Post the Emails you have. The length of the string is not a problem. It does sound like you were trying to circumvent the regs buy having the animal shipped to Ohio when you were not going to be there. It would have made a lot more sense to simply wait till you returned and then purchase the animal.

That said, this thread was not started regarding that issue. It was started to illustrate the lousy customer service of a company we already mo has serious issues. The emails will either prove or disprove that statement.

I don't deny that I was not the easiest customer in the world to deal with as there were some changes, however I was the CUSTOMER. All of this could have been resolved in about 3 emails had someone from NCE returned 1 of my 3 voicemails.

As far as rescending on the refund, I didn't do that. You asked for the gator to be shipped to Ohio. There were plans to do that. Your order had already been changed to suit you several times. The next thing I knew you changed your mind again and wanted a refund.

I felt it necessary because you cannot just take a person's money, you also can't offer and rescind refunds whenever you want.

You have once again promised a refund but I am yet to see it.

When I read about NatureCoast Exotics on Fauna Classifieds I read multiple bad reviews, however my experience was going very well with you guys until this drastic turn of events.(That and you never returned phone calls.) It's unfortunate you are "banning" me from your site as I am just getting back into the trade after a hiatus, but I would like to get this refund and move on.

As far as calling the state officials, you don't have to. I called them today and verified that I did nothing illegal. I just recently moved here from Ohio and did not know it was illegal in Georgia because it was legal in Ohio. Once I found out it was illegal I did not pursue the transaction, therefore according to the officials I broke no law. However, it would be my assumption that when you were willing to ship the alligator to Ohio that you had to of suspected it would then be transported to Georgia. I stopped the transaction, not you. So if we want to get into legalities and calling authorities . . . I think you have a lot more to lose than I do.

In all honesty, after reading the email chain, I have two things to say

1.) Based on several comments in the Emails i believe you were telling the truth when you said you were having the animal shipped to Ohio as it's permanent destination. You made that pretty clear.

2.) Their website does state no cash refunds. It looks like she was bending her own rules since she could not ship the animal to Georgia. While most reputable dealers (myself included) would have refunded anyway as a goodwill gesture, she was under no obligation to do so once a shipping scenario was agreed on. I agree that the threat to call Fish and Game was way out of line. I am not condoning rudeness but, in the scheme of things, this situation actually came out better for you than it could have.

On this I don't agree. One of his first offers was to pick up the animal in Florida. It is very doubtful that he would pick up the animal in Florida and transport it to his parents home in Ohio. I believe he was just saying what needed to be said in order avoid a written verification that he was breaking the law.

This was already answered: he admitted it was seven years, not ten, and corrected the misconception that it was when he GRADUATED. He said he got rid of the collection when leaving for college at age 17, a not uncommon age for incoming freshmen.
