    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Vincent Russello, attempting a scam

Here we go again with Vince's Crap. He swears the animal is no longer for sale, commits fraud by placing bids under someone else's account or a fake account and then when a price is thrown out there he tries to jump on it like he would really get that price for it. I have personally placed a $50 bid on the animal so that he can not just pull the auction again. I am serious I will pay the $50 if I am the winning bidder and if I am outbid by those other names again I am sure reptibid will have fun in their fraud department again. Thanks Vince for digging your hole so deep that you won't be able to climb out of it now even with help from others.

Yes, you DID commit a crime. It's up to Jerry wether he want's to pursue charges or not. You comitted a Felony Vince, pure and simple. Violating Reptibid's TOS is the least of your worries.

By putting it back up for auction so Jerry can bid on it again is a slap to his face. The right thing to do would be to sell him the gecko for the price of his last bid, before you committed the fraud against him. That would go along away in helping to make things right.
 
i cant belive this is going to happen , i didnt meen for it to go like this, i am going crazy right now, did i really do something this wrong? what can i do to make it better i will do anything it takes, i feel so bad right now i am going to throw up
 
i didnt do it to slap him in the face. i cant belive this is going on over this little thing, i took down the bad pic as soon as it was questiond as being a fake, it wasnt, but i took it down right away. the other stuff in between that and this has just been out of hand. i am very sick right now over this, all i can think about is my dad and little sister i will never bother you guys again. i will never post here again i am so sorry this has all happend, my little fun has turned into something i am upset over i do have chills right now please lets just work this out.

This is exactly the type of thing I was talking about some pages ago. Accepting personal responsibility for one's own actions and/or words. I hate it that it took Dennis to come on here and tell it like it is, but I'm glad he did.

BTW, Dennis, the herp industry could certainly benefit from your input more often in matters similar to this. You not only laid it on the line for Vince, but also for Jerry and pretty well spelled out a possible course of action should he not be satisfied at any point. Thank you.

Vince, those of us who grew up in the "old school" tend to say it's time to face the music. In other words, step up and take it like a man, regardless of the consequences because it was only your own actions and/or reactions that brought things to this point.

I'm actually sorry that it came to this for any and all involved. Seems like a real waste of possible talent...if only you'd wised up earlier. Hope it all works out for you without prison time. Perhaps you'll figure it all out one of these days.

I can answer that. The TOS violation causing the auction to be closed was shill bidding. That violates Federal and State Laws covering auction fraud. A few things can happen.

1. Federal and/or state charges can filed and you could be arrested and incarcerated. The FBI has been very strict going after fradulent auctioneers.

2. You can be sued civily by the de-frauded bidder for potentional lost revenue due to him not being able to obtain the gecko. Again, I remind you to think Bob Clark and his stolen albino ball pythons.

3. Nothing can happen and this all blows over. It's in Jerry's court right now for him to decide what he wants to do about it.

Seriously hear me out. I've made some jokes about this situation but it's really a way of blowing off steam about a bad deal.

Here are some recommendations that will help you bow out of this situation.

1. Sincerely admit that you screwed up by posting a picture that did not accurately represent the specimen that was offered for sale.

2. Sell the gecko top the high bidder that was listed prior to your removal of the auction.

3. Admit that you were placing bids under a false alias to raise the price of your auction.

This will be a good start. But either way it's time to come clean.

Come on guys...the little weasel pulled the original auction so he could re-list it with a ridiculous reserve. Come on Vince, let us know what the reserve is. My guess is high enough that no one will ever get to it.

You have effectively joined the likes of Gilbert Thompson, Adam Block and Ken Yates as persona non grata in this industry. My advice is to start collecting beanie babies because no one of any caliber in this hobby will ever take you seriously again.

Stick a fork in yourself Vince...you're done!
 
Ive got good news for you Vince.

Here is a link that will solve ALL of your problems. First of all, you need a new camera. There is no doubt that this one will take better pictures than the one you have been using. And secondly, if the camera doesnt work out for you, you can take it with you to your new home. Trust me, your gonna need it if Jerry follows through with legal action against you!

find a blacksmith in your town , have him hammer you out a chasity belt ,, you might need it when you bend over to get the camera out of the group shower ...
