In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It is terrible shame that individuals such as this do in fact exist in the herp world. This is a wonderful hobby and it is unfortunate that individuals such as these spoil it for the rest of us leading to some of the negative labels that do exist. This is a big loss for me and one that is ongoing, however, I made a commitment when I purchased these and feel that I have a responsibility to the animal that is alive and continues to suffer. In short I am prepared to do what is necessary to improve its chances of survival with the hope of ensuring its future health in a positive manner. I am additionally grateful for the opportunity to share the information concerning my recent misfortune with the rest of you so that no one makes the mistake that I have, especially in doing business with these individuals. It is a mistake I have learned from. I would like very much for the snake to survive this disease in a fashion that will prevent it from experiencing a poor quality life. This will be the remaining mainstay of my efforts given Mr. Soto's neglect to appropriately address this matter and the lack of concern that he has shown for the individual(s) remaining in my care as well as the individuals present in the livestock he currently maintains. I can only imagine. I would like to thank all of you for reading my posts.

It appears as if my third attempt at re-posting the photos has yet again failed. Please feel free to view them on the web link below.

I will be posting all of the conversations I share with Alex and Kelvin for the public to see from this point forward. For those interested I will also provide updates with the current progress of the snake remaining in my care.

Hello,

My name Kelvin Soto and I am owner of Touch of Class. I saw and sepreated the snakes before my emp[olyee shipped the snakes. They emeralds was perfect. I will not permit or allow an animal that is sick to be sent out, for it to be returned to me. All my animals are de-womred an guranteed eating. Jason, why did you not tell us right when you recieved the snakes? Like our term say. If it was sick why did you not return the snake? We have many emaralds and would have sent you another one. Why would you take the snake to the vet or do examinations on it to waste more money than you spent when you simply could have returned them and i send you another one. Also the picture that is shown by Jason only shows a photo of the snakes neck. We sent a snake that was Green, Yellow, and White. The picture he is sending is a total green snake. Jason, again i ask to you, Why did you wait over 2 days? when all you has to do was send an email the day you recieved then snake and we would have sent you another one. WHy would you pay for an examoination? YOu should have sent us an email and we would have sent you another one. THis is why reptile buisness are how they are, you are working with a new company but we having doing this for long time. I do not wish to speak of this anymore. If you would have told us the same day and we would sent you new snake. Also to an email that was recieved by Donnie Alverson, threating my company. I have not been doing reptile shows cause things have not been selling. Nex time I in show, Donnie Please you come to table of mines and tell me what was said in the email and so you can see the animals we offer.

The picture he's showing looks to be the same color as another snake you have for sale. and it doesnt look to be in that great of shape either IMO. notice the top of the head on the bottom picture in the link below? is that a sore of some sort?

This may be hidden in the mix of posts on here, but just curious, what was the time frame between receiving the snakes, and contacting the company?

51 hours and 45 minutes. Not long after the buyer was able to get home from a late veterinary shift and put together results from private tests he made at home after examining their condition.

In other words, "immediately/as soon as possible"

As you stated the animals did arrive on Novemebr 20,2009 4:08pm at the specified shipping address. I received the specimens (sealed in the box that they were shipped in) from the individual that I entrusted to receive them late Friday evening, minutes prior to being called back to the University for an emergency call inroute to the University zoological medicine ward. As a student I am required to be on call 24/7 and when called I am required to arrive at the clinic within 30 minutes of receiving that call and that is why I was unable to contact you at that time. I placed the animals into my isolation ward, in which they remained with the appropriate necessities untill I examined them sunday afternoon. Given the morubund condition of the patient I was assigned to at the clinic, I was not able to return home until late Saturday evening because my services were required throughout the course of the night and the following day. Unfortunatly the patient was pronounced dead late saturday evening at which time I was permitted to return home. Sunday was the first oportunity available to me to examine the animals and to perform the blood smears, cytology preps and photographs, which I sent to you in my email sunday evening.

Emphasis is mine.

I put the pics side by side to see if I could identify a few points of similarity...I don't know if this is wishful thinking or not, but the circled spots seem identical.

Deb, thats the same one i was refering to earlier in the post that i said looked identical too me and posted the link but it didnt show up right.

Too many large, white crossbars elsewhere that don't match up.

So you are suggesting that a different snake was possibly shipped, or the OP is lying?

Sadly, the purchased snake is not laid out. It's difficult to match up the markings (for these old eyes at least). Maybe with the pictures side by side, some of the youngsters can have a go.

I did find a few other similarities...but like I implied..I wouldn't bet the farm on it. So unless the OP can post pics of the snake in basically the same position as the advertisement, imo, it's going to be a bit difficult to say with any degree of certainty that these are the same snakes, or definitely are not the same snake? :ack2:

Given the information currently available I am inclined to believe that the OP has been completely truthful.

You look at the website and you read how well they care their animals, all about the importance of cleanliness and sanitizing and hand gels.

But not one photo of their establishment. No pics to support the place operates under the way they state they do.

No pics except for that one in the KS ad. And from what little I can see in that pic, it does not appear that the words describing how they operate come close to matching.

And wouldn't you know it.....you need an appointment to visit their shop. Because they must be very busy cleaning all the time, sanitizing things, getting your gown and rubber gloves and booties ready just for your visit.

Probably another "shop" you can smell miles away, and it aint of disinfectants.
