• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info www.tierneyreptiles.com (WARNING)

They're good enough to prove your point. Dang, I didn't realize you were remodeling your whole house around a reptile room....I am jealous.

As a carpenter/woodworker any screws put into the endgrain of a board ( where it's been cut) have to be pre-drilled and should also have been done so with a pilot bit, that drills out a larger hole for the head of the screw to fit flush with wood.
That's hack work to have done anything else.
You deserve a full refund.

The hardware cloth in one of those pics is not flush to the wood. That is a BIG deal because even adult rats can get out through a small gap. Even if they can't get through it, it will encourage them to chew through the concrete bin to escape. My first rack had tiny gaps in the mesh, and I had to replace a number of bins because the rats kept chewing all the way through the same place in each: right under the gaps. (See my thread in "hell" for what damage can be wrought by escapee rodents.)

Also, the total cost of materials for my 6-tub racks (which I think are almost the same as yours) was about $100 each here in inflationville (suburban D.C.). He's turning a nice profit on those shoddy racks! If I was going to pay to have rat racks built, I'd expect a better job than I could do on my own (and nicer materials than warped wood, for that exorbitant price).

Good luck with a satisfactory outcome, but I'm afraid I'm not terribly optimistic. Guy sounds like a really classy businessman. :rolleyes:
