Your computer crashed so you have no proof. All you have is the strength of your own words. But you are acting so irrationally that who is going to give your words the strength you want of them?

Your bad guy may indeed be bad, but was he bad in THIS transaction? Tell the story in words we can believe, and muster what proof you can. Do you have emails any post-crash? What did the other party say when you informed him of this thread?

simply stating these guys owe you money means nothing without proof (emails, texts, bank statements, etc). and notification to them about your post is pretty crucial so that both sides are told with proof.
i can say john smith owes me money, but with no proof how would anybody know he really does?

Retic guy, I picked your post because it provides all the vitals for my response. Nothing personal, but you were nicely brief.

Obviously the OP is quite hot about being ripped off, and it would have been good if he had mentioned early that he had lost most "proof", so as to head off inquiries or criticisms about posting it. However, with regard to such as retic's post, there is no added proof needed to demonstrate that Lieber - Vigo are bad guys ! They have also never responded to other "Bad Guy" threads, have they ? I also believe that prior bad-guy threads did not identify them as "[email protected]", while a recent good guy thread about them did, although a few of us quickly added our 2 cents about Lieber - Vigo being "good". In any case, getting all their known identities in the open is an accepted goal of those with an interest , is it not ?

I'm not just an observer, but am a victim of that duo as well. Avoid all things with these two.

I am sorry you were victimized and it is good that you have the courage to step up and let others know,although you too might want to provide details unless you have done so on another thread. And it may be great advice to stay away. But because the party the OP is complaining about have been bad guys in the past, does not make them automatically guilty here, with nothing but the OPs sayso.

All true Lucille. But the BOI rules and advice are as I quoted. And "No", as per BOI rules, I do not care to post all of my experience and details. I know Steve and Karin to both be liars. And thieves. I do like seeing the public reminded from time to time that these two are bad people.

You are right, they are not "automatically" guilty in this case ... but they are still atrociously bad people, and to a few of us, this case is moot for that reason. I know people that they have committed horrendous theft against. The largest of the thefts only posted a few times about it, and I guess felt that was enough. Speaking only for myself, I was madder at that crime than the theft perpetrated against my partner and I, as it was particularly heinous and for a lot of money.

My partner dinged these two in a thread yesterday or so, and got dinged for using a "bad word", although management was understanding . But gosh knows I understand the anger of the OP when it comes to Vigo and Lieber.

I think a few of us were quite frustrated to see a banner run here for their veiled chameleon business as well not at all long ago. Perhaps that is how the process works, but it was aggravating to see for so long as it was here. I do not know if it was removed by management, or just expired.

Here's the thing...you haven't shown us any walking or quacking. You're just standing up shouting, 'It's a duck, it's a duck!!" and expect everyone to just merrily take your word for it.

Fortunately for you, said dudes already have a bad rep, and if nothing else, your words are backed up by that. The lack of proof isn't what has ultimately doomed you here...it's your own irrational behavior. Honestly, it's almost like you're speaking an entirely different language and not understanding anything anyone else is saying. (And that statement has nothing to do with spelling or grammar....but everything to do with rational communication.)

Not one single person has said or done ANY thing that remotely sides with the "bad guys." Just because folks aren't falling over themselves to fawn over your warning doesn't mean they're picking sides or supporting a scammer.

And then quietly answer what questions you can, if someone asks for clarification on the transaction details. Asking questions is not an attack. It's not a show of support for the other side. It's just....a question.

From what i have read and all of the other post, i gather that the OP got ripped off.. and that is no good, but i have one question for the OP.. If you say your computer crashed that is understandable, your email probably got deleted if it was saved on your computer... but most email is on the internet, like i have to go to gmail.com to check my mail... also, if you paid via paypal, that is also online at paypal.com and everything can be copied and pasted here.. your bank statement is on your banks website, so you can also go to "yourbank.com" and copy/paste here.... so it would be quite easy to post your proof and im not sure why you haven't taken the time to post any of these things.... just my .02 as i am usually just a viewer/reader and i enjoy this website very much...

I have actually done a purchase from the veiled chameleon before....... the communication was HORRIBLE but the price was right. I was blown off couple times. I had purchased a female pastel ball python from them back in july. She was $150 shipped and worth every penny (she is gorgeous) however I stayed home from work not 1 day but 2 waiting for my new girl because I was she was being shipped out on a monday (so she would have been here tuesday) and I was required to sign (so I was told) and the package would arrive before 10 am. 10 am rolls around and still no snake!!!! I sat all day till 2pm waiting calling them continuously, emailing everything I could think of to get in touch because I was worried for the animals well being. Finally at 7pm my time (they are in florida so who knows what time it was there LOL) steve called me back and said there guy left her at UPS and she was never shipped out because she was not processed properly...... Ok so she was fine and I got her the next day, but as far as there communication goes...... well there really isnt any lol but I have never been ripped off for money by them however thank you for all these posts fauna users you have officially stopped me from using them I hope all goes well
