    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well as far as the Humane issue,I can see where PETA would slip undercover for something like that,but the other issue about Lacey Act violations smells of a rat dropping more than turds,like maybe dropping a dime .Pretty sorry situation all the way around .
 
Kim did turn in Global to the USDA for the Hedgehogs. It was so sad, she was crying as she unpacked them. I don't know what came of the complaint though.
 
New people to reptiles and people who just doesnt know need to be careful and dont order from Reptilesncritters.com because they get all of their reptiles from jasen shaw. The guy that runs the website is robert crespo. so newcomers and others dont order from them

We've bought animals from Jason over the last year and still have them.

I am surprised and of course disappointed in all that transpired at Global.

I do not think anyone will be geting anything from Jason.. That place is locked up tighter then a drum.. plus he has no reptile.. They finished up loading everything just before sunrise this morning...

I FEEL SORRY FOR THE SHIPMENT THAT HAS BEEN SITTING AT DFW FOR THE LAST DAY OR 2.

Just wanted to see if anyone has had similar experiences that havent been good. He sells my S. Hispidus chuckwallas , and owes me $1280 by christmas which obviously Im not going to recieve..................Thanks

Why are you miffed about Rich's post? He answered the thread starters question. So did others with their experiences. He didn't address you. Neither did anyone else but the OP.

So what? He gave the person his experience with the company as everyone else here does. Nobody else responded to your post either so I guess by the same reasoning you are using to target Rich the whole member base here is also guilty.

It was also this site and its members that stepped up and tried to help those that got burned by TSE.

It was also this site last Christmas that stepped up when a former member of this site scammed people on ebay. It had nothing to do with this industry or this site but the members here using that "social networking" stepped it up and gave over $2,000 to strangers.

I can't count anymore the amount of times that the " Social Networking" that you are ranting about has recovered animals and funds for other members here, as well as others that frequent different sites. How many times do you think that members here have used that social networking to knock on the door of some scumbag that stole from them? I know of many instances in the last few years were members from different states benefited from that great resource here.

You want to take a slap at this site for the one or two bad guys that were members here that fooled some of us for a time, fine. You also need to acknowledge the fact of all the others here. Anyone can register and become a member of any site. Some people suck but I would like to believe most of us don't. Most here are good people and use that networking like you do in any business.
I'm going to a Chamber of Commerce event tonight to network with my community and businesses in my local area. Does that mean I can vouch for every single individual there? No. Even those that I can vouch for I can only by my experiences with them. It's not my fault if one of them turns out to be a scumbag down the road if I have no knowledge that they are now.

The prarie dogs were being sold for profit conservation was not part of the picture.The relocation of them and new towns were for profit and that is all.I was a small part of that market but the big players were getting rich and many died for them.Conservation was not part of the picture profit was period.They are legal now again.aaaaaaaaaaaaaIt has started again for profit!!!!!
 
I wonder what will be next? banning any and all pets of any kind? my wife will be made because all of our fish are imports, and i guess i will be breaking the law because i have a BRB... our government is letting all this happen...and i do agree this looks more like a publicity stunt, just to add fuel to the python ban! i like how SPCA was behind it, although i do support the SPCA, i don't support them on this unless i see pictures plastered in front of my face or myself see the outlandish conditions. I dont know who stated about counting pinkie mice and rats into that count, but i can almost promise you they did.... i have never heard of the company, however im not the type to jump on the band wagon... id rather hold onto the rope and get drug if i have to ....
 
First off, I would like to state that I have no connection with the mentioned company- I have never done business with them nor have I ever been in contact with them. I am no defending or attacking anyone, I purely look at facts. This dramatic "nationwide media story" is quite alarmingly so I took a few moments to find documents and details.

Below is a USDA Inspection report from June 29, 2009 (I was unable to find any document more recent)

According to various reports, the final tally of animals removed ranges from approximately 26,000-26,882 animals, with the deceased number being 603.

Doing some simple math, that means the mortality rate ranges from 0.023 % to 0.022 %, which is far less than even 1% of the total animals.

Believe facts, not the media.

This whole thing is blown way out of whak,when dealing with large amounts of wholesale imports ,large losses are a normal thing.It does amaze me how little support Jason has gotten in this thread.It is not in any way anything like what is being showcased by media.This is a outright showing of the way people fall easy prey to media.Wake up this could be you.If you have dead animals in the freezer with no vet visits and documentation you are as well a target.This is a agenda being played out one day at a time.You better believe that there is a check list that this was just another scratch on the paper.If you keep snakes you are a target.I have a lot of information on this but it is not mine to give.STAND TOGATHER NOT APART.
