far north boas
FAR NOTH BOAS
no they where not, Im whating for chris to ship me my albino motley and its still not the wright temp to ship!
This was a big red flag for me also, most boas start out on at least hopper mice....some small adult mice.
A boa in that condition should not be sold to an inexperienced keeper. the end result is never gonna be good.
I gave Cory full disclosure on the boa's condition and what it was eating. He still wanted the boa.
Also, I shipped the boa to Cory when it was 34/24 degrees in AK. He had days he could have shipped the boa back that were warmer that the day I shipped to him.
I did notify Robert within two weeks that the boa was not eating and he talked me into force feeding wich did not work. I again called Robert, he suggested I invest in a pinkie pump and inject them into his stomach. Which was successfull, but the snake never fed on its own. I called Robert again, and said it was still not eating on his own. So there I was stuck with a snake that wouldn't eat. I tried to do everything Robert guided me to do. No avail. I am new to Buying snakes over the internet,
Robert you knew I was not that experienced with snakes, I confided in him that I was new to this ballgame! He should have never sold me that snake to begin with. A "finicky eater" and a Non Eater are two entirely different things. I've talked to a few other breeders and they've said they NEVER NEVER have had to force feed a boa. I did set an appointment to get him to the vet as soon as he started losing weight, after Robert told me not to. It was just to late.
All I wanted was a phone call from ROBERT. He did not have time to call me or email me, yet he has plenty of time to post the Anchorage weather in a forum. I am a very new breeder, still learning. Ok so I bought my first snakes from Robert in 2007. I have the knowledge of feeding, watering heat, humidity...... however, He knows I was not ready for a "non eating" boa,( he honestly NEVER ate) finicky is a HUGE understatement! Robert obviously can't "post" the hours of phone conversations we had where I asked alot of questions about what I was getting into as a breeder. I guess I learned first hand what I was getting into dealing with him. If you weren't ever going to make the situation whole you shouldn't of left me a voicemail stating you would. Im not going to BICKER back and forth anymore. You sold me a unhealthy non eating snake and that is not what you "DISCLOSED" to one of your "favorite clients". Mark my words, you will never get far treating your clients this way. You've made me out to be a liar and the bad guy. You could have at least been man enough to talk to me on the phone and not in a forum or leaving a vauge voicemail. I understand you won't make this right. I get it. Its a shame it had to come to a forum for you to even respond. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Robert, this is the sound an inexperienced boa keeper makes.
"Inexperienced" also sounds like defending someone who has yet to produce pictures, or any written evidence of the transaction that would help support their story. Conversation from 3-4 months ago don't hold up too good.

In the hands of an experienced person, this snake could well still be alive.
