In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Great job Doug for keeping such good pics!! I was curious why he was selling racks? Glad we found out now. I really hope he makes it right with those if you that bought "hets"!!

It makes me suspicious when they say I am so successful and this is just a hobby for me the fact that most if us do this as a hobby and who is so full of themselves to say that. Generally successful people don't have to say it.

I never wish sickness on any family and I hope for a speedy recovery if indeed he is sick/unhealthy.

There's no doubt that those pics are of the same snake (referring to the same ones referenced by Diana Heideman). Can't understand why anyone would sell normals as hets at any time, but especially when he had a chance to make a nice profit, while building a good reputation. Guess that thought mis-fired! :shootfoot

Wow, why would his Dad even mention Victor to his son either? What sense does that make?? In hospitals Victor wouldn't stand out at all especially enough for it to be brought up?

HIPPA - would stop you from mentioning it to each other and at the very least you would NEVER mention names!!

I've got $10 on "Oh, I was so frazzled with everything that's going on, I mislabled them/shipped you the wrong snake by mistake/someone else picked the wrong animal out of the bin." Who else wants in on the "guess the excuse" pool?

Genuinely, no disrespect if his son is sick. I hope the little boy gets better, I really do.

BUT, the "oh, I just sent the wrong animal, the one I REALLY meant to give you that really IS a het!" seems to be the favorite excuse of incorrect non-het situations like this.

I am just saying that his telling the truth about his son nothing else.

Honestly? There's no way you can actually prove it. If you were able to prove it (admission records or discharge papers) you'd be in extreme violation of HIPPA and subject to massive lawsuits. Without actual documents, "my dad talked to a guy with the same name that also sells snakes"? That's hearsay, and impossible to prove.

Yep, same snake. Buyer certainly better beware! Victor certainly better start saving those pennies for refunds!

Shameful.

I have to give much thanks to Doug. He PM'd me this morning asking if I would send him pics. He didn't want to start a whirlwind without proof. He told me that Victor got a bunch of his NORMALS back in January of this year and was a little suspicious of Victors initial ads. I was the unlucky one to have bought one of his normals that went through a genetic metamorphosis while in the hands of Victor. Thanks, Doug for your help.

Diana, fortunately Victor cannot use that excuse with me. I picked the snake up from his house. He personally labeled and sold me the snake to me himself.

Doug, just want to echo - awesome job keeping up with your snakes. That is amazing.

Also - When you sold your normals to Victor, did you sell them a possibly gravid? Just wondering since the one Kevin now has is about to lay.

Oof. Ouch! Getting harder and harder for him to talk his way out of this one.

Casey, I just spoke with Doug. He is not home right now. He will check your pics when he gets home later. He told me that he did not bred any of the snakes Victor got from him. I will let him elaborate further when he gets home. I wish you luck on your 'hets'.

Thanks Kevin.

I'm certainly not getting my hopes up. Even if Doug didn't sell him my girls, I think the odds of them being het albinos are about the same as finding het albinos in the wild.

Well, guess I can be added to list of those who bought a "het albino" from Victor. On February 25th, I drove nearly 2 hours to Victor's home to pick up a male spider het albino. When I arrived, he was looking through a file of paperwork and said that he must have misplaced the genetic paper on the spider, but would send it to me by mail as soon as he came across it. I was hesitant at first, but I thought to myself why a 30 something year old man with a wife, child, house and his own company would need to lie about something as such. I know that comes off as totally naïve, but it is what it is. Anyway, a few days later Victor contacted me saying he couldn't find the paperwork and was having trouble contacting the breeder he bought it from because of stuff on Fauna- I'm assuming he was referring to the thread pertaining to him selling off Deb's collection. He was very kind, and offered a full refund and went as far as offering to drive to me to pick the snake up. Again I thought to myself why he would lie in the first place and why he would be so kind and seemingly feel bad about the situation. I know, naïve again. I ended up keeping the snake, and now feel that I may need to see if his offer for a refund still stands. I'm very uncomfortable now after reading this thread. Anyway, I've posted a pic of the spider...maybe I'll be lucky enough for the previous owner to recognize it should they come across this thread.
