In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Your too generous. The neck was stretched long ago as far as I am concerned.

Once a liar always a liar. I hate looking at people that way but if the shoe fits...............

Well Steven,We really do hate to see you go...."NOT" ....But keep one thing in mind as you travel down that road to fame and glory{in your own mind}That no matter where you go in this hobby This Thread will haunt you..no matter what you try sell, even if I find you selling fish food or what not, I will as others I'm sure will direct any potential customer here and if someone does slip through the cracks let it be upon them, I for one wont be kind when its all said and done....So in closing See Ya don't wanna be ya.... :toiletcla

Well stephen, here we are. The end of the trail.

IF, and it's a big if at this point, you prove all you've asserted THEN all will be well.

IF you are unable to do that, for whatever reason, you have TWO options:
1) Come clean. Tell the truth, the whole truth and back it up. IF you do this you CAN salvage your reputation. Even now.
2) Keep on keepin' on as you are. IF you do that the swirling you feel will continue to increase until it eventually whirls you right down the pipe with the rest of the crap.

I would HIGHLY recommend, regardless of the difficulty, that you go with #1.

You DO still have a chance but you need to do something now if you care about what people think of you.

Well, looks like something new to add here.

I bought on LTC female ball python off from Reptibid.....screen name brherper. After the sale, I find out the name......Steven Fisher. Everything SEEMED ok....have been emailing back and forth about ship dates. Then this morning, I see the SAME SNAKE re-listed on Reptibid "due to a deadbeat bidder"!!! She was paid for HOURS after the auction closed with Paypal, I got my Paypal receipt AND an acknowledgement email from him, as well as an email JUST THIS MORNING setting up shipping for this Wednesday!!!!

To top it all off......I tried to post in the Q&A of the auction, to ask WTF is going on.....and as I'm typing, someone uses the "buy it now" and BUYS HER!!!!!!

I am SO upset right now.......going to see if I can take care of this thru Paypal...unbelieveable....

Seems like Reptibid is the place to stay away from, ever other day it seems there's a new thread on how some scumbag has burned someone using this site.

I think the key to working with Reptile Auction (formerly Reptibid), is to pay attention to the feedback and ask the proper questions.

There are some well-established and well-respected vendors there.

The problem is that there are no safeguards in place. Anyone can sign up for an account as often as they like. If you stick with the people you know, or those that can be easily checked out here at Fauna, there are some great deals to be had.

So we have yet another weasel who subscribes to the "Sal Tornambene School of Business Ethics". When enough crap attaches itself to the name you are currently using.....make up another one.

Just once I would like to see one of these guys start doing business under an honest and representative name oohh like...

Scumbag Reptiles

or

Ripoff Herps.

At least it would be refreshingly honest

Cathy,

Did you notify Repti Mart?

Regards.

Well........he DID contact me, after my sending a couple of pretty freaked out emails. He apologized, and said he will be shipping her tomorrow, said it was all a mistake and posted the ad again by mistake. I had given him 24 hours to either ship the CORRECT snake, or a refund, he said he would ship her right away tomorrow, so we'll see if I receive a tracking number or not....

Perhaps I jumped the gun, perhaps not....I guess we'll just have to wait til tomorrow to see. I'm one of those people (idiots, maybe?) that always likes to believe the best in people.... *sigh*

Incidentally, this is the first time I've had any trouble from Reptibid personally, but I've always been a very careful shopper. He has nothing but positive feedback under this name. There's a lot of flat out scammers on there, but usually it doesn't take a genius to figure them out, lol....but I guess some of them are just that good (or bad, as the case may be). A person has to be so dang paranoid in this business, I hate it.

I'll let y'all know as soon as I know anything one way or the other.

Thanks, guys. :)

Cathy,

From past experience I have learned to be a little skeptic of Reptibid's feedback. ;)

Regards.

Update....

Well, I must say I think I DID jump the gun on this one.....after what I saw here and with the relist on Reptibid, I went into "panic mode".

Steven explained to me that he was meaning to re-list another Ball Python (which indeed was re-listed after it hadn't sold), and he made good on my purchase. He was very apologetic and concerned, especially when UPS had a screw-up with shipping and she ended up spending an extra day in shipping (which I checked out, it was no fault of Steven's). He even guaranteed me that he would refund my money if she arrived DOA, since we had a VERY cold front move in last night, and he kept in constant contact with me until we found her, got her here, and made sure she was doing OK. She was pretty cold when she arrived, but I will say she was very well packed, and the heat pack was still slightly warm....but figuring the temps have plummeted to single digits here, I couldn't expect much more. She has warmed up nicely, and so far seems no worse for the journey, though I will be keeping a VERY close eye on her for any complications.

That all said, in my opinion, Steven may be a guy well worth giving a second chance....he seems to be to be really making an effort to turn things around, learn from his mistakes, and do things the way they should be done. :)

He said he has had her for about 2 years....she does look very healthy, no visible scars or parasites, and very handleable.

I plan on having her sexed this weekend....just to be on the safe side. ;)

Hey what do you know, that may be the same female that was promised to us back in early November on a trade Steven Fischer arranged HIMSELF and never followed up on. All I know is last I heard Pat told me he had arranged a trade with a Steve Fischer back in early November and the date this person said he would ship came and went. Nothing. A month later.....today actually, he was contacted and he stated he traded the animal. How ironic, he traded an animal that was already involved in a trade and pending shipment!

This guy is a typical "Dead-Beat-BidderTrader"

Avoid at all costs!

All copies of correspondence available upon request for those looking to research this individual before a transaction, I urge you to stay quite clear of this individual, you will be wasting your valuable time!
