In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey Richard,
I thought you were gonna pose in a thong (I know - "how do I know you weren't wearing on")
Nice "baby" pic, btw

HA HA HA........I was looking, but I couldn't find any of my "young stud" pics. :dgrin:

Yvonne Charlie is beautiful, I've seen cameleons at shows and have held them-they are very calming. Do you have them displayed ? I have always kept my snakes in the main living areas of my home so they are "a part of ". Right now I have all babys. 17 yrs ago I had some big constrictors I had to give to a friend when I got my first divorce and moved to apt. thats a killer!

Richard you look like a gunslinger! But with kind eyes! great baby you got there.
hhmoore you had that snapper- I've caught a few fishing but have never seen one as big as you were holding-do you "catch" them -as in river banking for them? I know some people do that when their looking to make soup-the die-hards are always missing fingers or parts of them. This might sound off the wall but-Steve Erwin being my idol  -my dream is to one day see those Nile Crocs and feed chickens to them and throw myself on top of an alligator (with help of course) and help tag it or whatever ya do after you throw yourself on top of it! You ever done anything like that-and if you have -where do I sign up to learn? I've actually looked for places to learn that and have had no luck!
Just a thought!

Thanks guys
Stefanie

:>poke2<: That's just not right. You got us all ready for some thong pix, and then just left...or was that hhmoore's fault?

Chameleons do well if they are given their own room with little traffic - which is a shame, as they really are gorgeous creatures. The room I have devoted to them looks SO nice with their cages with Ficus and jungle gyms in them, though. Get this; I made their jungle gyms out of Tinker Toys...I've loved Tinker Toys since I was a little kid, and I had more fun setting up their Tinker Toy gyms than I had in a LONG time, hahaha!
Aw, man that's rough. When I got my first divorce, I had to give my pair of nearly grown Iguanas to a pet store...the owner bought them to take home. He commented like it was so rare how healthy they were, and said he was surprised they didn't have MBD. That made me sad for all the other Iguanas out there. I worried about them for years - I can really identify with what you said. Do you know how your old constrictors ended up after all this time?

Lol Richard, are you a gun slinger? He has a very calm face, nice eyes. I was all wrapped up in the snake, (herps are my weakness) and didn't even comment!

Greek Goddess, you are FAR too light to be throwing your skinny self on a croc. Any self respecting croc would just stand up, turn its head and have itself a little crunchy snack! Unless of course, you're willing to have a heap of other ppl leap on top of you and your croc to save your l'il self!

I just found you I will NOT allow you to become one of the chickens!

I'm guessing the Italian Stallion in the middle :hehe: You are the BEST for wearing that Steelers shirt! Are you from Pgh? One of our close friends is an electrician. Most every electrician I've met is a perfectionist. Guess that comes with the territory if you want to survive without getting electrocuted, haha!

I grew up in Dunlevy PA. a very very small town (maybe 400-500 people) the zip is 15432 if you want to mapquest it to see where exactly that is.
I am a huge STEELERS fan and feel they were robbed both games they lost this year. the ref in thier first loss gave away the game by putting so much time back on the clock at the end of the game and giving them more time to score.

UHHHH NO I AM NOT !!!!!!!!!!!

I am the big RUSSIAN stallion in the middle!!!

I guessed the guy in the middle too-because he looks like he would appreciate the Hell forum and fight for it. Thank you for all your concern Yvonne! But I'm tougher then I look-I went on the Peace river couple yrs ago and fought off some vultures for an alligator carcass to see if there was anything I could get off of it for cleanin'-bleachin' and displayin'-I'm a great collector of feathers-bones-horns and such- I'm just a big tom-boy.
I am trying to talk my mom into a chameleon, she saw one at a craft show and asked me about them-so now I am finding out through you and the forum!

Thanks
stef

You've GOT to be kidding...I grew up in Herminie, PA! That's a eeny weeny (probably even less than 400 ppl back when I was a kid) farm town in Westmoreland county, just northeast of Dunlevy if I'm looking at I-70 right; I didn't bother to enlarge the search area. I THOUGHT that town sounded familiar!

Yeah, I think the Rooneys didn't pay those worthless refs enough...that wasn't the only unfair call in that game. Unbeleivable when you see the replays, how could the refs have screwed up so much unless they were taking kick backs?

Yeap you'd make one oversized Italian, haha!

Now, just how do you figure it could be MY fault??? (Granted, I think that guys in thongs is just WRONG, on the most basic of levels...but if it makes him happy, I know how to look away)

And to Stefanie: I have hauled an occasional snapper out of ponds, but most of the ones I have kept were ones I found on/near the road...or rescues from farmer's ponds (farmers get cranky when big turtles eat their ducklings). Most I just kept for a summer, then released them in a good spot with plenty of time to get ready for winter.
As for the alligator thing - no, my dealings have all been with captives...the biggest being a bit over 7 ft (a Yacare caiman). He was much more of a handful than our 6 ft gator - he would get tired of my foolishness and try to chase me. With him, I usually did use a snout noose because he made it pretty clear that given half a chance he would leave me broken and bleeding. The gators I pretty much just grabbed them by the tail and dragged them over to me (when they were in the water). As long as they knew it was me, they were pretty good about it. If I didn't talk to them first, well, that was my fault. I actually had the biggest gator trained to come when he was called - he would climb out of his pool and walk over to me (made cleaning his enclosure ALOT easier, lol)

Oh, I am sure you'd win in a chick fight if I gave you reason to pummel me
:kill:
I grew up a tomboy too; I didn't own a single doll, but I had lots of salamanders, snakes and I was forever rescuing any poor helpless creature hit by a car or predated by a cat. I guess my eventually taking up nursing the elderly is the natural evolution of that :)

Let me tell you, when you start on chameleons, you can't get enough; they are like Lay's potato chips! And don't get me started on their food; the roaches are SO neat! Look at the Kammerflage Kreations site (its bad manners for me to post the link, sorry) Their chameleons are carefully bred - its just not possible for you to end up with an ugly one if it came from them. If youall get one, I'll hook you up with a starter colony of the non climbing, cricket size roaches I breed so you don't have to ever worry about feeding it. I'll pm you with the details of what works for me so your mom can't go wrong with the set up, should she choose to do this.

Well, yeah! You TEASE! You got us all ready for the thong picture by mentioning it! Heh, get this; my husband's best friend played for awhile with the Dallas Cowboys when he graduated from Pitt. This guy is HUGE. He is 6' 10" and weighs 340# Every year (its a tradition, what can I say) he wears a tiny neon green thong for one day during the vacation we take with him every year. The looks of complete shock from passerby almost make me wish I had that much in the way of guts

What kind of roaches are you talking about? I breed lobster roaches, but they're kind of a hassle because of their climbing ability.

Blatta Lateralis. They are EXTREMELY prolific, almost as good as lobsters from what I hear. I have yet to try any climbing roach, I don't have the nerve because these live in a room in my house.

Well, if you wanted some lobster roaches, we could always trade some breeding groups. These guy breed like CRAZY! ;)

Where is the best place to buy Blatta Lateralis? Can you recommend any good info sites on them?

This topic sure does ramble around...

:unhappy: I'm skeered of climbers, Dr. Owens...do you have any wierd roaches, like glowspots maybe? I'd trade ten lateralis for one of those.

Yeah, we are rambling around here; I think most of the blame is mine...I'm not in a huge amount of trouble, am I?

What is your specialty?

No, the only thing I keep is the lobsters. I'm not really into insects, I just keep them as feeders.

Not unless Lucille says something. ;) These particular forums are more for fun and getting to know each other. I don't think people really mind much when things get a little off topic. Besides, unless there's an actual rules violation (people fighting, etc.), the mods pretty much leave things alone in here. :)

What is your specialty?
I used to be an Internal Medicine resident, but I took a sabatical in order to care for my father while he was dying of cancer. Since he passed away recently, I am now getting ready to go back and finish my residency. However, I will likely be switching specialties when I do.
