Man my opinion you should send those snakes back.. very least they have been in contact with sick and or WC animals. The worst part is like everyone else stated they could be imports or CB carring who knows what.. if they picked up some nasty bacteria they could be incubating a much more serious threat to your collection.

Another big question would be to Chris. Chris are you going to have a business to come back to when you get well? I realize you are not in the best of health, but neather is you business. You have people that have paid their hard earned dollars with you. And yes it was with you that they have trusted with their money. None of these people had any idea that they were not dealing with YOU. You can make excuses why you were not the one/ones they were dealing with. But the fact remains TSE, and you are one and the same. And thus, the one collecting these funds.
It is high time to make this right, and not depend on your so called partners/help to make this right. This is your business, and therefore up to you to make this right.
Not to metion shipping sick snakes. What are your intentions on making this right?

Giardia? That is usually something that is seen in imported animals, not cbb USA. Either that or animals kept in really nasty conditions. I am really surprised to hear this latest development. Has anyone ever actually met Glenn or Pat in person, or spoken to them on the telephone? This is just ridiculous.

I have never talked to them or met them, I don't even know if Pat and Glenn Shelton are male or female. Married, Brothers, Father and son?

I am worried that this situation seems to get worse and worse everyday. I think Chris should direct his employees to start addressing everyones concerns, right here on the BOI, in this thread. When a company like Topshelf sells very expensive animals, and offers longterm guarantees, you would expect the owner to put a lot of "weight" in those guarantees. It appears the guarantees are worthless if the owner can just "walk away".
I guess it is not my business since I have not made a purchase from Top shelf, but if I had, I think I would be entitled to know WHAT IS WRONG WITH CHRIS?

The quote above from one of TSE's responses via Pat & Glenn to Bob E gives me the impression his life is in jeopardy. I can understand him not wanting to deal with any of this if his condition is indeed as bad as Pat and Glenn imply.

I too hope he walks away from whatever is going on healthy and happy. Although it apprears he may be walking back into a business that is on life support.

The irony of that statement is they (Pat and Glenn) are telling people Chris was not involved in their transaction so there is no need for him to get involved. Quote Unquote. They can't have it both ways. Are they saying they can only take money in Chris TSE name but not return money or make good on wrongs. In that cast they TSE ( Chris Pat and Glenn ) should not of continued doing business, i.e. taking peoples money until Chris gets better. So Bob can't get resolution until Chris is better? Does this sound reasonable to anyone?

That being said, I think we all feel for Chris being sick which has been said a million times and a million different ways. Heck someone even gave him free snakes as a gesture ( Ironicly they were ball pythons, I wonder what they were het for? ;-) ). Can we start a "get well thread" for Chris on a differEnt thread. And keep "on topic" in this one. I promise to be the first one to post in it for him to get better!

Unfortunetly his illiness does not change the fact that they TSE (Chris Pat and Glenn) have taken tens of thousands of dollars of money from people!

With all due respect, Casey, you are wrong. The specifics of a person's health are quite personal, and there is no reason or obligation to make them public knowledge. Chris did give some insight to what has been going on, right here in this thread...so if anybody is interested, it is simply a matter of reading. Don't take that to be a defense of TSE's situation or behavior, because it isn't.

There is no reason for all of this and if it were my money they had I'd be talking to my Credit card company or who ever to get it back,, Enoughs enough it is well past time this should have been taken care of by TSE. Randy

I would feel some obligation to my customers to be made aware of different possibilities that may occur regarding my health, but maybe that is just me.


There is some speculation in this thread about several different things, people, I will not elaborate on my thoughts, but if I had bought hets from TS last yr. I wonder what they would be worth right now, Knowing that TS could disappear today if Chris's health does not improve.

I still have trouble with the whole it is to cold to ship for months on end thing. Either don't sell if ya can't ship or charge for extra heat packs an insulation and Ship!! Just take care of your customers "They Are your Business"!!! Randy

Exactly. Some people buy ball pythons as investments, spending lots of money. If I had bought $50,000 worth of hets last year from TopShelf, and needed to sell some right now, what kind of guarantee would I be able to offer?
I do hope Chris gets well soon, and I think that he owes his customers much more than they are getting right now.

There are all sorts of reasons a business can go south. I believe relevance is directly related to integrity or the lack thereof. If someone is a scammer, we should know and sooner or later, it comes out here on the BOI and with that information, people can make their choices.
If other, more personal reasons contribute to the decline of a business, I believe it is enough to know that it was not a scam; and that the business should be avoided until it conforms with the bottom line which is a good sale with good products. If this particular business fails because it doesn't deliver, that is appropriate because no one wants to be on the receiving end of a bad deal.
However,
people have a right to their private lives.

I would agree with you in general, but in this particular situation, ill health is used as a shield to duck behind everytime the hard questions were posed. When someone throws their medical condition out there as an excuse, they are making it a public issue, not us.

As I said before, the relevance is that Chris, TSE, & Pat/Glenn and some people on the BOI are making it an issue. How would someone know that they are not going to get a good product. by checking here? I did and look how helpful that was. I'm not ready to admit that this isn't a scam. Waiting months for shipping, Getting sick animals of dubious pedigrees, sound like a scam to me.
I had a stroke last August, I'm still recovering. Is that relevent to my transaction? No, but if I stated that because of the stroke, my judgement was impaired, and I was too sick to realize that I might be better off ordering my snakes from someone other than TSE. Then it is relevant. So now my personal medical condition is out there in the public for everyone to judge, and it was because of me. You can't have it both ways.

I would have thought in this situation that TSE would make sure to send outstanding animals to put some concerns in this thread to rest.

Bob, I would ask again, since my question was ignored. If we are going to tar and feather TSE on the issue of husbandry and the quality of animals they are selling now please provide proof that the animals sent to you were sub-par. There has never been a post in regards to the poor quality of animals sold byTSE.

Was the paperwork supplied accompanied by a picture?

Getting sick animals of dubious pedigrees, sound like a scam to me.

Please provide the proof.
