Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Yewaredrawlin (Dan Costello?) stealing pics - scammer

Em, I think snakewrangler misread your first post up there, and thought you were planning to contact your police department or whatever about FAUNA, and not about the scammer. Yes, it sucks that you got scammed. I got scammed a few years back for $600, but it led me to this site, so I chalk it up to a loss, and i'm kinda happy I found this site in the process.

I would definitely contact his local PD, IC3 for sure, and whoever else might have authority to lock this idiot up.

That is how I found fauna.. I got scammed. Found out if I would have just searched the guy on here, I would have known..

and I saw the guy in person, saw his house and every thing.

Oh no, I didn't contact the PD about Fuana... :p I was attempting to get in contact with his local PD, but they sent me back to my local PD that I am now waiting to hear from! :(

One more thing I forgot to mention... I would have still owed him money. He agreed to letting me send just enough to pay him for the shipping and then late in the week I would send him the rest of the money. I figured if he trusted me to keep up my end of the deal, I could trust him as well.

I just got done filing a report with IC3... I am doing whatever I can. You can be sure of that. :)

I 'm sorry to hear about all that Em ( Em is a friend from another site). I hope you recover your money. Faunaclassifieds has saved me from making bad deals more than a few times. The problem with these scammers is that they do act like "good guys" until they get their money.
A couple of things about this particular scumbag chump...it appears that Dan Costello may be his real name, see most thieves are thieves because they tend to have two common traits: stupidity and laziness and that is what gets them caught.
He also probably doesn't realize that by scamming people across state lines that this is now likely to be a Federal offense, got that Dan you turd? the FBI may now be involved.
Finally I worked in a prison for many years and judging from the pic of Danny he looks like a wee lil guy, I can assure that wee lil guys do NOT fare well in prison.

Yes, that's how I interpreted the language. I thought that you were reporting Fauna to the police and not the scammer. Sorry for the mixup.

I think that sometimes it may be better to let the "perp"s continue post here after they're known scumbags.
See scumbags are again lazy and stupid and have a hard time keeping their lies straight. How many times has a scammer come here to "defend" themselves and just dug the hole deeper with more and more BS until there is/was NO DOUBT what type of character they are/ were?
I believe this may be Fauna's unwritten "Give'em enough rope" policy.

I'm glad you caught it and didn't send him your money.

I'm still waiting to hear back about all of this myself. Paypal has been tied up with Western Union now for weeks. Hopefully I can get a refund, if not. I'm out $120.

twice now there has been attempts by this guy to recieve money for my ads. He's e-mailing people and saying that he's me and that "he'll take that deal" Dpizier posted about the hybrid tegu he contacted him about which is mine and another member was contacted about the hybrid tegu also.
 
Quick lesson here: Western Union. If anyone requests and/or requires Western Union, it's probably a scam.

I typically just rely on gut instinct. If it sounds fishy, it probably is. And most of the time (after I've checked here on Fauna), I'm right. So trust your gut: someone magically knowing what kind of cat/snake/lizard/etc. you're looking for e-mails you out of the blue with exactly what you want? Smells like FISH. ;-]
