    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You got Robin on a technicality. I am not to all fired sure that is something to be proud of, I mean, what GOOD business tries to find a way out of the wrong they have done? What GOOD business sends the wrong product, and only sends one of the two items bought (yes I am giving the customer the benefit of the doubt, not only because I am a consumer myself but because in business it is good practice) And the only animal sent dies. And the best you can come up with, as you are arguing with a potential future customer, is that she did not notify you in time.
Do I have that all straight?
You never ever thought once to say..... Gee I thought I sent you two, but I will send you another just to be sure and after all I did send something different than what you purchased in the first place?.........That would have made for a happy customer. Never did that enter your mind? Wow, perhaps if you approach your customers in a different way, even after something bad happens, they will still have a good outlook or at least can regain trust again.
As for Tony, yes we all know he paid you and when. Now I would like to see where you gave the money back and when.
You are making improvement however, you at least addresses him by name, and that is something.
Make these people happy again. I do not think you are actually getting it, YOU ARE LOSING POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. I believe the number of loses are greater than you think. And if these people do go to the full extent, perhaps slowly but surely you will lose your privilages to advertise your animals.
Just a suggestion, Make it all right and do it with a smile on your face!!!!!

Earlier in this thread I wrote a posative post on Upstate Exotics business and quality of herps. After recent dealings with Sal and Allison I have completely changed my mind. Their complete disregard for customers and the herps they sell has come to light. I just hope my previous post didnt help to sway opinions toward the better(obviously not). good luck to all

I think everyone here has given them various suggestions on how to better serve their costomer's. They just don't GET IT! Or should I say "they don't want to." What else is there to say?? A lot of it is plain common sense. You would almost have to go out of your way to give any worse customer service. And all of these problems they are having are on transactions that average about $40- $50 a piece. Not that the amount of money a customer spends with them should dictate the quality of their customer service, but a $40 sale???? Come on! Is it honestly worth all of the heartache and negative publicity that they are receiving over $40 sales?? I'm sure that the rat snake that was sent to Robin cost them about $15- $17. I would really hate to see the way they react if they were dealing with animals that cost $500 to $1500.

Buy reading all the threads on this company over the last six to eight months, and then reading the negative posts about their contracting business that Tony posted.....Regardless if you want to give them the benefit of doubt or not........I think everyone can see what type of people they are.

Don't waste your time on Upstate, they are not worth it!

They are burning their own bridges quickly and won't stay in biz with their way of doing biz.
 
how is it that they dont get their posting priveledges revoked on kingsnake ???..geez..three complaints not taken care of and its by by charlie.
there must be at least three complaints gathered by now..im imagining you all are writing kingsnake daily to remind them to have these guys kicked off right? i know thats probably so redundant to ask but how does it with no action taken ???...

btw..upstate..dont think there are not lukers reading this that wont hesitate to direct themselved elsewhere.....

This gets better and better...

Before I get to anything else I want to address Corey Kingsbury of Kingsbury Exotics post.

THE ONLY REASON Corey has TRIED to put anything bad is becuase he didn't want us to post first about him. Because he ripped us off and now that we are seeking legal action, he's a little pissed.

Here's how the story goes since Corey in his above post did not want to say anything:

Corey drove over 2 hours with his wife and kids to come here. He left his kids sleeping outside in his van in the rain for close to 2 hours while he and his wife Thelma were here dealing with us.

Corey came and hand picked $1170 in animals for his "business". We let him take the animals on consignment with the understanding that he would pay us as he sold things and them some every week. He has since sold some of the animals to pet stores, kept some for himself, and traded some to friends. It has been well over a month, and after numerous unaswered phone calls and excuses of why he couldn't return them nor our emails we find out that Corey told another business he was going to screw us over. We recevied a phone call from Brendon of Twinstate Reptiles (the company Corey told he got all this stuff and didn't intend to pay us) and learn to find out Corey owes this company money and animals also.

We finally hear from Corey after calling him and explaineing that we are willing to drive to Vermont to come pick up the animals and get the money for animals he sold. He told us he would ship. After a week and a half nothing shows up. We again repeatedly called and sent tons of emails that once again went unanswered. We left a message for Corey explaining we would be in Vermont and wanted to come pick up the animals, but then he has his wife Thelma send us an email with a tracking number. We get the box finally supposedly containg the animals he had left that he didn't sell or trade, and some other animals (6' green iguana, 6' green tree boa, eastern milksnake and one redtail) to offset the cash he owed.

Well once the box is opened, not only did he NOT send those animals to make up the difference, BUT he didn't include all the animals he said he didn't sell. He right now has an outstanding balance with us of $451 (which is including the 14 baby turtles we purchased from him). Plus, we're not even incluiding the shipping we paid to get our own animals back. He must have received the letter from our attorney, which is why he posted negatively about us. I'm sure there be some great story he'll come up with here to explain all of this, as he's had a bad rap on the BOI as well. We did the right thing by Corey to help him out with his inventory, and got ripped off, and here he is trying to make himself look good, so when this all comes out in the open, he's not such a bad guy. Yeah right.

I have notifited our wholesalers, breeders, friends and everyone else to watch out for Corey, unless he pays cash up front. And I'm sure Brandon will be happy to some on and explain his situation with Corey.

That is the only thing you have to do here. Show us where, when, and how you refunded Tony's money.

Does Corey have Tony's money?

Are you waiting for what Corey owes you (sorry I find this EXTREMELY ironic) before giving Tony a refund?

So now you're the victim? Does Tony have $180 in his account as a credit from your little credit card machine?

More than likely the people on this board are going ot have a "good for ya" attitude.

Now maybe you can relate to what Tony has been dealing with. You feel cheated, abused, taken advantage of. Well......GET OFF IT. This guy is doing to you EXACTLY what you're doing to Tony. And you want us to have sympathy for you? You want us to discount everything that Tony had said? You owe somebody money. This thread was started to try to collect on that debt. Give Tony back what is rightfully his. Then maybe we can hear your little story about how you were "cheated."

Ok, I do agree with the others,
What goes around comes around.
I fully believe you should make things right yourself with people you owe.
BUT,, to be fair, and this is the BOI and is for letting others know about scammers, perhaps you should start a thread on Corey, put up your story and show what proof you have.

So what's the hold up on supplying proof of Tony's refund?

By the way Upstate, who is your breeder that supplies you with CB Colombian Tegus? There aren't many Colombian Tegu breeders out there. I'm suprised that a tegu breeder would do all that work to turn around and sell the babies to you at a price that allows you to sell CB tegus for $35.
Or by CB, do you mean farmed imports?
....and if you consider farmed imports to be the same as captive born, does that also apply to your CB ball pythons?

We never received Tony's fax he is showing there. No where does that show it was sent and received, your fax machine should give you a print out of the successfull transmission.

But that's besides the point.

I am waiting on the information for Tony's refund b/c our partner was the one who ran all of our credit cards back earlier in the year. He has the information from his bank and that's why I am waiting on the fax. The refund was also put through that same machine.

Tony have you called your credit card company? I know you received your money. They won't give me any information on your account, so give them a call.

The BBB we haven't replied to, you are correct on that. You sure are making us do alot of paperwork, sorry for not doing it all in a timely manner.

This is my referral to the NY State Consumer Protection Board.

Never got anything from them. Maybe they checked it out and saw you got your money so they didn't bother us with it.
