed up the next day. If you look in the video you can see she ate a small mouse.

Rob is it impossible to say some other member local to Tom to pick this snake up and finish off its rehabilitation. And then when its healthy send it back to you or buys it from you.

Cause I feel longer its in his care faster itll die.

I live in northwest Houston and would love to help out in any way I can. I think this snake needs to be rescued and put in a temporary foster home until it is healthy enough to return to Rob. It's unfortunate that such a beautiful animal has been subjected to such negligent care. I don't have anyone in quarantine right now, so she'll have her own tub to herself until she's fit enough for shipment. I also use Dr. White at Briarcrest Veterinary Clinic ( http://www.briarcrestvet.com/ ) and can get her an appointment with him. I'd be happy to record the vet trip if need be.

Makes sense, in the previously linked facebook profile(way back) he was tagged in quite a few "festival" or "event" pics which go hand in hand with psychedelics.

Pretty sure residue in/on food/water/hands would have negative neurological affects on an animal. Poor thing may very well have been on a bad snake trip(not even joking in the least) and injured itself if that were the case. Not sure how psychedelics affect a herps system so I wouldn't be able to say for sure.

We don't know who is right or who is wrong, that much is true. However, your own descriptions of things that have been done to that snake cast enough doubt on your ability to take care of snakes. Nobody is waiting because YOU didn't wait. You said that it was either wobbles or IBD. Wobbles are part of spiders and spider combos and you knew that when you bought it, and IBD would have killed the snake already. It is neither of those, and you refuse to accept that.

My peers are going to want to look at or talk to the vet that is what they would do. They are big on education they would want to talk to someone with an education similar to theres. I will tell you that I treat everyone the same way. I have learned more from uneducated people then I have educated so It don't matter to me.

You do not treat everyone the same.You are belittling the suggestions made by experienced herpers that have been keeping snakes for decades, in favor of the opinion of " a 3rd party someone with a DMV ". YOU say things about doctors knowing more. Is that why you are working on that phd?

A lot has happened in the past 12 hours or so. Although I disagree with many things that Thomas has said, I picked this one out to address specifically:

Thomas...after a lot of thought, I have decided not to refund your money. My belief is that you tube-fed the snake water after her cage/rack overheated and she is showing signs of that in the video. I will start a thread on this transaction on the BOI at FaunaClassifieds.com so that we can get other's opinions as to what should be done.

As for that last bit, Thomas, about needing to go to business school, I did. I received my MBA from the same university where you worked as a research assistant before receiving your BS.

I would like to do the same thing you mentioned your peers would want to do: talk to the vet. When I suggested it to you, you said he didn't have time for my B.S. If you treat everyone the same, AND if you are interested in transparency (as you have also claimed), what's the problem?
