In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Xtreme Reptiles.com

Im happy she posted my last email to her, as anyone with an elementary school education can see there are 2 questions in my email!!! No where do I see where I said I would do nothing for her.... Its plain and simple, she didnt inform us that anything else happened afterwards, for all I know they could have been perfectly fine and breeding by now... You cannot expect someone to remedy a problem they are not aware of.. So dont go mouthing off when its your own fault for not asking for any further help or compensation...

Attatchment contains shipping info from FedEx. I recieved the December Turtle on the 7th-shipment was sent out by xtreme on the 6th. I emailed xtreme about on the 12th of december (a legal 5 days) regarding the new turtle health. The option he gave me has already been posted.

Xtreme just blew me off, thats the option they gave me. I believe in my opinion the response i got from them was suggesting my turtles he is sending me are suddenly getting sick.

He seems to throw the word "liar" around pretty easily. Thats suppose to be a professional? Maybe because im not a petshop, or vender, dealer or breeder, I didnt get the quality of turtle that I assumed I would get. ?(Like one that would live longer than a few days). What does it matter if im not a large purchaser, or repeat customer?

Im just an average american consumer, whom he seems to want to use as an example, as to why he doesnt want to deal with the individual public. Could this attitude be the reason why I ended up with such ill stock in the first place?

from what ive read throughout these threads, most people only want promotional information, or everyone gets defensive and makes fun of ya. well in the real world bad deals happen, and this is one of them.

For people like me Its a Buyer beware Situation with these People.

We've recieved torts and turtles from Alfredo @ Xtreme on numerous occasions, all were in perfect condition. I find it REALLY hard to believe they were ill and dehydrated, and even if you recieved one ill animal, after replacing it I find it hard to believe the replacement was ill as well. I for one would have made this customer preserve and return the specimen that perished before honoring any guarantee. You could have easily been taken by this individual Alfredo. Sounds to me like a scam..... With the amount of specimens sent to numerous customers the odds of this happening twice are simply impossible. If they did in fact perish, it was due to improper husbandry by the customer IMO. Did the customer ever notifty or seek the assistance of a Vet or simply watch the animal die in thier care?? Something is just not right, obviously, and I find it amazing that someone would even try to blame something as ridiculous as this on Alfredo and Xtreme. A good majority of us know the odds of this happening, especially when dealing with the quanity Xtreme does. If thier stock was ill more customers would have experienced the same problem. They did not, therefore I'm pulling out the "BS" card on this one.........

Ronda - Now your just making yourself look like a fool. Why don't you answer the questions and see if someone can help you:

Tackyturtle - tell us what you did with them upon receipt, and how you had the turtles set up - what size tank, type of lighting, temperatures and what is in the tank (type of bedding, water etc?) ? Was water in a bowl or how did you have the water?

Also - What other types of turtles do you currently keep?

Alfredo A in my book

I have dealt with a fair amount of herps and people in the industry in my short time involved in the trade . I have recieved many shipments this year from Alfredo with but one problem, which was taken care of the day it occurd. He is one of the best shippers, nicest animals best prices around kind of guy. This is only a few people on this threat who disagree. with a large amount of people like myself that really respect and enjoy alfredos dealings i think the people who dont are just out to cause trouble. Any one again like alfredo said with a elamentry educational can figure that one out come on guy

Just like jon cheris asked, why doesnt she answer the questions asked of her? By myself and Jon? Simple she obviously didnt want any help, remedy and or compensation from us... She made up her mind and made a choice to simply write it off instead of requesting some form of compensation... If she would have,it would have been a refund for $49 as I would have not sent another replacement turtle like we did once before... I have learned over the years, there are some people who will never be satisfied no matter what you do... That is what makes us all different, to each his own and I have no problems with that... Having a few unhappy customers is only part of any average size business... What needs to be said has been said, all the facts are correct in the eyes of each side and point of view... Theres no right or wrong on this issue just different points of view so we should just leave it at that... Both parties have their views

Alfredo Veloso

Sincerely

Refund

And to put a Nail in the coffin of this issue I gave her the $49 refund she never requested

this is absurd,,,,

I have been following this thread,, and it is quite amazing,, I am from the "good old days" when you ordered from a pricelist that was mailed to you,, and you had the 100% understanding that "wholesale" meant wholesale!
you got what you got! some good, some not so good,, and that was the trade off for buying at lower prices that retail! if you had asked a wholesaler a few years ago to send you pictures of an animal they had on their list,, you could not hear yourself think, over the laughing they were doing on the other end of the phone! I mean have you been to a wholesaler.? They usually have 300 orders to go out a day,,( or more) they are making boxes,, geting animals in snake bags, trying to fill the orders, Taking new orders, getting in new shipments, cleaning enclosures, feeding everyone, handling compalints, making sure funds are there before they ship out, and countless other things that have to be done everyday to get the animals out on time and to the right customers,, IF a wholesaler is willing to take one picture of any animal,, at all ,,, it would be a gift,,, not a right for a guy to expect who is ordering a couple hundred dollar order,,,( don't feel slighted by them not taking pics of the animals you are requesting,, hell that exact animal may go in a snake bag in 10 minutes sold to someone else,,,, ) i mean come on,, go buy from a retailer,,,
Second,, Alfredo does give a 5 day health guarantee which up until now has been unheard of for a wholesaler! I see Extreme and Alfredo as a good guy doing what he can to provide the best animals he can,, at the best prices he can,, and good customer service to boot,,, Lastly a 5 day warranty,,, anyone who can't see that as a heck of a deal from a wholesaler,, should have their head examined,,,,!
I sell some wholesale dragons a couple of times a year,,, and they are what the name implies "wholesale" when i list a 100 lot of dragons wholesale,, their are no pics,, and i am not gonna take pics of 100 babies for one sale,,, to time consuming... but the price reflects the wholesale status,,,

If everyone had to order from a pricelist with no pics,, no descriptions like the old days,, you would appreciate the steps someone like Alfredo is doing to make the wholesale world more user friendly,, But to come on here and question this company and this mans reputation for not sending a picture is the damn dumbest thing i have ever heard! go to reptibid and find you a "deal" with a picture,,,

Alfredo,,, You are doing it right,,, You are a good example of how a wholesale company is suppose to work,, and some of us to appreciate hwo your company works,,and what you are trying to do,,,,

Lastly,,, have you noticed the guy who spends the least always screams the loudest,,,?

I can't believe Alfredo has dealt with the gen public this long, I would have expected him to go wholesale only years ago with some sort of minimum order requirements. I myself am rather small at this point and do offer pics of every animal I sell.....I do consider myself a retail outlet however, not a wholesaler. As my inventory grows I will probably only take pics of the higher end stock as Chris J above has mentioned. This isn't because of a lack of desire to help the customer, just a lack of time. To take an animal out of it's habitat, setup my photo area, take a few pics, adjust them for accurate coloration, crop/resize them, and email them off to the customer or upload them to my site might take 30 mins or so PER ANIMAL. When I have more stock on hand I will probably just wholesale out the less colorful 50% or so just to avoid taking pics or offer some of my animals up sight unseen at a reduced cost. Taking pics is overhead and I will gladly cut the price if I don't have to take a pic.

i havent read this hole thread but i wanted to add my thoughts about Xtreme Reptiles.com.

we have ordered from them several times....just got a order from them this week. i have always been happy with what i have gotten from them. and will buy from them again. the people are always nice when u call.

Alfredo @ Extreme Reptiles

Just purchased a 20 lot group of w/c snakes from Al@ Extreme.18 OF THEM FEEDING ALREADY.The first group of 10 were outstanding. The second group of 10 was mostly in shed as he made perfectly clear when selling them to me.Gave me an additional free one with a clear case of nose rub(not life threatening ;) A couple thousand $$ later,he still wants to make sure the non-feeders are doing OK before we settle the balance.SOUNDS LIKE CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ME,DOESNT IT  Al,you will always have my business. When dealing with w/c it doesn't get any better than that.

Um, Tackyturtle, what is that Fedex "receipt" supposed to prove? Looks like you made your own receipt or a lot of image editing in photoshop.

I'd like to know if there was any resolution yet on the situation in this thread:

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63456

For those who haven't seen it, the thread above was moved to General Business Discussions b/c the original poster (Mickey Hinkle) didn't mention names, only asked for opinions on the situation, so it didn't qualify as a BOI thread. However, Xtreme/Alfredo posted in the thread and identified himself as the other side of the transaction, and there was some discussion that IS BOI material that ensued afterward.

I keep seeing questions about xtreme and never state my opinion, so here it goes. I think i have gotten healthier mites from them than animals. One of my orders were sent to the wrong city, i had to drive two hours to recieve my snakes. On another order the snakes never even left florida, i did not recieve them until 3 days after my order was placed. When my animals came in they were in bad shape. Not just from sitting in the warehouse as long as they did, they were underfed and dehydrated. One of the monitors i recieved looked like it had been dead for a week. I called them and got credit for the monitor and decided to give them one last try. Turns out the new monitor they sent me was in just as bad of shape as the first one. Not only that one of the snakes in the box looked like a dog chewed on it for awhile and its spine looked snapped. Out of all of the animals i recieved from xtreme about 25% came in healthy, the rest either were dead or close to death. I have never seen so many mites and ticks in my life. I know there dealing with wild caught animals and there are going to be some mites and ticks, but good lord. I had to keep the order outside until i took care of the problem. I tried talking to alfredo about all the problems i was having with the company and he seemed like he could care less. i dont really agree with alot of the bashing that goes on in these threads, but i felt this was worth telling. I ordered 4 different times and was done wrong each time. I would love to be able to purchase from them, there prices are great. I just never know what i am going to get. thanks Branden Charles. :2gunsfiri

Im happy she posted my last email to her, as anyone with an elementary school education can see there are 2 questions in my email!!!

Quote from email:

"I do not understand the reason for yours to be getting ill? we have sent out over 100 in the last 6 weeks and other than the 3 that fed ex froze in shipping non others have died?"

I think that anyone with an elementary school education should be able to see that there are actually two statements in the email that are incorrectly puncuated with question marks. A question would be something like: "What symptoms did the turtle have before it died?", "How did you have the turtle set up?" or "Did you take the turtle to a vet?". Those are questions, what was written in that email were not.

I am not saying that Xtreme was right or wrong here, I am just pointing out that I can see how the customer may have thought she was being blown off. That does not mean that Xtreme would not have done something for her necessarily. I personally would have pursued the matter further, not sure why she did not. Maybe there is a reason why that only she is aware of, who knows.

Last time we received over 300 animals from Xtreme and many of them was WC, not 1 tick not 1 mite in any of the boxes.
Superb packing job as it should be.

We are an overseas customer of Xtremes and very happy with their quality.

Untill Alfredo and Xtreme reptiles prooves anything else we will buy from them with no hesitation at all.

Before I used come on here and disprove any lie, or misrepresentation of any inceident concerning me or my company... Not going to waste my energy anymore... Everyone has their opinion, I dont need anyone elses to know I do my best for my customers... Hey ricky (copenhagen) this new permit system in washington sucks, I think they take all the time in the world to do these damn permits..
