    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

James Valder is NOT an alias of whomever this scammer is that you are looking for. James Valder is my husband and has been out of the trade for awhile, yet is looking to start again. He's never scammed ANYONE...EVER. I've known James (aka FlippinRocks - his old FaunaClassifieds profile that he lost his password and old email to or chivito - his new FaunaClassifieds profile) since high school and is a stand up guy. Anyone who knows James knows he doesn't deal in pythons. His passion are boas and epicrates. I would appreciate you not spreading rumor without being able to back it up with proof.

Regardless, I am not going to let my husband's good name in the trade be ruined by any inkling of rumor. But thank you. I did realize the last post was made in 2007.

Not to start an argument here, but if your husband is trying to "start back up" again, why isn't HE here and trying to clear his name?

This is the BOI. Let him come here and clear up his name. If he needs his old account back, contact the webmaster.

A spouse trying to rectify things (even on a several year old post!) just doesn't cut it.

The whole "but" after "Not trying to start an argument," kind of negates the whole thing. He doesn't need to get his old profile back, he created a new one as previously stated. The original poster said he wanted proof that James Valder was not an alias of said scammer and I gave it to him.

I will defend my loved ones. That's the type of person I am. James, he doesn't care one way or the other. That's the kind of person he is. Those who know him know better. It's those who don't that I want to know he's anything but what this poster says he is. The original poster linked to a Bureau of Missing Persons page posted by Seamus Haley. These two had spoken extensively in the past in regard to taxonomy, husbandry, reptiles in general and such. Seamus had done business with James and was never scammed. He actually stated in the post that James produced quality boas and morphs. Not quite what you would come to expect from a scammer.

I gave proof that James was NOT an alias of whomever this scam artist may be. That's what was wanted. That's what I gave. End of story.

Although, one would think after no one in the years this post has been up has ever stated knowing James, then one day some one does, in defense of a person being wrongly accused, would be proof enough. However, I guess it's not enough. So, since my word is not enough proof, here is:

Seamus never complained about being scammed, but the poster of THIS thread jumped the gun and assumed James was someone who scammed him simply because James was from Oklahoma at the time and had fallen off the face of the earth. He did so in order to focus on finishing school at the time. He ended up selling off all of snakes around the time Seamus posted the Missing Persons Inquiry; since 2000 snakes, plus a full time job AND a full time course load is a bit much for anyone to handle on their own. However, James did eventually get his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma in 2005.

Shortly after that was when we reconnected on Facebook as old high school friends. We both attended Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated in 1991 & I graduated in 1992. He moved to Oklahoma in 1995 with his then girlfriend. It wasn't until the end of 2009 that he moved back to San Antonio for me. Love is a crazy and funny thing.

You stated that I didn't provide enough proof that James Valder was an actual person and not an alias of some lowlife scumbag who doesn't care for his animals and sells people extremely ill and malnourished pythons. However, you yourself questioned the original poster in naming so many people as this scammer's aliases. Others also said he jumped to conclusions by lumping James into a list of supposed aliases of this particular lowlife. Is this now enough proof that James is not an alias, but an actual person? However, if anyone would have actually read the link to Seamus Haley's Bureau of Missing Persons Inquiry, it would not have taken much to realize they were speaking of two completely different people.

Why on Earth would a person trying to re-establish his collection and get back into the business not care about his reputation??! That just doesn't sound right.


And it's great that you've known him since high school, and married him. Yay happy endings! I really do love them.

The question still remains, since you oh-so gracefully pointed out that he has a new username registration, why isn't he here clearing this up HIMSELF?

Or does his wife handle most things? When I deal with a seller or buyer, I don't want to hear things second hand from their spouse.

What's so difficult about him popping on here, explaining things? That way, if there are any questions, they can be answered first hand by HIM.

I appreciate your hesitance with a man's wife "handling" most things. However, I am not just a spouse. James and I are a team and we are in this together. I am a Herp wife and proud of it. I will also be buying and eventually handling the business side of his endeavor. I just had a very pleasant transaction with Leah Aldridge, aka Desert Queen on FaunaClassifieds, of Rock and Rosys.

As far as your question as to what's so hard about him popping on here and explaining things, James currently works 2 full time jobs, working anywhere from 75-80+ hours a week, while I'm in school taking a crazy course load and finishing my Biology degree. He really doesn't have much time, period. He's lucky if he has 1 full day off a week, but that's a rarity. He will eventually "pop" in here, when he can find some the time to spare. I will also see if he can't speak with some of the more well-known, respectable people in the trade that he knows can come here and vouch for him as well. Until then, you will just have to take my word for it.
 
I never questioned that James was a different person...and I am very aware of my previous posts in this thread.
What I stated was that you haven't provided "proof"; and the only reason I mentioned it was because you stated you had. You saying something is true doesn't make it so; nor does you proving that you are married to him prove anything other than that you are married to him. While your history with James is a wonderful story; it is fairly irrelevant to this thread, regardless of how happy you may be together. I don't suspect that James Valder was ever involved with the stuff that started this thread; and I confronted the OP about his half-assed "logic" years ago. You've made your statement, which is all you can really do - and I understand your desire to clear his name...but I suspect that you are effectively preaching to the choir. I mean no disrespect, but your limited free time could surely be more effectively spent on other things than keeping this old thread on the top of the BOI.
 
Thank you for understanding, Harald. I was simply backing up what I had stated earlier; 1) that James Valder is an actual person and not an alias, and 2) proving that I am in fact married to James Valder (that is why I posted the link to our marriage license). And thank you for giving me the opportunity to do so. I appreciate your time and will let this thread be.
