    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Vincent Russello, attempting a scam

You, and other dishonest folks like you, are the reason that so many people have become disenchanted with this hobby/passion/industry. I don't think that you will get off so easily next time. The herp community will be watching you like a hawk

Very well said, and personally after his first episode here at fauna, I don't think he should get off period. INTENTIONAL is what some of us "forgiving" folks are forgetting. PREMEDITATED would be another good one. Nathan hit the nail on the head. People seriously ARE getting disenchanted - whether it be from buying sick or dying herps by (insert name here) or just plain getting scammed, burnt, or taken. That's what pi$$es me off, and I honestly can't believe so many of "them" are left standing. What can we do?? Nothing really I guess, just keep Fauna going strong, and doing are best to let the public know what's up.

I stated earlier that I felt suing Vince for monies that could be made in the future was wrong, and I still believe that. Noone really believed that Vince had the gecko, and since then he has not taken a pic nor done anything to show this gecko as something special. Now he comes in and says some people THINK he was trying to scam? He will really never learn. I also stated that while going after him financially was not right, the only way Vince will learn is to go through the legal process. Does anyone honestly think Vince has changed even one bit? Does anyone believe that if Vince is not charged with a crime, that a scam is not happening now or soon will be? Vince is a scammer and a liar and should be dealt with by the law.

You said it, Troy! Often, people have to wade through monumental piles of scat to get any pertinent info. about a breeder, but it is here. So many scammers have been exposed on the BOI.

3. A good gradient heat source
4. Suitable substrate, food and water dishes, hide box and any other needed cage accessories.
5. One sub-adult healthy Leopard Gecko. Nothing fancy, just healthy .

Then make arrangments for a years worth of free crickets and worms for the animal.
Contact the Special Education Department at Cape Elementary School and see if one of the teachers is interested in a classroom pet. If not, find a Lee County Elementary School teacher who is.
Take the time to show the teacher how to correctly care for the animal, and spend some time answering questions for the kids.
Let us all know the name of the teacher as well as the school so we can check up on it if we want to.

teachers name and email can be found in previous posts. and as for the year supply of food, i am just going to give the teacher a cash donation that should pay for the food for a year give or take. the leopard gecko is a very nice sub-adult i choose this one becuse it is very tame and loves to be picked up. here is the set up with the gecko that will be donated to a fourth grade class that will be deliverd tommorow morning. I wont be speaking with the class becuse I am going directly to work right after I drop off the lizard, However I did provide the teacher with books and Online Links that the whole class can go over together and have fun reasearching on there new leo im not much of a public speaker any way. I am glad this went as well as it is. and I am also happy to say that I am on good terms with everyone directly involved with the auction that took place critter farms , thank you for the oportunity to relove things in a friendly manner by suggesting that i make donation it was a great idea and i loved doing it. I wish everyone luck in whatever they do. and i hold no ill will toward anyone here, If this thread continous on that is fine but i think i will no longer take part . this will be the first of many leopard geckos that will be donatied , most will take place after summer. take care everyone.

That's good because I'd have trouble sleeping at night if I had attempted a scam and was called out on it. If I had misrepresented an animal and got called out on it. If I had spiked my own auction and had been called out on it. If I had lied repeatedly and had been called out on it. And to top it off not accept full responsibility for my actions and yes once again be called out on it.


After all of those things that you did, and to hold no ill will towards the people who called you out! WOW you're one hell of a guy Vince!

I thought that this RED one of a kind leo was going to be the one ? or is that Leo no longer Red one of a kind ?
 
I've read all this, and stayed out of it, but Vince, why don't you give the 4th graders that magnificent 'red' gecko of yours? I think they would love that.

And yes, Vince himself said he was going to donate the red gecko, but alas, it must have had a vicious temper or something, so he chose a different one that was good for kids.

What sort of heat source are you donating... perhaps I missed that?

So after 100 and some odd pages of this crazyness is the redgecko still red or ? did the bulb go out ?you had agreed to donate that $1000+ leo that critterfarms won did you not ? so why now are you donating this normal run of mill critter?Is the red one a finger eating fire spittinmg leo now ? looks like you are giving them a $15 leo , and $5 tank a old bird house you had laying around and probably going to stiff them on the yrs food supply of crix & worms i would for one like to see w photo copy of the money order / check that you give the teacher to cover a yrs food . no offense but your word no longer exsists as being good .

There is no fixing this now. He is a liar and has not followed throiugh as he said he would. Evne if he went and gave the gecko that he said he would, it would only be because he got cought. AGAIN!!! He lied, and lied again. And now he thinks all is good. Well, by his own actions, he is STILL a liar!

What a waste.
 
That's not aspen bedding in the tank is it? If you do donate that set up to a school, please take the aspen out of there and use paper towel or at the ver least, playsadn. Aspen is not a good substrate for leopard geckos.
 
Well perhaps we are doing Vince a disservice. Perhaps that lovely gecko in the Ten-Gallon aquarium IS the one which was up for sale. Not quite as red as say the top of that $2.99 mouse house he has in there with the gecko.

It sounds more like Vince is dumping something other than the "RED LEO" on the school. What else would we expect from him to do? Follow through with what he said he was going to do? Yeah right. That would have to mean he was a man of his word and someone who would rather act like a punk couldn't fill those shoes.
