Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yaz and I reached an agreement last night that sits well with both of us. Yas, thank you for putting an end to this. I still believe you had no idea this boa was sick in anyway.

Dean, I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am glad that no human lives were lost but I know you are still having to deal with a lot. I thank you for spending your personal time helping to bring a resolution to this issue.

I hope this BOI thread is the last one I ever have to be a part of! :yesnod:

I will add that I am glad that it is here and I think this whole process serves as an example as to why such a forum is needed.

I am glad I was able to help. You two are decent people and made it really easy for me to get right in the middle to solve the problem.

Thank you for your thoughts. Most importantly, everyone is alive and the end of the day, thats what truly matters. We can replace, rebuild, whatever we need to do. I thank Fauna, the BOI, and the members here for giving me a break from thinking about the damage and the loss.
 
Just so everyone knows Yaz sent a partial refund and is pending in my paypal account. I will let everyone know when it clears.
 
So can you explain why the vet said it was "possibly female"? I still would like to know why if he was dissecting it, he needed to wait for additional testing? Don't Boas have hemipenes? Was it something weird?

I am also wondering that as well. I thought gender would be easy to tell and not need any testing at all and be listed in the preliminary report. No idea whats going on at this pont.

However, David and I agreed on a refund last night so I sent it to him last night even though the final report isnt available yet. I wanted to make him happy with the situation because its just getting out of hand for the both of us so I sent the refund before finding out the cause of death.

David said he will email me the final report when he gets it. So at that point I'll see the cause of death and whats going on as far as his gender goes. This is just a very weird situation for everyone right now.
 
As long as both parties are happy, it shouldn't matter. However, knowing what went on in this thread, and the accusations that were made as well as the promises that were made, anything less than a full refund seems insufficient. For me, not knowing the refund amount is enough to steer me away from doing business with Yaz. I would hate to go through what David went through and end up still losing money.
 
As long as the two participants are happy, then the deal is done. None of us lost money or a snake in this deal.

I personally think from the prelim report, the full amount should be returned, but as long as he's happy with whatever refund he got, then that's all that matters.

Still wondering how a accredited vet can't tell if it's female or male when they're dissecting it. That's so bizarre it's stuck in my head.

Yep, that's right. None of our business. David came here for support, and he got that. He wanted a refund, he got that too. Case closed IMO. He made it clear he came here reluctantly.


Now if the unanswered question of the sex, or the circumstances of the deal don't sit well with anyone, then they are free to make a choice to either do business with Yaz, or not do business with him.

Is that not the intended purpose of the BOI? To make people aware, so they can make their own choice who to deal with? :shrug01:
