In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

That's great to hear, Zach. Not only does it mean more chances to get a pied (more babies=more chances!), it just also means some new babies for you, no matter what color they hatch out. I love baby season. ;)

Given the last couple of pages...

....I think that after 1,664 posts this thread has finally run it's course. Unless anyone has anything material to add that has not already been said, (i doubt it highly but I guess it is possible), i vote for a much needed break from this topic. I think all agree that TSE has dug themselves a hole that cannot be climbed out of so what is the point in rehashing the same points over and over and ove.................?

Certainly it has had its tangents and mild flare-ups, but what is a "vote to give it a break?" I would hope that this implies nothing except that you may be choosing not to post for some specified amount of time, although I have nothing but high regard for your posts. I would hope that this thread gets yanked to the top once daily until there's some resolution, or the legal avenues have been adequately exhausted. The hope would be for something worth reading, an update, etc., but let the poster decide the merit of the effort. As new folks view this website on a daily basis, most of us would agree that TSE is deserving of all possible warning signals. The BOI is not exactly the FBI's top ten, but it will have to suffice for now. It would be a safe bet that Chris is trying to re-invent a means of income, and will likely be looking for an "easy money" route via the internet again. Unfortunately, he likely still has a few cohorts that would assist him in this effort.

Jim, I couldn't agree more. This thread should stay near the top, until there has been some resolution.

Jim.... I know this site isn't like the FBI's Top Ten List.... but, I could SWEAR I saw Rich on "Cops" the other night.... yep, in his Vette with his shirt off being chased.... What happened Rich??.... Illegal Corn Snakes??.... lmao

This thread SHOULD be bumped to the top once in awhile.... I agree....

I am most definitely not trying to minimize the situation. My point is that the thread has now devolved into dozens of pages of speculation on other topics than the very real problem which prompted this threads creation. Please correct me if i am wrong but my understanding from following this thread since inception is that

1.) TSE has been taking orders since last fall and not shipping the animals out "due to weather conditions" (crock).

2.) It has now become known that a large number of individuals are waiting on these orders.

3.) TSE has offerred various additional excuses including the FedEx Maximum package crap that do not hold water.

4.) the Thread originator finally received his animals in poor shape and is now planning on returning them (justifiably so)

5.) TSE does not have the financial ability to issue the justly deserved refunds on their delinquent orders.

Unless i am missing something, this is the gist of what this thread was created about. These are very serious issues that should and, undoubtedly have, ruined TSE and Chris Johnson's reputation permanently(again, justifiably so)

My point in suggesting a slow down in the rehashing and non-material posts is two fold.

1.) the entire issue of the possibility of "fake" hets is 100% meaningless until it is proven. The only way to prove it is to verify some hatchings. It sounds like that is on the horizon. At that point, the issue becomes worthy of discussion. the last 50 pages of this thread have dealt predominately with this non-issue. It detracts from the original point of the thread and, again is meaningless till several clutches are either proven out or proven as fakes.

2.) When a thread is started for the very real and important resons this one was, burying the vital info on this many pages of non material discussion tends to limit the effectiveness. My personal feeling is that pretty much no one researching TSE on this board would take the several hours necessary to read through this thread.

I should have been more specific in my original post. I strongly sympathize with all who have been taken by TSE. My thought though is that this thread would serve it's intended purpose far better if a synopsis of the facts of the situation were placed on the last page and updated as info become available. It can be kept on the front page with a simple "bump" every couple of days. To bury the facts of the situation in more baseless speculation only serves to cloud the issue. I personally think that the whole "fake het" issue should have been left to another thread entirely. For the purpose of this very important thread the "het" issue should have been treated as "off topic.

Just my humble opinion.

John,
I agree with most of your views, and had no trouble understanding what you meant about the topic meandering. I also thank you for this most recent post, as it serves as a summation to any new-comers as to what the prior 1600+ posts are about. Any critique that I intended to infer, and it was somewhat meant in a humorous tone, was that we should accept all the bumps in the thread, as they are inevitable. That many are not worth reading comes with the turf, but is also just a matter of opinion. We disagree on the inclusion of the het issue, as I am all for any legitimate questioning of Chris's products here.

In my opinion the fake het question has been proven. Chris/TSE had an unlimited supply of "only one left" hets. I have shown this with their emails to me and to another victim in this thread. Even if he had sold some actual hets and they prove out, it is going to be irrelevant to people who spent money with him and are still worried about being ripped off with fake hets. It is very likely that most of hets are WC/Farmed babies. He could of shut up most posters here by just showing some pictures. He didn't. Why? He doesn't have the adults to photograph. This is not a new issue. People back to 2004 requested pics with their purchase. I have yet to see a post from one person who have seen pics, or one person to post that they have seen his collection. NOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no collection to see. The hets are likely ALL not hets. It is just too bad that it took so long for all of this to come to a head.

Has Chris had a visit by the authorities? If so I have missed that post. With such a scandel being uncovered I am surprised that actions have not been taken against him yet by the authorities.

I think saying that anything has been "proven" is an awful strong statement. Again, I'm in NO WAY defending him (I have hets from him already as well as more purchased that I haven't gotten) but I've seen many sales pitches where they tell you there's "only one left" to get you to think you need to make the snap decision to buy before someone else snatches it up. Shady way to do things at best, but still a possibility.

That said, I'm still not holding my breath, but to say anything has been "proven" is premature, IMO.

Cathy,
If Chris's hets start to prove out legitimate, that might be one of the best plates of crow I ever ate :) I do hope that the hets are one thing that Chris did right. Which leads me into another angle. I have said several times that one reason I hold Chris in such low esteem is not so much that his business failed, but that he has so far handled all with contempt and the actions of a scammer. Maybe he blew the money and does not have animals to fill orders, and has no hope of rebuilding his business to make good on it all. But he knows what people's concerns are, and what has been discussed here. Did he step up like even half-a-man and try to document the validity of his hets, get out pictures of breeders, etc? He could have done it all in emails, and avoided the direct scrutiny of this thread. That he chose to handle it all as the lowest of the low encourages no one (I'll eat that crow if and when), and warrants no sympathy regardless of his personal circumstances. Are feathers any good with Tabasco, just in case?

Well, I have no intencions of eating crow. I still am looking for the proof of that death bed illness that Chris endured. BTW Chris, Hows work?

Or maybe the TOS on his website, which I might add means nothing.

Also proof of him shipping very sick snakes.

Then again proof of the never found, or known Pat and Glen.

Could it be it is yet still to cold to ship?

yet again it could be he is trying to ship to many packages.

And then his bank and Paypal freezing his accounts.

Yep, I don't think crow is on my menu.

Oh, almost forgot. Don't complain, or you will be last on the list.

Or is there a chance it was all a lie? If I was a betting man, I would put my money on the latter. If they are proved to be hets, it still does not excuse him for any of his actions to these great buyers.

No crow for me, I'll pass on that one. :)

Irony?

Hm, I just found this post of Chris's on another thread, and found it painfully ironic. Wonder if he ever thought about following his own advice?

He's probably another one of MANY who live by a wholesaler down there in Flordia who mark up the lists they recieve and then distribute it as their own. It's VERY common actually..... More common than most would think. Many big names in the business do it to this very day with specimens readily obtained from reliable sources.

In most cases people like this are around for a few weeks or months at most and realize thier very minimal profit is not worth the hassle and time involved, then they disappear as quickly as they appeared. A few actually make a living from it, take care of thier customers, hand-pick quality specimens from suppliers, and make a good name for themselves. This allows future growth and expansion of thier business based on good reputation. Its a starting point for many, but usually the very same starting point ends up being most individuals breaking point or undoing. It's alot of work being a middle-man, and alot of people lose interest and patience with it very fast. The payoff is minimal at best.

I cannot really knock the brokering aspect, BUT this crap with SCAMMING people out of thier email addresses with the sole intention of SPAMMING them is by far one of the most pathetic and underhanded attempts by one of these types I have ever seen. It is basically theft and solicitation.

Trust me, he wont go far............ He would have had a better success rate simply advertising like most people. Keeping his prices low, his name clean, his selected specimens healthy, and his customer happy. Now instead of generating business, he's generated hatred. Good move there slappy, you're a rocket scientist!

Very well put Jim. I could not have said it better. I agree that his actions have been deplorable. The arrogance and contempt he has shown have compounded this situation a hundredfold. The only thing that leads me to believe that this rapid spiral downward was at least precipitated by some catastrophic event (illness, something else? Who knows?) is the fact that, until this recent spate of unshipped orders, I have not seen a bad word printed about him. His cavalier response to the problem at hand has obviously sealed his fate in this industry going forward but, at least it offers a dim glimmer of hope that past dealings (i.e. the hets)may have been on the level.

For the sake of all who have invested their hard earned money in those animals, I certainly hope they prove out.

Cat_72 : I think saying that anything has been "proven" is an awful strong statement.

Lying is not a sales pitch. I can show you 4 emails fafter the fact from them stating that I indeed did purchase the last one. They sold and attempted to sell several more, at the same time he was telling me that I had absolutely bought the last one. I am sorry but trying to reconcile this as possibly only a poor sales technique is blindly ignorong the facts.

I was rereading emails from them last night and a certain statment caught me attention. It basically said if I do not stop asking questions I will be placed at the end of the line and stuck be my lonely trying to bleed blood from a stone. How true that statement is ringing right now.

Chris Rouille

I agree with Cathy. Stating it's the last one when it is clearly not is unacceptable. It reminds me of the statement: ..."It belonged to an old lady that kept it always in the garage, and used it only to go grocery shopping"...
