I was wondering why I hadn't been contacted by anyone about this (other than Maggie the day it happened) or forwarded the chat. I had guessed my name must have been mentioned in the chat. Well as of yet I have not received anything and to tell you all the truth I am about to throw my hands up. Screw it, I have been busting my ass over this and over 2/3 of those involved couldn't even bother to file an IC3 complaint. Why the hell should I give a crap if these two pay if nobody else does?

Congratulations to the Wises, you have split this community even further. As for any who were involved in the chat, you were played for fools. Christina manipulated you and the situation, AGAIN.

Maggie, I apologize but after I do what I intended to do I will have to stop as I cannot fight this all on my own and now apparently I am not trusted enough to have the information from chat nor the support to go after the Wises.

And no Harald, I wouldn't post it here (or on the BOI thread) even if I did receive it short of some truth being said but I highly doubt she would start telling the truth now. I have tried to keep the BOI thread on track and stop the pointing of fingers that has been going on behind the scenes from the beginning. Posting the verbal masturbation session (aka the chat) would only further derail things even more than they already are.

And thus the reason I posted what I did above.... its all you now.

If you need anything I have... call or email me and I will get it to ya.... but Im not busting my butt on this any further. I have animals to care for and a business to run.... and that hasnt been getting as much attention as it needs because of this.

In the beginning (once again...) the chat was OPEN...if people had listening skills instead of just muddying the waters everyone could have the same information. Since they couldn't...I don't feel the need to let these small minded, disrespectful, meddlesome people know anything...these are the people that feel that they can bust into other's private conversations and POST about them. Regardless of what anyone's personal opinion is, some of you seem to be forgetting one thing..no matter how much anyone hates anyone else..those people who hate can not control who individuals speak to or listen to. I do not subscribe to a mass hate mindset.

What about those of us that weren't there in the first place. Dont you think its disrespectful to keep us out of the loop when we have tried to do so much. Dont you think its disrespectful to decide for us if the info is good enough for us to read. And lastly..... why are we giving Christina ANY respect after what she did to Maggie and Rick. If she couldnt handle the free fer all in the main chat room... well she brought it on herself. As someone else stated... there were other avenues of communication if she couldnt handle the heat (email and PM).

From what I understand there was no useful information from that chat and we shouldn't dwell on it.

And who is qualified to make this distinction.... do you realize it took at least 8 of us to bust the fake check and doctored bank statements. Quite frankly... Im not gonna take one or two peoples words that there is nothing there. What if only two people ever say the check and bank statement. Would we be to this point right now?

I'm not sure where the concept of being invited to this chat came from - I was under the impression that it was happenstance.
I also find it odd that among those expressing outrage that the chat was in a separate, private room are people that I've never even seen in chat...you people wouldn't have seen if it took place in The Lobby.

Let me put this to rest... .I have been in chat. Am I a regular.. .nope... but I have gone there a time or two. The key is .... unlike the rest of the site... I cant get there from work..... So I may stop in on occasion while workin in the herp room.



EDIT.... and I thought our goal was to compile evidence against the Wise's... why withhold it... even to those of us that wasnt in chat that night.

Is this how we are going to let this end? We're going to allow a couple of heartless con artists, divide us and beat US? What the hell is wrong with everyone? Jeff and Christina ARE getting exactly what they wanted. THEY ARE BEATING US, they are beating our compassion, our hope and our resolve. Stop already!

Each of us, myself included, let our feelings get in the way of the big picture. No matter what our opinion is on the chat, this needs to stop so we CAN UNITE as a community and do what needs to be done, NOW! This thread won't go away - it can be addressed after the Wise's get what is coming to them.

What do you think Chuck would say, knowing we failed at the one thing he was so passionate about? To add to that, we failed with the people that mean the most to him. There is something VERY wrong with that.

Let's direct our anger where it belongs. This has gotten out of hand and turned into a load of horsecrap. We ARE a strong community, with unbelievable compassion - we NEED to stay focused at WHO the bad guys here are. I am ashamed I let myself get caught up in the Wise's latest trick. We should all be ashamed.

Dave, if there is anything I can do, just say the word. I have the summer off and have extra time I could spend on this.

For the record, I did send you a message via email to let you know about the chat while it was taking place. It wasn't until later in the evening that I got a response to the message... from Maggie. I didn't realize that the email under your user name was hers, although in hindsight I think I read that somewhere.

I was aware of this and thanks but as I said I would not have participated.

Dave, you can leave me all the negative karma you want but it still doesn't change the fact that there are too many people pointing fingers at other people, and saying I, I, I.

Unbelievable........... Heck, I have not seen the chat logs nor any excerpts from it, and I have absolutely NO interest in reading page after page of lies anyway. Who in their right mind really gives a rip about what that girl has to say now?

And people are getting UPSET over this? So what, some people think that THEIR name might have been mentioned and they want to have something else to get upset over? As for the claim that they would like to use if for a claim of libel, get real please. That was a PRIVATE conversation and libel only applies to PUBLIC release of damaging statements. You can't sue someone for libel in a private phone call, and you certainly can't do that for someone posting text in a private conversation via chat. All this is is just a blatant case of simple CURIOSITY about what Christina Wise said. And over that people want to terminate the efforts to prosecute the Wises and lock themselves away in their safe little cocoons at home because they cannot satisfy their curiosity. Well boo, frickin' hoo.... Yeah, let's all turn something that was making people proud to be part of this community into something else that will leave us all embarrassed and stupid looking about.

The Wises allowed us to beat ourselves. Yay team.....

It's no damned wonder this industry is in trouble. You can't get three people to agree to anything and most will get all butt hurt over the most insignificant of perceived slights and then take their ball and bat and go home.

I am saddened at how much we are at each other’s throats about this mess. I was a sideline member for quite awhile, watching over my husband’s shoulders. Having links emailed to me while at work of reptiles we may be interested in. I didn’t feel the need to have my own account. My husband would be at his computer and start laughing out of no where over things Chuck and other people would post. Dean began telling me about how close the community was coming together for Rick and Sandra and then again for Chuck and Maggie. The auctions to keep the BOI going, the auctions for our members. These heartfelt moments, compassion and genuine caring for others is what brought me to Fauna to have my own account. I no longer wanted to be a sideline member, hearing everything through my husband. I wanted to be a participating and contributing member. I enjoyed learning about our hobby from other people other than my husband. I enjoyed getting to know the people on the forum.
Like many people have said to people in the BOI the defining characteristics of a person is how they handle the tough situations. I would like to change that to the defining characteristics of a community is also how they handle the tough situations.
We need to stop letting these scam artists divide us apart. There is a reason the saying says Divide and Conquer. Why let Christina and Jeff get what they want and that is a free pass to do this. Let’s not give up and let them win. Let’s reunite over the common goal and come together for Justice.

Lucille - why are you trying to aggravate the situation with inflammatory supposition? You don't think there was enough fuss, without fueling the fire? I've mentioned a few of the things I saw....and hinted at some others. Look at was was said - it wasn't "some bad stuff", it was a crock of sPit. Why should anybody stick their neck out to be associated with it? And, as you stated, even if some important morsel of information was divulged - why would anyone believe it was a gem of unaltered truth when it's surrounded by crap?

I have thousands of posts, few of them are very inflammatory. It sounds like you are saying that I should avoid asking questions because there's already fuss.
Maybe the fuss makes your job harder. I'll make it up to you sometime, I'll buy you a beer or bake you a cake (I'd suggest the beer, lol). But the reason I ask questions is because I'm curious. I don't need to be squished down. I need answers.

The more that I hear people try to brush off any info as a crock, and the harder people try to put the hush on, the more curious I become. There's plenty of crocks on the BOI, this situation is unique not because of the content however crocky, but because the hush is on, bad.

While all that is true, I'll tell you what I do know. What got me riled up was that several people involved are there, reading, even posting, then go participate in some of the other areas, chat for a while, spend a couple hours online, but not direct 15-20 minutes of that time to something that is needed.

But I'm over that. I broke my New Years resolution by getting angry over stupid crap. Gotta make the rest of the year if I can. So I figure, they'll file or they won't, and we'll move forward with what we have.


But more on topic, Rich hit the nail on the head. As dishonest as Christina's proved herself to be, how can anyone even give the slightest inkling of a thought about her accusing anyone of anything?

All this crap does is make it look like you're gunning for him. Consider this if you will. Many people here, myself included, consider Dean an asset to this community. And now it appears you are running that asset off due to your own personal issues.

I have nothing against you at all. But I for one, sure wouldn't look favorably upon losing an asset to the community. That would sorta be a destructive contribution on your part, no? Just saying.

I am not responsible for any whiners, and drama queens leaving the site just because one or two people may suspect them of anything, or may not like them. If they have nothing to hide/fear what's the problem?

Mannnn, there are a few people here I now look at differently and really starting to dislike.

Look at what you have allowed those two to do, to alot of supposed to be friends.
People who once liked each other and chatted daily are now fighting, arguing, spouting ugly names, and leaving the site OVER THOSE TWO.

Ya know. I really like Dean, and have always thought of him as a damn good guy, and on the other hand Deb and I have never really been on the same page with many views but here I agree 100% with Deb.

This hobby/business will always have some kind of drama going on. If you're going to let that run you from a predominantly good hearted community then it's your loss.

Like I said I think Dean is a good guy, and I hope he's just venting with his recent decision to withdraw from the community ( that I could understand ), but if he's serious about the whole thing then so be it. His loss ( as well as ours, but more so his. ).
