Hello Everyone
First let me start off to Jen,
Hey there, I left you a message today for you to call me. So I left you my number on your cell. I know you don't answer unknown numbers, LOL!!
Second,
Mike,
Sorry about the eye caps. I really hate the humidity here in Texas, but like I just said IT'S TEXAS.. Hope the pastel does great for you and I would love to get a baby back from him this year. Glad you like him, he was my favorite..
Third,
Steve, glad to here that male fathered those awesome morphs for you and I am glad you proved him out genetic. Shoot me an email and let me know if you have any Caramel males from him..
Fourth,
Jim, In response to the heat packs situation. I am not hear to call Jen a liar or anything at all. I consider her a very great customer and a very fun person to talk to. ( Hey Jen I still would love to take your house over mine anyday )!!! But I always buy every year a case of 60 hr heat packs from Superior, you know the orange ones? And because our temps here in Texas at the time were low 90's to high 80's I cannot remember if I put a heat pack in or not. I have been shipping all of my snakes in boxes with no airholes and very tightly taped because it does keep them close to the same environment that they left if packaged correctly. But none the less, I may have decided not to put one in because I always ship out around 5-6 in the evening and I would rather a snake get a little cool than a little to hot and fry their brain. If you remember, the original Platty Daddy came in from Africa nearly frozen and about 40 degrees core temp due to no belly heat in the plane and now look at him today. So I am very sorry that DHL screwed up but I was not planning on that situation and I shipped everyone else's snakes the very same way and a couple went up to New York, so I do not know what to say, but I cannot claim ignorance or negligence. I was very happy to hear that she started feeding as great as she did and the email I was sent from Jen stated that she was very fiesty and was striking at everything that moved until she fed her. But I did keep in contact with her throughout the whole deal and although I cannot take the blame for the RI, I do have circumstances with Jen to help her out if anything is to happen to her.
Fifth,
Dennis, please read the above statement. Once again, I will not post the email that I was sent from Jennifer because that is our business and private. But the letter stated that the snake was doing great and that she was fiesty and feeding. If you are saying that no heat packs contributed to the snake getting an RI and that I owe for that, then I will have to disagree. The snake did not regurgitate its food nore did it arrive after three days of being lost with severe sinus drainage and wheezing. Not at all, after three days of being lost, it was fiesty and fed on two rats.
Sixth,
Pete, glad to here about the bloods. Dang that has been a while back. Thanks for the update.
To everyone else, this business and hobby is allot of fun. I have been doing this for almost twenty years now and there are allot of ups and downs. I have experienced allot of things ( some I would have rather not had ) but allot I am glad I did. There are three things that I have learned in this business,
1. You can not always please everyone no matter what you do.
2. At some point in this hobby you will see the same money pass through your hands more than once.
3. These are animals, wild creatures, and no matter how exact and to the T that we try to mimic there natural environment, things happen that we cannot explain and they either get sick or sometimes even die without any reason at all, trust me I know and have been on the receiving end of that stick more times than I care to remember.
Thanks,
Wyatt
