    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wormman.com

I just saw this idiot post on Kingsnake classifieds with a pic of the dead dragon, which lead me here.

This motivated me to re-sign up for this newest version of the board, though I haven't visited it often lately.

Just so I can tell the folks at Double D Reptiles what total and complete pieces of #### they are.  Hope "####" isn't against the TOS, b/c it's the kindest word I can think of at the moment.

People like you are exactly what this hobby doesn't need.  Get out of breeding animals, and by no means reproduce yourselves.  This is just sick.

As for the dragons going without food.  Just for the non-dragon keepers: THEY EAT GREENS.

Ok, I was so annoyed I hit "enter" prematurely.

And I guess you can't spell "excrement" with an S here anymore.  Sorry your Webslaveness, but these guys p.... can't say that either, I bet... me off.

Back to dragons: They can do just fine on greens for several weeks.  Not being able to get crickets is no excuse for starving adult dragons to death.

If what the idiots mean is that the dragons wasted away, then there's a chance of adenovirus or parasites.  If it WAS adeno, you can be the offspring have it.

In case anyone isn't paying attention: NEVER BUY ANIMALS FROM THESE IDIOTS!

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">because I know that a healthy bearded dragon can go without food for much longer periods of time than 2 weeks. </td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>
, during brumation, and they do not starve to death.
O.K?

Okay...

How in the HELL are you going to post pictures of a DEAD animal to sell its babies?!?!?!?!

What in the world is the matter with this numbnuts?!?!  He kills his dragon by not feeding it, but doesn't even bother to use a picture from at least when he was still alive to sell his offsrping, but a picture of him right out of the freezer(at least that is what it looks like to me)!  Is he trying to show what the babies will look like when you get them...dead?!

Absolutely ridiculous.  I don't normally get all that fired up here about something, but that is just WRONG.

This is what it says on his website
</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">THE REASON WHY I AM SELLING THEM SO CHEAP IS THAT MY MALE DIED FOR NO REASON AT ALL AND I NEED TO REPLACE HIM</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>

So did the male die for no reason?
Did the male die because it was sick?
Did the male die because he starved it to death?

Technically, the dragon died due to neglect.

Yes, it probably was sick, yes it died because it starved to death, because this MORON doesn't have any idea how to properly care for dragons. It's not that hard to do a LITTLE bit of research even and see how often and what to feed dragons. Adult dragons don't NEED crickets every other day. Maybe once or twice a week. Now, greens on the other hand, daily.  So, neither of his dragons died because he was too stupid to read the shipping policy changes on wormmans site, they died because he was too stupid to be able to find a grocery store. Heck, he could have bought the prechopped salads if nothing else, no cutting/chopping needed there, just toss them into the cages!

At any rate, an adult dragon that was in good shape WOULD be able to live for a week without food. No, I haven't tested this personally, but they do have fat reserves, otherwise, there is no way they would be able to survive in the wild.

Good point, Casey.  How many dead dragons does this goof ball have?   I think I'll NOT buy anything from him.

Man I wish I had some dead crested geckos in the freezer, I've got a couple of babies just hatched that I will need to sell soon.

OH MY GOD!!! I saw the ad on Kingsnake, and was DISGUSTED to say the least.  I just now sat down and read this entire thread, and there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Stanley is a total idiot. I do not like talking bad about anyone but this guy has done it to himself.  He tries to Blame Worman.com for his inability to feed and care for his dragons in a responsible fashion.  That is Ludicrous!!! I hope more people will see this, read this, and find out the truth about him and will steer far and clear of his dragons.  I would not even put any of his animals in my facility even if they were free.  Who knows what other problems the animals have.  Anyone with half a brain, and that can read, and has read any books on the care of bearded Dragons know that the majority of an Adult Dragons diet should consist of greens!!! There is no reason EVER for an animal to starve to death like the animal in the picture. And there is NO REASON ever that a picture of such an animal should have ever been posted for ANYONE to view!!. Stanley you are deplorable and are someone that needs to be arrested and charged with animal cruelty and have every animal confiscated!!! PERIOD!!!

I could barely read the last few posts here after seeing that photo.  That animal is DEAD and posted in an add on kingsnake?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>?  That is horrible--probably the most unbelievable thing I have seen in awhile in the reptile trade, maybe ever for a dragon lover.

Today is the first day I read this thread.  I am actually in shock that this person breeds anything.
To blame your cricket carrier for being late causing the death of your animals???

1st off, you can easily go buy crickets somewhere else to tide you over--even if it was promised to get there the next day--if your dragons are hungry that day--go get them some.

Obviously the dragons did not die out of the blue--you sat and watched their demise without doing anything but bug wormman.com???
How about a grocery store???  Greens, veggies, fruit--and if for some odd reason you cant get crickets--how about some baby food with protein?  What you really needed was a vet, probably way before you ever ordered your crickets.

I cannot believe this one.  A dead dragon to promote your dragons for sale?<img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

I dont know what else to say (in public).  And the crazy thing is that this guy announced that his dragons died by starvation without prompt AND posted photos of his dead dragon for all of the kingsnake buyers to see.

Webslave, since this is supposed to be about worman, can someone post a Whitt separate thread that directs them to here?  Anyone buying lizards should be alerted to this person.

Dana

Well, not being the type to talk behind someone's back, I dropped Whitt an e-mail.   I was hoping to elicit a response from the idiot, and did.  His response doesn't seem to gel with anything he's said here so far.

He hasn't answered the questions in my reply as of this time.  Those answers, if forthcoming, will be posted as well.

The quote below is from the last e-mail I sent, so for chronological order, read from the bottom up.

OK, so what did the male die from then? Did you get a necropsy? Are you aware
of how stupid it looks to post a pic of a dead dragon? Or how your posts on
Fauna Classifieds, claiming that the dragon died for lack of crickets looks?

Healthy dragons don't keel over for "no reason" as stated on your site, nor
do they starve because they miss a few weeks' worth of crickets, as you
stated on Fauna Classifieds.  You're responsible for finding out exactly what
killed that male, b/c if it's viral, it can easily be passed on to the
babies.

And your 'big man' remark is pretty funny coming from someone who was
threatening a cricket supplier with JAG lawyers and bragging about his
alleged weapons qualifications scores on an open forum.

I don't wish any harm on you or your family.  I am just utterly amazed at the
gall you exibit in posting that ad on KS and in your behavior on Fauna
Classifieds.  I haven't seen anything to change that opinion, so far, except
some conflicting stories, worthless threats, and brags about your shooting
and GPA.

Get the dragon necropsied and post the results.  Then be a man and apologize
for your attacks on others.  If you post a dead animal and then complain
about the cricket supplier being at fault for its death -- you should have
found other food for the dragon, regardless -- then you give the impression
that yes, you are a P.O.S.   If you're in the military, consider what your CO
and First Sgt. will think of your public behavior.  If they don't give a
crap, you know I can find someone in your chain of command who will.  Your
behavior as a breeder has been way out of line and your behavior as a soldier
(if in fact, you are one) is loaded with UCMJ violations.

Your e-mail seems like an attempt to change my opinion of you somewhat, so
that's what you can do to change it.

"I CRIED WHEN MY DRAGON DIED AND I PUT HIM IN THE FREEZER IN CASE I WANTED TO GET HIM STUFFED SO I COULD ALWAYS HAVE HIM."

~PULLEEZE!!!  I'm truly dying here...don't know whether to laugh, cry or load my Magnum.  I have not been to this board in quite awhile..I do that periodically...but I am amazed at this "man" {and I use the term loosely!} who calls himself a breeder.

~OK, Let's start with the original line of this thread.  I am sure everyone who knows me knows, FOR SURE, that I am going to jump to Ken Chiarella's defense.  It has been at least 2-3 years that I have had dealings with WormMan.  There has been a few (VERY few! ) mix-ups in my orders, but they were always, ALWAYS, made right in a bonus sort of way.  I have used nearly every other live feeder dealer there was over the past numerous years of reptile keeping and breeding.  None impressed me as much as WormMan has...many times over.  Quality product, good prices, friendly service....sounds like good business to me.  I refer all the people who buy my animals to Ken's site and I will continue to do so.  I have had MANY reptiles at one time and  very few at others.  No matter the size of my order, it has always been treated as if I were their only customer.  I know that having my business, as well as my patience and understanding the few times there WAS a problem, has been rewarded with continued great service and attention to special requests. I have expanded my interests to include high end geckos, and I know for sure...they will thrive on WormMan live feeders!!!

~That being said, I really need to get my $.50 worth in on Mr. Whitt.  I know I can count on anyone I have done business with to vouch for my reputation as a caring and attentive owner and breeder of reptiles...in particular, Bearded Dragons.  My dragons are fed tropical and home grown fruits, fresh vegetables of many varieties, fresh leafy greens, mealworms, waxworms, superworms, calcium/vitamin supplements and last, but not least, gutloaded crickets.  Although not advisable on a long term basis, Dragons can thrive quite well on fruit and veggie salads for a considerable amount of time.  I have had a dragon escape and be MIA for nearly 2 weeks.  When found, he was thinner and a bit thirsty...but still looked better than the one posted on Kingsnake by Mr. Whitt.  {Not only does he post it on the KS but it is also on his website!!!}  My point being, a normally healthy, well-fed dragon will take much more than one week without food to look as bad as that sad creature did.  There was not even enough to "stuff".  {Geeze! THAT part actually turned my stomach! }

~You need to give it up, Stanley.  The more you say, the further you shove your foot in your mouth.  A truly "smart" man would know when to quit.  My best chuckle was reading that you actually had the brass ones to try to collect for the dragons' death from WormMan.  Second only to that, was  your formula for determining the worth of your lost dragon.  Did you have to stay up all night to do work that one out??  I only wish there was that much money to be made on reptile breeding!!!  I wouldn't have to have my full time job.  Hell! that would be like hitting the lottery!!  Is that what you are trying to do???

~And yet, I still can't get over this guy  >>>chuckle<<< Reminds me of a great Jethro Tull song.."Thick as a Brick"....Hmmm.. Jethro??  Jethro Bodine?? as in Beverly Hillbillies???  Hey!  Can you "cypher" something for me?..."knot-knot"  ROTFLMAO!!!

Gawd, I needed that!!

4.0 GPA? This is entirely believeable, especially if if you've only taken 1 class and it was phys ed.

You are a sargeant in the military too? OMG! WE ARE ALL DOOMED!

Please refer all comment about Stanley to the Stanley Whitt thread so we can get his name out there as a bad guy.

Thanks <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Hey everyone, I haven't had a problem with wormman, I only used them once though.  There stupid we will only ship on Monday and Tuesday was rediculous.  I curently use www.reptilefood.com.  i haven't had many problems with them.  They ship next day monday till thursday never told me it was too hot or asked for more money.  They use airborne express.  The total cast per 1000 is about 17.00, when i order 2000 it costs me 27.00.  It is a little more expensive than wormman but it is a hell of alot more convient.  I did have two little problems with them but they always treated me nicely about it and made right on it.  They once sent me what i thought was a half full box.  With my next order they doubled up what i ordered for free.  They also haven't made any errors in the past several months.

Derek

I placed an order with wormman for crickets on July 10th.(This was my first order with them)
I have not had any contact with them since sending payment THREE weeks ago! despite my repeated attempts to contact them. I have requested that my money be refunded also with no response.
Will be ordering my crickets elsewhere...

wormman

I placed an order with wormman.com on 4-21-03. I have never had any problems ordering crickets from them before. I still haven't gotten my crickets from 4-21. I have emailed with no response. Their voice mail is full. I am always willing to give somebody a chance to explain, but this is dragging on too long. It might only be $15, but I would like to have it back if wormman.com can't provide the crickets. Wormman, if you read this, I emailed the order number back to you asking for an update on my order. I do need an answer back from you. Either send me the crickets or give me my money back. If anybody would like, I can post a copy of the email confirming my order.
