    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Who moderates the moderators

It's usually pretty obvious...and sometimes we make a point of removing the hat.
BTW - are you some kind of psychic? Rich just initiated a discussion on that very topic - which I'll let him reveal if/when something is implemented.

Actually I do try to be pretty lenient about things around here. The primary criteria I look for in a member is that they just don't make this place unpleasant for other members to be here. And especially myself and the staff. We don't LIKE to have to work when we come here. So, if someone is causing a whole lot more problems than we typically experience from someone, and they are more of a headache than their total net worth to this site, then we just start asking ourselves whether or not their presence is really wanted around here.

The infraction system serves as a warning to someone that they are engaging in mannerisms that we do not want to have here, and further travelling down that same road without turning around can cause them to be forcibly removed. We seriously do NOT like to ban people. But we also will not shirk this duty if it becomes obvious that we really have no other choice. Sometimes you really do have to pluck bad apples out of the barrel.

Personally, one of my pet peeves is when a member starts spouting off crap about how bad this site is and making derogatory comments about staff and/or the membership. Quite honestly, if you don't like the place, then get the hell out quickly and cleanly. If you do that voluntarily without a lot of fuss, well maybe in the future your perspective might change and you will decide to give this place another try. But if you bang a lot of doors, kicking over the furniture, and cuss us up one side and down the other as you are heading for the exit, well your leaving may become quickly INVOLUNTARY and may not give you that option of returning in the future. Trust me, there are quite a few people who did this in the past who now regret their actions. Sometimes I relent and let them back in, but certainly not always. Depends on how big of a stink they made before being tossed out the door.

So please just be rational about how you behave here. I hope that isn't too much to ask from everyone.
