    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Too many "I"s to spell the word team. If the same amount of energy was spent on getting this resolved, that's been spent on the useless OT talk, this would be close to a resolution, good or bad, by now. IMO

I've spent time each day for 2 weeks now trying to catch up where I left off on this thread. It's comical actually. The Holy Grale of BOI threads, and at least half of it is useless nonsense. People talking just to be doing so.

I will say that Chucks advice of getting some Hets and a visual morph is a great idea. At least then, if this continues to sit on the burner, at least you start to recover some of your losses. Actually, it's close to the only useful thing that's been added the last, I don't know how many pages.

Hope this all works out for everyone who got took.

Hey Sting, glad fauna classifieds worked for you. Hopefully there are enough local people that you can sell to so that you can actually make a profit!! Pretty tough these days to sell without some on-line forum.
I can't quite see how you can be making your "money back" unless the hets you're selling are connected to Chris' hets. If not, you're just continuing to sell snakes. Just like many others, who still feel they've lost something through their dealings with Chris regardless how many other snakes they sell.

If you are re-selling TSE hets, you are no better than Chris.

If not, as was already said, all you are doing is making money that you would have made anyway. Chris still has your money, you have made nothing "back". And yeah, the whole name-calling and profanity thing makes you look so much better than the rest of us. LOL.

Rick, I really agree with you. So many folks have been on here blowing off steam about nothing being done...when they have no idea.....why don't they step up and do something to help? They could start calling attorneys, contacting victims who have not filed their depo, whatever would be of some use. Some of us have exhausted all of our local possibilities, and would really appreciate some help from someone who knows their way around the legal aspects of it much better than maybe others of us do.

I think the buying of the TRUE hets would be a great idea....however, it would be difficult to iron out a lot of details. For instance....where do we draw the line as to who gets to see aid from this? There were many folks who maybe made one post saying, "I got ripped off too" and never did anything more about it, and I'd bet more would pop out of the woodwork, if they thought they would perhaps benefit from this. I wish everyone who had been ripped off from TSE could see some benefits, but how do we judge just how many are involved?

While I am no fan of the petty bickering, I would also not overlook that members here did organize very well, in spite of the bickering, and have already brought more heat to bear on Chris at TSE in pursuit of a scammer than any group of private citizens that I can recall in the herp business.

Cat, How about drawing the line with the ones who sent in there paper work to Det. Brown up to date, In my opinion they did care enough to see Chris get his come uppin's and take it from there...anyone who didn't file gets to stand at the back of the line its only fair.

First off I wasn't involved with Chris but I have read every post in this thread. I believe there was some confusion whether people could send in paperwork to Det. Brown if they actually rec'd animals. I believe everyone that rec'd animals feel they were scammed just as much as those that lost actual dollars. Possibly there would have to be proof they purchased hets from Chris. Just as there would have to be if they wanted to be reimbursed by a court decision, as remote as that possibility is.

OK, Kevin I do see your point,So how would you approach this ?? At this point in the venture we (they) need some sort of closure, and seeing as the wheels of justice move slower then tar on a winters day, we as a community need to come up with solutions, I am open to suggestions.
 
So who here thinks it is too late to have any closure with all of this? If/when Chris is finally to appear in court, how many are going to show up at the hearing? How many think money will be returned? Who thinks that action should have been taken back when this all started? Not knowing exactly where Chris is, how much more time is it going to take before action happens?

Knowing the State of NY this whole thing will most likely be resolved when my Gran kids start college and they are 5 & 7 :) I think what needs to be done is set up a chat room and anybody who has anything invested in this (IE) sent money received nothing, sent money received snakes, and anyone who contributed to the civil fund, Sit down and sort through this and come up with a solution calmly and as Adults, and handle this as a community not as a lynch mob, these are just my thoughts, I would like to go with the suggestion Chuck made about investing the civil fund into a breeding fund to help get back something for these people.

Bill, I think that's a great idea. I honestly believe that those immediately involved could have a very "adult" discussion about this, it seems to be when those who are on the outside looking in get involved that tempers begin to flare, for the most part anyway.

Chris's location IS known, at least last I heard from Detective Brown. And I'm not sure what you mean by "action happening", there were people working on getting some sort of case put together within a short time of this whole nightmare coming to light.....I can't say what the holdup is from the NY authorities, other than the fact that a lot of folks didn't take the initiative to send in their deposition. I'd guess that a lot more would have been done if more had sent it in............

It only takes about 30 seconds to set up a password protected chat room here on fauna chat..and that's taking your time about it. An "insiders" discussion certainly seems in order right about now. Those of us looking in on this can all hang around to bicker til the cows come home..but it's You guys that are most directly effected here and it's You that should decide the next move to make.
