• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I am looking to add a rack to house my up and coming females, and another to house this years hatchlings. I currently have two AP adult racks and an old school DIY rack that I absolutely hate. I am looking for something that is easy to clean, holds easily found tubs, and is well priced.

Any suggestions please let me know.

It depends, I bought a 10 tier Vision Rack a couple years ago and its still good. It holds 10 28qt tubs, and was 400 shipped.

Pros: Good amount of rack space for the price, easy enough to put together and take apart, comes with locking wheels, and its all made out of hard plastic and some steel.

Cons: Uses Heat tape for heating, is an open design so not ideal unless you have stable room temps, and on mine there is at least one tub that sticks a bit but not much

As far as truly affordable, I think it'd be tough to beat AP's economy series. If your room temps are on the cool side, you'll need to insulate them though. If you get the sterilite 15/32s, you can use them for juveniles or some adults, making them good multitaskers. Just make sure you buy more tubs than you need, since sterilite is good about changing tubs regularly.
 
Honestly just make your own. Its not difficult plus you save tons of cash.

Just look up some diy's on it. Google is your best friend
 
I build my own and I made a rack that holds 24 6qt bins and one that holds 15 12qt bins out of melamine for around $120 each including the heat tape. They are easy and once you know what you're doing take less than 30 minutes to complete.
 
Yea but melamine is so heavy, spend about $100 more and buy XPVC and you are still saving about $200 vs a rack you buy
 
It is heavy but sturdy as well. I couldn't find XPVC near here either. They do have regular PVC board but the cost was $1300 for an 8x4 foot 3/4" board, the same size melamine boards are under $40 each.
 
Then buy wood thats got some moisture protection. Ur still savin lots of money.
Otherwise just buy an ars open air rack if u dont feel like building anything. Which takes no time at all.
 
XPVC and PVC board 4x8 1/2" are $70-$96 here where I live..I have bought them from the plastics company a few times..am currently building two racks for someone now and ordered some more. Just look up any plastics company in your area and they will have XPVC, shouldn't be more than $100 but max I've seen is $125.
