    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Dead Snakes State side

You state ......I immediately took them to a State side vet to have them looked at, and both had a total of 47 ticks removed from them, absolutely covered in mites, and scars from head to tail on both....

I am curious as to why you would do this? The snakes were dead why take them to a vet? Did you pay for the vet to count the ticks?

Where was the paperwork? As you are well aware of those snakes require CITES Paperwork so you must have had a good 6 weeks to wait while the order and the paperwork was processed. So to have them arrive suddenly with no warning is highly suspicious. No one would bother to pull paperwork on such low-end wild caught snakes. Plus if you are bringing over the border you must have made arrangements with US Fish and Wildlife for an inspection what did they say? Where they shocked to see a box of dead snakes?

This story is so full of holes it looks like a piece of swiss cheese
 
For the record Joe, before you start hashing out things you dont know facts about, the snakes arrived in the US, remained in the US, and yes went to the Vet in the US. All facts of ticks and the shape of the two snakes are on paper and sent off to the sender. They were a gift for my brother who was posted with the Marines to Oregon and could not bring his animals with him. This was almost two years ago that this event happened. Neil replaced the animals at his cost, and they still to this day live with my brother in Oregon. Where does CITIES come into play when they were never in Canada?

This is an Email I received from Joe this morning in response to my previous post. It is beginning to sound like he knows the starter of this thread and has a personal reason for his spirited attack on her credibility.

I was resently on Kingsnake and saw a ad for a GTP for sale by "George" he gave me a heck of a price so I am reseaching his info and found that he is at the number listed as Scales and Tales. I recently had problems with another and it ain't going to happen this time, I to posted on Jville Reptiles Inc. for being a lowlife. Thats what I call anyone who does the things that these people do. This is why Fauna is so important to the consumers.

SAME PEOPLE????

OK I was going to stay out of this but over 3 years ok we western unioned a guy named "Mark Dell" for well over 1500.00. He said he was with "scales and Tales", After trying very hard to recover our money we gave up. No one could help, and would. We placed a large mix order with this guy of mostly common stuff from Albino Leopard geckos to Mata Matas, He said he shipped Delta Dash. After 24 hrs of not hearing from Delta we called and they said there was no tracking number that matched the one we recieved from him. After talking to this guy again he said it was shipped to pittsburg instead of Phila. I was about to hop on a plane until I figured I should call ahead to make sure. Sure enough it was BS. The next few months were hard, and he basically told us that we were far away from him and we could do nothing. He lived in NC or SC I don't remember now. The address we got from him came up unknown. We contacted the mail fraud division with USPS and they contacxted him. He came up with a lie stating that we needed permits for the animals we ordered and the USPS said since they did not know the laws they were stepping away from the issue. I would not be surprised if this is the same guy. I did not read the whole thread and maybe I am wrong but darn it's a little funny how the same "business" name would come up. I figure it this way why scales and TALES(Like a fairy tale?) not tails like on animals. STAY AWAY. If this is the same person or anyone has any reason to believe it is let me know the current address. I would love to take out 3 years of repressed anger on him. YES THAT IS A THREAT! If it's not you don't take this personally but if it is you and I find out it is you, I WILL BE PAYING A VISIT! I let this go to long and swallowed it whole but after seeing the name again it opened an anger in me that has been gone for a while.
Sorry if this ticksa anybody off but $$ was basically stolen from me, and now I want retrobution!

I have been doing business with Robert Gentil of Daytona beach Florida and I do not believe these people that say bad things of him, my home recently burned down and I lost my whole breeding project and ROBERT GENTIL donated to me everything to rebuild and gave me reptiles for free. These people are not telling the truth about him and should be ashamed of themselves.

These people are not telling the truth about Robert Gentil, I have contacted him to persue legal against them and make them accountable for slander. I have been doing business with scales n tails of florida and robert gentil is a honorable and noble, creditable person. Posting on a forum can be used in court and I sure hope he goes after these bad bad people. I use to have a pet shop and retail people can be vicious and malicious, dont forget that!

Robert Gentil will never stop!

Hello everyone! First of all I think that herperboy66 "Joe" Was Robert Gentil. He has been using the name Joe. That is the name that he used with me when I purchased my puppy. Also successmen2004 "Joe" I think that was him to. Reason being is he likes to make threats but does nothing about it because he does not have a case! Come on Robert, use this forum I dare you! I know this is a site for reptiles but I have to tell you my story so others can be aware. I purchased a chihuahua puppy from him on 11.03.04. He said his name was Joe so at the time of purchase I had no idea who Robert Gentil was. All I had was the name Joe and the website: www.mypuppies.net. I paid a lot of $ for a dog that has hydrocephalus (cerebral fluid on the brain) His future was not predicted to be good. He is doing ok right now. I have had him for 6 weeks. I hope that he continues to be ok. The law states that he needs to pay for my vet bills for the puppy upto the purchase price of the puppy for his genetic condition. Well, of course he has not done that. He has offered to send me a new puppy. Like I want a new puppy. Like I would send my Little Bit back to this guy! Funny! The names and e-mail address that I have gathered for him so far are as follows: Robert Gentil, John Park, Suzanna Park, Joe, George (obtained from forum, do not know personally myself), and Mark Dell (obtained from the forum, do not know personally myself). e-mail address are [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]. The address' I have are 1941 Linda Ave., Ormond Beach, FL 32114 (where I sent the money order to) and then the all famous 115 Myrtle Ln. Yes this guy does have the pet store open to the public to the best of my knowledge. It was for sale in 2002 (I spoke to the real estate manager for Robert) but Robert since decided to keep it. He does own that location and the pet store. His wife is Yong Suk Pak Gentil. I have spoke with her before. I have had him kicked off of puppyfind.com twice but he keeps coming back with a new name, new state and new number. He is a liar! Please e-mail me directly if you would like any further information. I have already reported this guy to the USDA, ripoff.com, BBB, and the attorney general. I hope that you are reading this Robert! Slander and deflamation of my Character

My name is Robert Gentil,

A customer of mine has made me aware of these slanderous remarks made on various forums etc. I am here to tell that these are untrue, I have been in the Pet trade for 2 decades and have put my heart and soul into all animals.

In life sometimes cowards feel that hurting someone in a situation like this is a way of vengeance and revenge and it seems to be very easy anyone with a computer and online access can do this. I have been in the same location since 1996, previous since 1988, I am easily found, I dont hide, I have no reason to hide. I spend alot of my time putting bad pet people in jail, I do not promote puppy mills at all, all my breeders are verifiable. There will be legal action taken to those slanderous cowards that feel hurting someones character. People that do the things that were alleged go to jail, have several criminal convictions etc. I remain a true and honest person that does not practice wrong doing to others. I love my job, but sometimes I see this and just get sick to my stomach and Im sorry for those that have to ever go through this. I stop puppy mill breeders and I can prove in public records and police reports and Prosecutions that I do my duty so animals dont get hurt. Everyone is invited to meet with me, come see my facility anytime.

I helped victimized people of Colleen L. Ross get justice. Miss Ross's Hearing is still pending in court. I will be happy to send the VHS of her arrest July 2005.

she purchased a white chihuahua from me, I can email you the State health certificate written and signed by a State Lic vet Dr. Lamborn prior to her receiving the puppy, she was told in writting of the 3 soft spots on the puppies head and had numerous pictures of the puppy and was able to view the puppy via my webcam 24/7 prior to her receiving the puppy. I raised that lil puppy by hand, she never had a seizure never any hypogycemia attacks etc, I had my vet certify the health of that puppy in writing, the puppies eyes were ok or my Vet would have never passed it to begin with. Ms. Banua works for my insurance company Safeco she was doing all of this internet while she was at work, she was written up for that, she would threatened me that she wanted all her money back and the vet bills paid, after I verified that the vet visit was voluntary and not due to illness I realized what she was up to, she could not afford the puppy in the first place, she had to get a loan from her grandmother. I begged her to send back the puppy for a full refund, she said that she was in love and was keeping her. She said to me that if I didn't pay her that she would slander me to the world, and she did. I have lost 10 good customers due to her slanderous posts, I am going after her civilly and you are invited to attend the hearing where the truth will prevail in the Volusia county court house annex in Daytona beach Florida.

And I never sold anything in my life to a 7 year old child or did anything to those people, cowards.

I just found out that this posts existed about me, so as a responsible person that feels the need to explain a post that was misleadingly written it doesnt matter if it was 10 years old. Im not upset about a loss of a sale, but the fact this is all untrue, a real person responds not ignores or hides, ok. If I knew this 7 months ago I would have posted 7 months ago. Im sure your a very nice young lady, I hope me responding to you helps you understand why the need for my recent post. If you would like to discuss this further please contact me.
