In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Yaz Mansour and the dead Boa

I think when you buy something of value it should be no different than any other contract you should at least get a Min of 3 days good faith like when buying a car or anything else
If its not right or dies in that 72 hour Period from Posesion it should always fall back on the seller! Sorry just my Opinion (What happend to good ole customer service and standing behind your Product) I hate to say it Yaz but this will haunt you for a long time.
Well sometimes its easier to just bite the Bullet!

So what happens if the animal dies due something I as the buyer did? The seller has responsibility to return my money???

I agree with Jess's comment both parties should have waited for final report to decided what amount would have be an adequate. Unfortunately, some people did not see that.

Well if a animal dies in 3 days it was a Week specimen to begin with!
You would have to have some pretty Brutal Husbandry methods to kill a Healthy snake that fast, sorry!

I will also say this, if I knew David could get it done for $60 or $65 I would have told him to go get it done. I didnt know that it was NEARLY that cheap until after he dropped the snake off and told me. I knew that my vet would charge a couple hundred to have a necropsy done so thats what I was basing my statement of David to not get one. I also called my vet to ask how much that exact snake would be to have a necropsy done and they stated $237. I wouldnt have told David to get one if it was that expensive thats why I told him to not get one.

When he originally told you he was getting a necropsy, who did you think would be paying for it? Did you assume that if it came back that it was something pre-existing that you would be asked to pay it? Is that why you didn't want it done? Did you see the $390 turn into $627 and say "I wouldn't get it if I were you?" Then when you found it it was cheaper, and he was paying for it anyway it was a good idea?

Sadly, it happens more often than you'd think. There are a lot of people that are either very new and didn't bother to do the research until after they've already f^(%3& up, or have always just been grossly mis-informed on proper care, or just flat out don't care period because it's "just an animal" to them.

Im not disputing that but we are talking about a reputable member with good Morals and IM sure Top notch Husbandry skills.I feel you have to stand by your product and not look for any loopholes to get out of it it is still a verbal contract and could be held up in court for a simiular 3 day grace period, depending on the states

I think the Saddest thing in the End is that a guy paid 395.00+ to have a Boa For a couple days wich would make any of us Madd as hell!
I would hate to think how much further this thread would have went without this Autopsy?

The saddest thing in the end is the boa is dead.

Yaz and David have come to an agreement, with or without the final report and with or without a full refund before the report. It is resolved as far as that is concerned. Yaz has stated when the necropsy (animal's don't get autopsies) report comes out, if it shows he is at fault, he will issue the remainder of the refund.

That should be the end of it. No one needs to be on here trying to rile him up again just because you feel -you- do not have closure. That is irrelevant. If you think this shows you should not do business with Yaz then don't do business with Yaz. There is no need to drag this out any longer. It is becoming childish and obnoxious.

Yaz and David put it to rest and are waiting for the full report, everyone else should be too.

Also, I wish people would stop comparing this business to being a car salesmen. We are dealing with animals here, living creatures. The terms for selling and buying them are vastly different as a variety of factors can cause issues. Dealing with live animals is unlike selling or buying anything else. There is no amount of inanimate objects you can accurately compare it to.

It is unfortunate what happened, but it is what it is and little more. Things happen. It is obvious Yaz did not knowingly sell a sick animal. It is obvious the buyer did not cause harm to it by being irresponsible. It is sad, yes, it is frustrating it took what it did to get resolved, but it is resolved between the people that matter; the buyer and the seller. Just leave it alone.

Shawn, that wasn't aimed at you specifically, I should have clarified that. I was just quoting what you said, but stating that to everyone as a whole.

Your a Funny Guy well quit postin then!

Yes, and in a perfect world all conflict would be resolved in five minutes. That is not how it happens, but it is resolved. That aside, it was several pages back too.

What will happen in the future is important to potential buyers. I am happy the op and seller have closure. Potential customers will want the full story as well.

The BOI may help lots of personal disputes but once its brought here it becomes more than just between the two. Potential customers are going to want to know the answer to the questions. The ones that get this far in the thread are still asking the same questions. IMO it is in the best interest of Yaz to get it all out there.

I know I would like to know

Diem, thank you. By the way it wouldnt have taken this many pages if people werent jumping at me for stating what I think. I had my reasons so leave it alone.

Free snakes will be posted in the near future, for the ones who jumped the gun and said they wouldnt do business with me, dont inquire about them, you wont get them as I wont do business with you either. I'm a good guy with healthy animals, Ive done many deals and they've all gone great with no problems so you'll be missing out now. These animals will be free to show everyone my animals are healthy and I'm a great guy to do business with AND to chat. I still chat on a regular basis with a lot of my past customers. Be on the look out.

For the ones who are local or planning to come to Florida for vacation this summer, stop by Orlando for free drinks on me! I have tons of VIP capability too so I will make it worth your time! Maybe some free theme park tickets? I'll make it happen! ;)

Shadera, it's all good, no worries. :D You are more than welcome to have one when I post some up if you'd like. Just wanting to get everyone happy again lol!

Perhaps you could SELL at least one of those and give David a FULL refund!

Once the final report comes out he will get the rest of the amount to make it the full refund, no problem.

Well, I just got off of the phone with the DVM and I learned a lot. They did find infection in the lung as the preliminary report indicated but most importantly (to this case at least) is that they found the infection in the spleen and liver. They believe there was an underlying virus involved and that the stress of the move brought it out. It was stressed that this is not inclusion body disease and not an adenovirus. To do further studies(like PCR) to try and figure it out starts to costs hundreds of dollars and I am backing away at this point. Even though the biologist in me wants to know, I am ready to move on.

The DVM did state that they have an oviduct and an ovum on a slide and that this snake was indeed a female.

They are re-culturing the lung tissue again as they are hoping to learn a little more. This re-culturing takes 48 hours so we may or may not have a hard copy by tomorrow. I will post it just as soon as I get it.

I think this closes the case. Yaz, I do hope the best for the rest of the snakes in your collection. Pulling that beautiful dead boa out of the enclosure last Friday was painful to say the least.
