    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Matt - of course they target them...but in fact if they wanted they could go to ANY breeder.

I do listen to what I write....I would have been willing to give it the time needed. And I will check out those other companies. However....if you want ppl on your side.....don't be rude to them and talk down to them. I may not be a breeder....I may not have a store....but I do buy BP's often...I spend the money on the morphs....and though I may not know everything.....I had willingness to help.

After this experience....I will not be posting on here anymore other than to check the BOI and research whom I may buy a snake from in the future. Thank you so much for such warm welcome into this industry.

You should not take the stand that you do not want to utilize Fauna because of misconceptions in one particular thread. I was the same way, read the BOI but never posted. I saw how people could rip and shred people and I didnt want to have any part of it.

Look at it this way...
From your first post, you took a stand in which you believe you are 100% right in. Not that anyone is right or wrong in this situation. But, a lot of your focus was on my POV, personally. People who have the same ideals as I, might misconstrue your posts as attacking what they personally believe in.

And, this particular thread has torn us right down the middle as to what everyone feels, right or wrong. The hardest part about it is, we really all want the same thing. We just have different understandings and beliefs as to how it needs to get done.

You are taking the hardest emotional thread and basing a decision purely on that. There are MANY great people here that use Fauna regularly, Matt and Kathy and Ken just to name a few. Even ones I dont see eye to eye with are great as well.

I would hate to see someone leave Fauna just because of this thread. Fauna has a lot to offer everyone from the experts to the beginer and I think that, in the long run, you will fit right in. Dont make a hasty decision just because not everyone will be on the same page as you.

Well said! The other Fauna forums are usually not this controversial and can be very educational. As you post on these forums you will make some good friends and you will learn who the trolls are. Welcome to Fauna!:thumbsup:

Michelle, Tim Cole is also very well known in the reptile industry. He is someone that we can all learn a lot from. I know if I needed advice in his area of expertice, he would also be someone that would be willing to lend a learning hand.
 
Dean is Right Michelle. This has been a VERY emotional post for so many reasons. The sad part is that you came in the middle of it. We all have had some nasty experienses from time to time. I have had my share but I decided to jump in with both feet and find my place. You will as well, I beleive. We all truly want the same thing. IF we didn't we wouldn't be so passionate about it. Alot of us are tired because we feel we are like a dog in a fight with so many around us nipping at us about our reptiles. I am probably worse about my reptiles because they have no voice, I have to be their voice. I have read of the wrongs for both peta, hsus, and supposedly US Global. I do not beleive all that I hear, see or read. I also understand business and the bottom line too. Some of us have been victims of people that don't understand the needs of various reptiles and would quickly assume we are doing something wrong because of their lack of knowledge and they would quickly throw us under the bus for their misunderstandings of reptiles.
Needless to say, we would love to have you stay and help our fight, but I would be the first to warn you that it is brutal at times. We all have varying degrees of experiences both good and bad. One thing I learned here is that we can all have different views but one do have one goal and that is the passion of our hobby/industry. I would go to bat with most all that you see post here on a regular basis. Stick around and You will find that too....
 
i dont know why the goverment hates reptiles? yes some people have been killed by there pets and released ones. but i bet if you look at the numbers i bet more people are killed a year by dogs horses or even cows hell i bet more people are killed by marys little lamb.
 
Lets not view USGE through the eyes of such stand up unbiased pillars of the community as the ASI (Animals and Society institute) and the ASPCA who are in fact the co sponsors of this so called peer reviewed journal Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science (JAAWS)

This article is a freaking joke. It is disgusting and full of erroneous garbage. Really the source cited and the main source of info is a "journal" that is published by two pet hating organizations ASI and the ASPCA. I mean seriously ASI is blood brothers with HSUS. The owner of USGE was never even charged with animal cruelty and he recently pled out on a charge for falsifying docs on hedgehogs. thats right no animal cruelty charges for the "monster" described in these articles published by animal rights groups .One of which was just sued for violations under the RICO act! lets just use some common sense. Peta must have sedated and spent hours to stage that shot of all the prairie dogs stuffed in the trough. Lets make sure we recognize the fact that ALL the pics are from PETA!!! the shining star of ethics and morality. a true friend to the animal kingdom and always there to quickly condemn animals to death for no reason other than they are better off dead than kept as a pet. to everyone on Fauna dont be fooled PETA, ASPCA and ASI are not your friends they are your enemy. and this article is a joke. And Shaws place was never like that. dont be fooled by the smoke and mirrors and if he really did those things he would have been charged.
