Xoticreptiles22: reptibid auction, use caution

hey

that male came from a ratio of 3.2 and 50% of the hatchling would be het. There are more males then females so i figure males take a little more in the chances of being het.Since the male looked different in stomach pattern, I figure those to be het markers. So in that auction i believe i said there is a good Chance of this one being het.

I am not sure if you are an honest person that has simply made some very poor decisions in regards to your wording for your auctions, or if you are someone that may be "non-reputable" as a businessman in this line. What I am certain of is that you should really choose your words more carefully in the future.

Don't take offense if questions are asked regarding your ethics. You would do the same thing in this situation if you were on the buying end instead of the selling. We all require ourselves to do our best to keep this trade as honest as possible and to sift out the "cons" and "frauds". Put alot of thought into your responses and make sure that you answer questions honestly and accurately.

Hopefully, this is a lesson learned and a matter that can be cleared up with honest and well thought answers. Good luck to you in the future if you are an honest dealer, and if you are not, you chose the right forum to be exposed in. And if you are a "fraud", then I would hope all the negative deeds you do will follow you around.

This is all just my opinion. Take it as you will.

I guess my wording was wrong,And i am extremely sorry to all of you who have been doing this post or read my auctions or words wrong!
I am an honest person and dont want this to ruin any furture business i may get from any of you.
I do realize how convincing all of this sounds, trust me ive read it! I was shocked that anyone could pull something like this together. i do understand that there are people out there who will trick you into losing big bucks!
I assure you i am not that type of person. Every animal i have ever shipped is in insulated boxes with heat or cool packs,i take good care of my animals! and I only sell what worth buying. The fake snake! is out of the question. i would never do such a thing.
The most i can do is say i am extremely sorry if all of you got the wrondg impression of me and I will definately watch my words from now on!

The 100% was a typo for the pied male. The pied was a 50% het from robert, the one that i decided to sell on reptibid.
The 100% het albino is a 100% het.Sorry!

But anyways, Charles is right, maybe it was just a wording issue. Your previous questions on genetic issues posted by other members clearly show that not so long ago you had no clue about genetics or how to keep your animals at the right temperature. Now all of a sudden you have not only bred animals, but are offering 50%ers for albinos and piebald with genetic guarantee. You will have to concede that it is extremely “fishy”.

When i said there no doubt in my mind that he is a het is because i believe he has the het markers and that was a way of saying i am really confident in him proving out if i had to choose out of all of them.
 
So far all of your defenses have been that "when I said this, I meant this" or "I said this because I believed this". You have to say what you mean and mean what you say, otherwise you will be exposed as a fraud. Given that you are new to breeding, you shouldn't try to represent yourself as a seasoned breeder. Just be upfront with potential buyers and you won't have to look over your shoulder worrying about your reputation.

As for this particular case, you may as well suck it up and move on. You messed up in more ways than one. Don't be bitter with the people on the BOI, as you yourself admitted that it all looked suspicious. Just learn from the feedback you've received and DO BUSINESS HONESTLY!!! Your reputation will eventually get better as long as you do right by everyone.

You very well could be right, David. If so, it hasn't taken long for him to be exposed so that people can steer clear of him. Either case, I don't think he's going to get much business for awhile. Certainly not from me.

Rambling on the 50%ers

Several sellers state in their ads that the cheapest way to get into morphs is buying the 50%ers they post for sale. In my opinion this is far from the truth. Buying a 50% possible from a reputable breeder it’s a gamble where you have similar chances to succeed than to fail. Buying from a non-reputable source is like trying to obtain heads by tossing a two-tailed trick coin. Paperwork provided for 50%ers is meaningless when you don’t trust the source. What you are provided with is with a statement that says that the animal you buy will produce normal offspring when bred to another one. That paperwork is not protecting the buyer but the seller from any potential claim. Back to my first statement then, yes starting with 50%ers (when they are fake) is the cheapest way to get into morphs not for the buyer, but for the seller. Just imagine selling $10 normal baby male ball pythons for “just” $100 when they suddenly turn into possible 50%ers for a certain morph. That will give him enough cash to be able to buy his first 100% hetero from a reputable source (he knows he has to go that route to succeed) and start from scratch. In another thread here and in the General Business Discussions there another seller who has been selling 50%ers left and right. Not even one 100% for sale or one picture of his 100% heterozygous stating a verifiable origin on their web page. A few months ago that person also did not have a clue on what genetics was all about. But it didn’t take that long to learn that 50%ers are worth at least 10 times as much as normal babies and that there’s no recourse at all by the buyer. This person went even one step further to ensure complete non-accountability…the “paperwork” for the animals was lost in a computer crash. The seller doesn’t even have to go through the trouble of producing paperwork! That’s probably understandable as it’s very hard to reproduce something you have never seen, and don’t even know what it looks like. Priceless!

OK let me first start with a answer to this question, We go by What Sam says out of the respect He deserves... We are a tight nit Community and we watch out for each other..Secondly I breed Boas and I know for a fact any chain Pet Store does not buy from the off the street breeder, they have their own suppliers.....So for you to say you sold these to a chain store is B.S And Now for the Juicy part of this.....I just got of the phone With a Rick Singer he is the manager Of Petland In Baton Rogue La.....He told me in the last 3 months the only Ball Pythons{5] purchased was from a friend of{female} an employee And they were NORMALS they wouldnt give the name of this persons name but It wasnt you unless your a female I see you sinking fast here...... :hot:

... Also strange that he was asking rather basic questions not earlier than the 10th of June... So he must have already been breeding before then... But asking about sperm plugs and racks and sexing and getting WCs to eat after that?
