    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I understand your points, and NO i do not deserve a medal, that was not meant as a chest thumping post.
It has opened my eyes, something I didn't even conceive that could happen is happening to TSE and chris. I will now try my best to plan for my absence, something I hadn't even thought possible.
And I know what the issues are, my post was just to point out exactly what it did, no more no less....

I was not attempting to be sarcastic, but the fact remains, in any business that deals with the public, contingency plans have to come into the picture. It basically a question of survival.

You cannot expect employees in good faith to take the lead unless you have someone who is going to fill the shoes of Chris. This really should not have happened in the first place. If anything, a well tuned business should be able to run its daily business with a good crew and someone who can helm the ship even if the principle is unavailable due to sickness, time off, vacations, etc. The current situation is unprofessional and full of excuses. Hopefully some of these eye opening posts will provide Chris the strength to change some of his policies. I am sure everyone at TSE works hard and is trying to do the best that they can, but without a plan, it will eventually flow into a sea of mediocrecy, and the sales will go elsewhere.

I wasnt saying to wait much longer. I was just saying that they might be sending a lot of packages soon. Can you get them on the phone???

Jerry, I understand your posts....you are a business man too, I am a bit younger than you, and definately greener....I would say that this had not even crossed my mind till I this situation arose with chris, it certainly is eye opening, I will definately begin to get things in order in case something like this happens to me.....

First I would like to say I am NOT waiting on a package from TSE , but, has anyone recived animals that have been ordered from TSE in the past few months?

Thier bleeding internally because they are behind in thier shipments?? No one has been ripped off or scammed. The original poster on this thread has already resolved his issue with TSE and stated it publicly and appologized for the direction of this thread. No one is out any money. No one is out any animals. They have a perfect history in the reptile community, they have a great good guy certification with 55 members here on it, they have 9 good guy threads on the BOI with a heck of a lot of good guy posts on them, yet you say they are now bleeding internally just because they got behind due to the weather and Chris's absence. They said they are shipping as many animals as they can everyday to get caught up.
It appears you have something very much against TSE or Chris personally at this point. If you know of anyone getting ripped off please post it.

Weostan - you have brought your issue to the BOI and you ordered your animals less then a week ago, dont you think thats a bit premature?
 
Weostan- were you prompted by another member to bring your issue here so that you will get your animals faster?

I have never met Chris, have nothing against him personally, nor have I ever had any dealings with TSE. Thats one clarification.
When I indicated that they were bleeding internally, it basically indicated that they have an wound. Apparently one that seems to surface itself on more than one occasion. The fact is they (meaning Chris and TSE were not prepared for a contingency such as the owner being incapacitated. Which incidently can occur to anyone. But with one exception. When it comes to holding other peoples money.

Apparently their is some miscommunication about refunds which were sent to Top Shelf in good faith and no notification was given that things would be held up as they have been. The fact that they are a bit delayed provides no solice for not notifying people , if for nothing else then to alleviate their fears, about loosing their funds as well as not receiving anything within what should be considered a reasonable period of time. So please , if you have some additional factual information that you can provide , please do so.

I would be very curious to hear how these complaints have been dealt with now that people are aware of the situation.
 
Nicholai, all i said is that i wish i would have found this before i ordered, and then awsered someones question. i have not said any thing against TSE or Chris. lets put it like this ... if you just paid 20 buck for gas and went outside and no gas came out of the pump what would u do go back inside to see why ? i would ... but the door is closed with a sign that reads closed for a little while but we have not forgotten about you we will contact u when we will let u get the gas u already paid for?

seems to either ignore the fact or does not seem to understand the basic premise when monies are sent in advance. Communicate ! Take a close look at Chris's original explanation where he clearly had decided to cease taking responsibility of his own operation while he was convalescing!!!!!!

To make matters worse, he provides this explanation on the BOI as a legitimate excuse. Call it what you want, its a lousy way to do business. The most important thing in this industry Nicholai is to insure that the person who is paying you in advance is getting the service he is entitled to with a quick response, and an intellegent explanation if their is a problem. Certainly not allot to ask for. Its inexcusable to keep people in limbo, and without question very unprofessional, which I am sure you would not like to be on the receiving end if you paid in advance. You can bet your bottom dollar, that their will be allot of changes if and when Chris resumes, or changes his TOS in order to keep his operation from dwindling in sales. People are patient , but their is a limit to their patience. The worst thing you can do is to keep people in the dark.
 
i will definitely concede i am very impatient person, nicholai but i did not intend on bashing anyone, just to let people know there is a problem at TSE.
