In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy William Albright, very, very bad

William Albright is still posting snake for sale on kingsnake, so you mean to tell me that he can't respond to my emails, texts, and calls. Thats :censored:.

:iagree: Yeah, that's pretty much a slap in the face.

I sent him an email informing him of this thread and a email as recent as 9/2/2009.

Any of the folks who are posting good dealing with him want to see if they can motivate good old Bill to make an appearance? Being such a good guy in all I'm sure he just must be missing Jesus' calls, e-mails and texts.

OT, but goddamn do I hate your picture of that bug. Blech. Drives me nuts everytime.

If he sold you a snake with mites he is scum and should be avoided, if one snake has mites ALL of his snakes have mites. I'd tell him to refund your money or you will be taking him to court. I would also ship the snake back to him. Mites are unacceptable. If someone sells your a snake with mites they are basically selling you a blood sucking parasite, the seller is a blood sucking parasite too. Take this as a lesson learned, only buy retics from very reputable breeders like Bob Clark, Nerd, Mike Willbanks, Jay Villa.

I would have bought a retic from one of those people but I didn't have 750 bucks just laying around. And when I did a search of William Albright all I found was a thread where people were saying how good it was to do business with him.

Bill Albright

Thanks for linking the thread in regards to Bills photo touchup on the gtp and the hot shipment. If I had seen this post prior to purchasing from him I would not have even considered the purchase. Not sure why this thread didn't come up when I did a search, only the good guy threads?

I'll give him credit for responding to defend himself for touching up the photo. For whatever reason that was a bad choice and sends up red flags to me.

The shipping of a hot through an overnight carrier is not only stupid but it jeopardizes all the breeders currently using these shipping methods. I can't speak for anyone else but this is the only method I use to sell my reptiles, I don't attend shows.

I just want people to know that William Albright or Bill Albright as he's also known as, is not the guy to do business with. Like you and a couple people you have posted to this thread, when I did a search of him all I got were good guy posts also. He sent me an email this morning saying that the only email he's ever gotten from me was the email I sent to him about this thread. I already posted emails that I sent to him way before this thread was started. So everybody out there, my name is Jesus Blackman and I'm telling you, If you want quality and healthy snakes DO NOT buy from William Albright or Bill Albright as he also goes by this name to. :NoNo:

Mr. Neville - The extent of the mites has not been adequately documented here. There is no photographic proof, and if the "infestation" cleared up within the short timespan the OP documents, there is a chance that his description was exaggerated. This does not excuse sending out an animal with mites in any quantity, however, when dealing with snakes, mites are always a risk, and dealing with "very reputable breeders" does not necessarily protect you from this risk. I personally witnessed a Bob Clark shipment come in with mites. The animal was otherwise healthy, but it does happen.

Mr. Blackman - While I do take issue with the condition of the animal, it seems like Mr. Albright has at least been making an attempt to help despite the increasingly impatient and argumentative tone of your e-mails towards him. Is this your first large constrictor or retic? In my experience, retics are particularly prone to having their scales fold back...especially when they are nearing a shed cycle. I haven't worked with that species in a while, but I have also witnessed it with other snakes.

Additionally, a snake that is under so much stress will not necessarily eat. The more often you attempt to feed it, the longer it will take to get going. I have animals that go off feed during breeding season for as long as 7 months at a time...yes, 7 MONTHS!!!! Give this animal the right husbandry and do not attempt to feed it for at least 2-3 weeks. Its reaction to your feeding attempts is textbook defensive behavior. Its had a rough few weeks and every time you go in there to offer food, it sees you as a threat.

I understand your frustration, but at this point, I feel your best course of action is to do what's best for the animal and write this deal off as a lesson learned. Sometimes you get what you pay for. The more reputable breeders are less risky and do accept payment plans. Remember that if you're using your last $400 on buying an animal, that leaves no money with which to care for the animal.

If he has contacted you, this may be his attempt to re-open the lines of communication. Will you please post that e-mail as well? What else did he have to say about this transaction?

I personally think Bill would not be intentionally ignoring you. That is all My original post was implying. Like I said before I know plenty of people who have dealt with Bill in the past and all were satisfied. I am not here to defend him or saying to just chalk it up to the game. I am simply saying I believe he will make this deal right. He does have a good reputation to uphold.

Captnemo, This is not my first retic or large constrictor, so I know how scales sometimes fold back. That's not the problem, the problem is the damaged and discolored scales on him, the bubbling from his mouth, and him not eating. The mite infestaion has been taken care of, i have not seen one on him yet. And yes, I spent my last 400 bucks on this animal but it's not the last 400 bucks of my life, I do have a job. I will always do what's best for the animal and I've learned my lesson, but write it off and chalk it up, :censored: that. I was told an assured over the phone by William Albright that this animal was healthy and when I get him he's not. Why don't you take some of your hard earned money and go give it to a scammer and then "just write it off", I bet you won't. That's false advertisment. If a guy sold you a car and told you about how great it runs, and how many new parts he put into it. Then when he ships it to you you find that he lied about all the shiney new parts he "put in" yeah it runs but it's bubbling from somewhere. How long will this thing last you ask yourself. He told you that you was getting a great car, but he sold you a lemon. Would you write the deal off and chalk it........ I don't think you would, so next time, don't tell someone else to just chalk it.

There's also no need for me to EVER exaggerate anything. I sat for almost an hour and a half plucking mite off that snake. William Albright even said himself that his "employee" shipped me the snake in the same infested package that he recieved an infested anery boa a day or two earlier.

Bill Albright

From my point of view in regards to the mite infested snake the only right thing to do is offer to purchase the snake back and give a full refund. If that would have been offered from the start this thread would not be here, or it may even be a "good guy" thread.

I just recieved an email from William Albright on a possible solution to this problem. So as of right now I will not post anything more until the problem is resolved.

For the record, read my original post through I never said to chalk it up to the game. I just said I won't tell you to chalk it up to the game. communicate with Bill some and I feel he will make it right. I have known him for several years and am pretty confident he will at least try to satisfy you as a customer. Don't take what I say as disrespect I understand you are not happy with the snake. But Bill did make an attempt at communicating with you this morning I would take this as a sign of possible good things to come.

Your first statement was that Mr. Albright wanted to help you with the snake, and that the respiratory symptoms had cleared up. I agree with you that if the animal was as you described, it is unacceptable. Have you offered this seller a solution as far as what you would accept from him?

I bought a lemon once, and trying to prove it and fight the guy who sold it to me only wound up costing me more in time and legal fees and I recouped nothing.

As far as the reptile community is concerned, I've been scammed before and did "chalk it up" after getting the word out there. http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107227&highlight=copertino

The word is now out there on William Albright. Be calm, be professional, and work towards a solution. If you allow this thread to become nothing more than you venting and start jumping on those who don't give you 100% support, it will do nothing productive. I asked honest questions and you immediately became defensive. I'm not trying to argue, just get to know your experience vs. what happened so that I may help the best I can.

Lastly, how often have you been offering food? I touched on this in my last post, but you did not address it.

Harry over at monstersnakes is someone that I consider a friend, and he told me to basically leave the snake alone and give him some time to settle in. Which I did, accept for cleaning the cage and changing the water and misting him to keep the humidity up to help with the RI. I offerd the snake a meal about once every week before that. After leaving him alone, I offered food to him yesterday which he didn't take. He did however constrict it but then left it alone. I left the rat in there with him but it was a no go.
