    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Okay, Robert...or is it Joe, (or George.)...seeing as you both keep throwing the term Slander around...and you are both wrong.....you can not civilly go after anyone on here for SLANDER and anyone in the law field would tell you that. So, Lie there...

You should have stayed hidden....you come on here and state that all these people are lying? And youa re such a good person. Then how do you explain the snakes with ticks when they were supposed to be captive? How do you explain the shipment of reptiles, to inlcude albino Leos, that never showed up?
And selling sick puppy mill puppies....this hits home as I got taken that same way...saw a cute Jack Russell and had to have him.....over $300 in vet bills later he had mass infection in his...(now this is kinda funny poor thing) little winker that had to be flushed twice a day...and Mange...on top of that as he grew into an adult the vet and other breeders have told me...this is not a Jack russell or anywhere near one...he is WHippet/Fox terrier mix.
And yes just like you, the puppy mill said well we'll repalce him....he is like our kid so we'd never give him up back to a place like that....just like she'll never give her puppy back to you for a replacement. It is only condeming the animal to a horrible life.

Why would it matter if this lady was doing research and contacting you from work? and gotten written up for it....so what ....it has nothing to do with the fact that you have a HISTORY of ripping people off and using fake names to scam more people.If you even got any of those awards it is probably only because the people were competition in your puppy mill so by helping to take them out you could sell more sick puppies.

Are you going to do anything about the Dead wild caught snakes you shipped as captive born? Are you going to do anything about the reptile shipm,ent that never came in? Or are you just going to say that everyone is making things up and , I like this one, "Slandering you with Slanderous remarks".....and provide no proof of anything. Are you going to continue to sell sick puppies under different names?....that is pretty bad when you can't even use your real name because you know people wouldnt buy from you then...

Or are you going to just post away trying to sound like you know the legal system and have actually contacted an attorney or filed in civil court....?
Your own uneducated use of terms tells me, and everyone else, you have no idea what you are talking about....just using empty threats so people stop telling their sides.
You should really go back into hiding.
The fauna members really do not like scammers and will rip you apart if you keep posting what a kind gentle honest person you are....

Robert, I am a nice young lady, well not exactly young but hey, I'll take that one. Maybe you should go back and read the rules for posting on this sight, you will find a section that may help you in your quest for those who have harmed you in writing, how ever, you may want to rethink your attempt at any law suits for slander. And an FYI Robert, the word is libel.
Seriously check it out Robert it makes for some fun reading. And don't forget to read the the "Communications Decency Act of 1996" it will explain in depth what you can and can not do.

These people are not telling the truth about Robert Gentil, I have contacted him to persue legal against them and make them accountable for slander. I have been doing business with scales n tails of florida and robert gentil is a honorable and noble, creditable person. Posting on a forum can be used in court and I sure hope he goes after these bad bad people. I use to have a pet shop and retail people can be vicious and malicious, dont forget that!

Puppy mill people really get under my skin, because of my experience with those type of scum....and people who try to sound like they know the legal system and don't....Hopefully he'll just go away. Would be nice if he took care of all the people he scammed....but considering his low life type....'aint gonna happen

she purchased a white chihuahua from me, I can email you the State health certificate written and signed by a State Lic vet Dr. Lamborn prior to her receiving the puppy, she was told in writting of the 3 soft spots on the puppies head and had numerous pictures of the puppy and was able to view the puppy via my webcam 24/7 prior to her receiving the puppy. I raised that lil puppy by hand, she never had a seizure never any hypogycemia attacks etc, I had my vet certify the health of that puppy in writing, the puppies eyes were ok or my Vet would have never passed it to begin with. Robert, I am curious as to who "she" is. Are speaking of Colleen or Reannon? I just want to make sure I am reading this right. Also if Reannon's statements are true:

Then why would you sell a sick dog for a lot of money. You cannot deny that it was sick because you did post:

I do not know why she would pay a high price for an obviously poor conditioned puppy(maybe to make sure it was no longer in your care), but you selling it at a high price really boils my blood. I have been ripped off in a similar manner with sick animals that were so riddled with parasites that they did not survive any treatment the vet prescribed. YOU ARE SICK!!!! Lets also ad the other accounts of your disgusting sales of ball pythons and not sending animals to buyers. If all this is true then you deserve the loss of customers.

Who is the 7 year old child you claim to have never done business with, I do not see that posted. Unless you just backed yourself into a corner!

It is always good to see someone concerned enough about their honor to come to its defense even at such a late date, and in spite of the odds of being able to achieve that which they seek. There have been a few ressurections here of late that have bordered on self-immolation, and let's hope things work out better for you!
We surely wouldn't want anyone slandered or libeled here, and appreciate your legal refresher. Fortunately, as pointed out, many of us here have considerable experience in business, the legal wranglings inherent to it, and even some libel and slander issues ... and lets not forget the ever important damages that put the meat on the bone of any issue. Do what you will, but my advice would be that maybe the legal argument is not your strong suit. In fact, it may be a huge liability to pursue it here. My experience is that the BOI doesn't care much for legal opinions that are a little over the top.
I looked at the dog issue, and have no real input there. There was point .. you presented counter-point, and without a full understanding of the guarantees and options available at the time, I just don't know.
But the original complaint by Beth in Post #1 was not addressed by you in this resurrection. That concerns me, and you posted here voluntarily. What say ye on that deal?

Its amazing, but you and Joe (posts 32-34 a while back) sure do share the same talking points, if not the same sentance structure. Are you unrelated?

Robert, if your good name is in fact that, then you can address the concerns of others from 3 years ago, at the beginning of this thread. You can tell us how you addressed it then, since you didn't come here to tell us. I am confused as to whether the original ball pythons were replaced, refunded, etc.(I see a mention of Neil replacing snakes, but am not sure what that was about). I know you want to restore your name here. Your first post didn't appear to make up for all the lost ground, IMO. Thanks.

How about the women that you sold my Little Bit to - you got her money and I got the puppy. Looks like you made quite the deal on that one. She is still left with nothing. I met another one named Mandy in Indiana. They just dont want to pursue anything...too bad. You dont even know what color the dog is or even what sex it is...yeah...and you care! Right. Little Bit it white with tan spots and tan ears and HE is a BOY. Safeco is my employer and I hate to burst your bubble but I was not written up. They felt bad for me they knew the situation the whole time. As if that had anything to do with anything anyway. I thank the good lord above that I am the one that got him though. I really am. I am showing him the best life that I know how. Never once have I left him alone. Never. He is MY baby. You begged me to send him back??? Hilarious! You wanted me to ship back a 5 ounce puppy to get a new one. These are live animals that we are talking about not a sweater or a car! A 5 OUNCE DOG WAS SHIPPED!!! AS IF THAT IS NOT CRUELTY IN ITS SELF!!! For the one that can not imagine how tiny this dog was pull out a rular measure 4 1/2 inches. That is how long my dog was. UNBELIEVABLE!

Noone cares about your awards Robert. How about when the pet store was on the news a few years ago...it sure was not a positive statement from what the reporter said to me. How about Diane Fush from he dept of agriculture. Goodness I did not even have to say your last name...she finished my sentence. She even stated that you were aware of the laws as if they had been tried before. What about the phone calls that I was getting on a daily basis about a repo situation..they were trying to track you down and were asking me if I knew where your wife was. How about puppyfind.com? How many times did you get kicked off and go under a new name...What is the current name...Chris or something...?

If I wanted your money Robert I would have sent back the puppy. If I wanted your money I would have taken you to court by now. My main concern is Little Bit and making sure that he is safe and is living the best life that he can while he is in my home!

You are a liar and I will not bow down to your lies! My job it to make sure that it does not happen again and to at least make people aware.
 
Soft Spot

One more thing...I was never advised that this puppy even had one soft spot. NEVER! Show me Robert...show me in writing where you stated this...If you were the great business man that you say you are you would have had me sign something...show it to me! As for his eyes...I have pictures...I would love to post them for everyone to see this puppy. It is sad. Really sad. The hearing...what hearing...? I have received no correspondence to go...I HOPE to get something in the mail. I would love to attend.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. You have I have to tell everyone something very funny. The department of agriculture faxed to me some documents that Robert sent to her. The document was dated 10.29.04 stating that he advised me the puppy had hydrocephalus and an open fontenelle. Isnt hilarious that I did not contact Robert Gentil in relation to this puppy until 11.02.05. I have phone records to prove this. No sense. He makes no sense. I did not even know the man on 10.29.04!

I am new to this part of the Fauna! Robert screwed me pretty good back in 2003. He had a beautiful female green tree python. him and i came to an agreement on a trade. I shipped him a very nice sony vio laptop and i never received the animal. i found all his pet store info and tried to resolve this issue. He finally just stopped answering my calls.
 
This is why we should not let people get away with this crap !! Step up,take a plane or a nice drive to Fl for a little vacation and confront him. A smack in the face is just a $100 fine.
Its kinda simple i think,but i guess maybe i am different. This world is full of rip offs because they know they will get away with it time and time again. Sometimes violence is the answer. Sorry,but seeing people getting ripped off by another reptile personm drives me crazy.And when knowbody does anything,its disturbing. I cant see letting someone get away with ripping me off for any of my boa's.

Hi Everyone. I am so happy to find this post. I was just mailing a birthday card to a friend of mine and was using an old Roladex file.....the very next card said Robbie Gentil/mychihuahuas.com. I had tried to reach Robert years ago, without success, using multiple phone numbers, addresses, email addresses and websites after a chihuahua puppy he shipped to me from Florida to Southern California became very ill. Tazzy was the cutest sweetest puppy to ever walk the face of the Earth. I was trying to contact Robert, not to recover any money, but to beg him NOT to breed Tazzy's parents again. She had all kinds of genetic defects that lead to my having to euthanize her at age 2 1/2 years.....a loss from which I have yet to recover. I was hoping he would spare others from the same loss. I began trying to reach Robert within two weeks of receiving Tazzy when she first came down with pneumonia which the veterinarian felt was secondary to a severely collapsed trachea. In the end, it turned out that she had multiple birth defects including hydrocephalus and almost no immune system; having been born with only a "sliver of a liver". I spent 10's of thousands of dollars on Tazzy and never received a return call from Robert. Again, I simply wanted him to assure me that he would NOT breed her parents again. What I found was that he was disconnecting his phone numbers, eliminating his websites and email addresses and making himself scarce. He had made himself out to me to be some GREAT breeder and had also claimed to be a consultant to some of the top producers of natural canine food products. He said he was all about breeding superior healthy puppies. I paid $1200 for Tazzy plus, as far as I can recall, another $300 to have her shipped via Delta airlines (where they accompanied her in a pressurized cabin to Orange County). It was the happiest day of my life when I picked up that little cage with that adorable little baby.....the saddest day of my life as I held her and she took her last breath. Robert; it would have helped so much had you simply called me and told me you would not inflict this pain on another animal or another animal lover....that was all I was seeking from you: your assurance. My disappointment is genuine. So, today, 4 years later, when I saw that old website, I decided to google your name once more and now I see that you are continuing to hurt both people and animals alike. Please stop, Robert. Find another way to earn an honest living.
