In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Watch out I got screwed BY Corsi Morphs

I suppose it all depends on how one looks at it. All I know, if I had an auction for any animal that has potentials or proven trait flaws or failures (spider balls, deserts, albino x albino boa breedings, etc), I would personally disclose that, if nothing else, to avoid threads like this from even being started and becoming an issue. While the seller is not responsibile for the buyers doing or not doing proper research, in my eyes, its just proper ethics and morals to go ahead and disclose such potential issues in a particular animal. It takes and extra typed line or so to disclose and just ensures that threads like this wont be started.
Now, of course not even receiving the animal, is a whole different thing.

ANY desert female (combo or normal) should have the disclaimer that they are pet only animals. To not mention anything is what is wrong with the BP market.
Everyone denied the issues with spiders until the evidence was too great. Same with caramels. Look at the huge fiasco over bananas. Now there is mounting evidence that the desert gene negatively affects the reproduction in females. Most honest breeders are being up front about the issue on deserts, spiders, caramels, etc. Others......well there are still a few on KS and elsewhere that try to get top dollar and say that the animals will breed.
It's time for the BP community to stop screwing each other over and let the truth out about the genetic flaws.
It doesn't matter if she won the auction for $1. The auction should have stated issues surrounding these females and the seller should have mentioned it when he spoke to the buyer when it was know this was to be purchased as a breeder.

Just curious if you watched his other auction, it was last week, ended on Wednesday night for a desert yellowbelly female? Was that the same female?

It took some digging, but I found the Facebook auction. I took a screenshot for everybody. The line in the comments is where I had to merge two screenshots to include all the bids.

This is one HOT snake!

So you gave him eight hours before you posted this thread and you used a cool pack as an excuse rather than the reason you listed here ... which is the real reason as I understand it.

I'm not trying to be a prick, but you have to give someone time to reply before you tie them up by the neck. The BOI is often used as a tool to bend a seller at your will and to me, this is what it appears to be.

Jodie, have you let your seller know about this thread?
I can see all the points pro and con on disclosure, but why would you tell him you wanted a refund for shipping reasons when letting him know the real reason might have persuaded him to offer a swap for another snake?

Maybe next time you can try the more tactful and diplomatic approach than posting in anger on the BOI for all to see? You should've known something was up when nobody else was posting bids. It's easy to get carried away in an auction because of the sense of competition it entails.

Hopefully you've learned two important lessons here:

1. Always give the seller (especially a seller with a good reputation) a chance to rectify a situation before you go ape-poop, especially here on the BOI where emotional outbursts have a tendency to hurt more than help you.

2. If a deal seems too good to be true, it generally is.

HE IS REFUNDING ME MY MONEY

Just curious, Is he now a "Good Guy" in your eyes? There are many Bad Guy BOI post that are well deserved. I do not see the case here. I'm glad to see that you were refunded, most reputable sellers would have done the same!

Most importantly, I hope you learned a valid lesson!!

This in an Info Thread not bad guy, Though seems like one is far from one.

I never said he was a bad guy I was just really really mad that he was not returning any communications with me!!! And that he was not upfront about the breeding issues. But I never never said he was a bad guy and I posted this as a INFO thread.

Im glad you got a refund. I think what most of us here's "issue" is that you gave about 8 hours from contacting him and posting (unless Im reading that wrong). 8 hours is a full day of work, for some of us, its less than a full day of work. You legally (unless laws of changed) have 72 hours back out of any deal and get money back (plus returning any item or items purchased back to seller). I think at bare minimum, 24 hours should be given from time of initial contact with a problem to when posts are made public.

What "Good Guy" goes around screwing people? It took him 8-ish hours to respond? Did you ever think.. maybe he was asleep? Or at a job? This is a blatant "Bad Guy" post masquerading as an "INFO" post. You can plainly see that just by reading the title.

If anyone got screwed in this transaction it was CorsiMorphs. :NoNo:

I'm betting that people will remember you and this thread.

:iagree:

lets see Im in Cali and he is in CT I have been trying to contact him for days those where just the 2 emails that I could post so there is a time difference there. I am not trying to be a bitch but after 3 days of being ignored IM PISSED!!

Did you ever inform him of this thread? Not that it would change anything but I'm betting he doesn't know that you slammed him on here with a post like this before he had a chance to respond.

I took the opportunity just a moment ago to send him a link. Whether or not he was notified of it prior to my message I don't know. But, he should be aware of it as soon as he opens my message.

Again, glad you got what you felt you needed and all that, but seems you jumped the gun, unless you can post all evidence of the 3 days of trying to get ahold of him.
And even though, it has the info "light bulb", the title says bad guy from the get go, " I got screwed by Corsi Morphs" is a the same as having a big red x, instead of the info "light bulb". Seems you are new to the whole hobby, not just ball pythons, and hope you learned how to handle a potential issue in the future, should more arise (and they will at some point).
Just remember, people who read these not only remember who the thread is about, but they remember who started the thread reflects just as much on them as the "supposed" bad guy.

Good to see this is resolved but the best part of all this is the people who want to justify a seller not disclosing any and all drawbacks to an animal -Seems like a nice group of people to never do business with.
to me anyone knowingly not disclosing such defects are no better than scammers in my book.

If you don't know about deserts you ought not to be thinking about breeding them. This looks like another ready fire aim Fauna thread.

Now it looks like Corsi Morphs got screwed by you since your screwed up their auction.

For the record a two gene female with one gene being as rare as that - $300 should have been the first clue...

Your email to him said you wanted a refund because of the weather. He must have thought you were a madwoman. You bid on the auction knowing about the weather, and all of a sudden that's the reason for a refund?

If you had told the truth, maybe you could have gotten the snake swapped out. But the weather? How was he supposed to respond to that?

I tried to post shortly after this thread got restarted, but my phone didn't let it happen.

Now that a refund is coming, my previous statements don't matter a whole lot, but I'll toss out some of the highlights.

Auction sales are generally "final". You changing your mind because you decided to investigate doesn't give you any right to a refund.
Personally, I would probably give the refund because it isn't worth the aggravation (that comes with the understanding that I will never deal with you again, btw); BUT, I fully understand that sometimes lines need to be drawn, and policies need to be upheld...as such, I could support the decision to hold you to the purchase as easily as the decision to refund your money.
Did you never consider WHY a desert yellowbelly female would sell for a fraction of the price of a desert yellowbelly male? Did you bid without being aware of pricing? Desert females and combos sell for crap; and I've seen combos given away with various males, just to get rid of them. I considered purchasing a desert female (maybe it was a desert YB?) when people were just dropping them to $1000 - I took a quick look, and easily found that there were issues...and at that time, most people were still being positive about something being figured out to get them to produce.

The only negative comment I had toward Mr Corsi was regarding him having your money and the animal. That was unacceptable, and he needed to correct the situation. If there was a legitimate reason for delay, he needed to contact you and communicate it.
