    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I deal with the scum society doesnt want to on a daily basis... I dont trust anyone either and Im sure gonna require facts... I sure as :censored: aint a liar.... so before you start throwing that net... you may want to target your fish a little better... cause your liable to net a shark in the process.
 
I have been following this post and a question came up in my mind when i saw it was a female, is it possible that a snake can carry both sex organs i know in some species it is what if this snake had some type of genetic deformity, like they have found female ovaries in males in humans it is not common but it does occur. What do you think?

And yes, your point that the male is not truly proven until those babies are on the ground I will agree with, but it seems that in every post you make you have a very hard time making any point without basically yelling, screaming and name calling(as much as it is possible to do so on a forum of course), rather than calmly and rationally explaining your side of things and how you've come to your conclusions.
It's these anger filled posts that leave us 10+ extra pages of back and forth argumentation to wade through on a thread that aren't needed. So please, try to just tone it down a bit, calm down, something, but the way you're making your posts isn't solving anything or even getting you any of the answers you are attempting to get.

I have been following this thread and I have one question. If his female drops eggs and the vet report says it is female then what? Did the vet mess up? If the snake was prooved out in the past and this year you can throw away the arguement the female got pregnant by herself.

This issue will be interesting to say the least. I am curious as to see if the boa has viable babies and if so, what the vet would have to say. Now, I have spoken to Yaz on the phone personally prior to the refund and he has his thoughts on the matter. But, as far as I am concerned, Yaz did make his customer satisfied with the refund. What happens now is completely up to them.

Well, if his boa drops eggs then that would really be a mystery; they don't lay eggs. ;)
 
I want to let everyone know that Yaz did step up and give me a complete refund for the boa. I promised the final report from the lab and I received it today. Here it is....

There it is Yaz. Things happen with exotics that we only "think" we understand. The animal was sick already, and the wrong sex.

You did the right thing by giving a full refund. :thumbsup:
 
Good job making right Yaz. It sucks how good snakes can be at hiding things.

It still says possibly female?! Yaz, can you contact the person you got it from? You deserve an answer from your seller.

I'll try to find the number. It was off a guy locally so its not like I got paperwork/business card, etc. I dont think he would have lied to me, he didnt have any other snakes and these were the only ones he had. I can understand how the boa was hiding the illness but the sex of the snake has thrown me off balance completely. I'm purely shocked. That snake had spurs the size of texas. lol?? I suppose that female wrapped tails with another girl I guess and now this girl is gravid. I dont think it would have been sperm retention so maybe she firtilized herself? I'll keep everyone posted on her pregnancy. I would take her to a vet but I dont want to be moving her around like that when she should be dropping soon.

The full refund was the right thing to do, and I kept my word.
 
Is it possible for a female to have large spurs and probe male but then be a female based on the internal reproductive organs? :shrug01: ?

Probing with boas is not all that accurate, and apparently sometimes visual sexing wasn't working with your girl either. I would be curious if they had looked into the tail and found hemipenes, it could be possible that it was hermaphroditic.

Hermaphrodites are rare but they do exist.

Did they cut to the vent or all the way down?

If they only cut to the vent & it was carrying both organs the hemipenes could have been missed since they're stored in the tail?

Ding ding ding, exactly right and precisely what I was thinking about not cutting past the vent. It would explain a lot in this situation.
