    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Alright now... Just a question for those who managed to see the post and on this I invite any and all replies, critical, supportive- whatever...

Was I out of line or did I violate KS's TOS in any manner?

Was I harassing their boards or trolling around looking to cause problems?

Was my post unreasonable in it's wording or content?

I did save a copy as a word doccument so I can re-post it here or forward it to anyone who would like a copy but before I do I'd kind of like a response from those who had read the threads that were on there when I posted and my own (I also didn't stick around looking for responses on KS, I had things to do) who could let me know how it went and what they thought.

Lastly, am I supposed to get some kind of confirmation letter explaining why a removed post was removed?
 
I read your post and thought it was very good. You gave everyone the truth without getting out of line. Just goes to show you what Jeff is willing to hide. As soon as I saw the post I had to put it up on the BOI. I knew it was not going to last for long. It doesn't matter if you are reasonable, you HAVE TO AGREE with Jeff B.

Since the main theme of that post was about MK then your post fit, granted you do not frequent that site, but in your letter though most pertained to other animals there were some reference to iguanas. So I would say you were in all bounds to write your post in response. I believe that they are allowed to develope their own interests, but I believe they infringed on yours and everyone elses right as well.
Sorry, mind is still lost at the childness and lack of own confidence or the confidence of those on their forum. The sad thing is there will be no ramifications of this until someone steps up and really makes some competition for them.
I am glad now that this forum has started. So thank you.

What does rather tick me off is someone pasting Web Slaves post there and it appears that person is NOT Web Slave. I just can't see Rich suddenly hiding behind a screen name, he's no coward like me and my screen name!! (JM stands for JustMe!) I sure hope Rich doesn't mind being embroiled in all of this mess again, as whoever that was has certainly dumped him right in the middle. Surely you don't have enough MeloDrama in your life right now, right Rich!!

Also sorry that I missed that thread, but truth be known, today was mine and my wife's (Connie) 25th wedding anniversary and we spent most of the afternoon goofing off up in town.

Sounds like I missed something interesting, however.

BTW, I have decided that I will NOT restrict the mention of kingsnake.com or Jeff Barringer on my site. Actually, I never did implement that. Must have slipped my mind as I had more important things to think about.

I am confident enough in the manner in which I run my site that I don't feel the need to do such things anyway.

I read your post before it was removed and I saw nothing wrong. It was on topic and not childish in the least(unlike many of the others there). Very well worded and nonconfrontational as usual, Seamus. I see no reason for it to have been removed other than it showed flaws in what Melissa Kaplan sells as proper information. Apparently that is now a TOS violation. Which I find funny because about three years ago I was in a disagreement with someone on the gecko forum regarding reptile euthanasia. My view differed very much from Ms. Kaplan's(which was being quoted as fact by the person I was arguing with). My posts weren't removed or censored then. But I guess the moderators have gotten stricter since then regarding Melissa Kaplan disagreement infractions?

However, not to fully back or disagree with either side here, I CAN kind of see how the thread had troll written all over it. But on the other hand, I could see it as a valid question regarding the accuracy of a respected "authority" in the reptile industry. Too bad we won't know who that was though... Darn the lack of actual NAMES over there.

And Rich, congrats on the 25th Anniversary buddy!!! And just so I can ask a stupid question...What in God's NAME were you DOING even THINKING about the computer tonight, huh? ;)

Thanks for the affirmation, to be honest I only reccently re-registered to post on KS and I haven't even read the revised TOS agreement, I just figured that being fairly respectful and not mentioning fauna would keep it acceptable.

Congratulations Rich, no matter what happens, beeping noises, sparks and flame, sprouting wheels and wandering around like R2D2, stay away from the computer, we'll see you next week.
 
I think over there they delete complete threads or sometimes when they delete a thread they also remove all sub-posts. I remember when they banned a person last month on the bearded dragon forum his posts disappeared and any replies to his post (one of which was mine, the reason I noted it).

Usually any post with a little fore thought and logic is ignored anyhoo. :D

Nobody used your name, but the originator of the thread in question cut and pasted one of your replies to Jason over there, with no preface or explanation.

Yes, I do remember that, I believe the guys name was Morpheus. I didn't think that they deleted the whole thread tho- but I could be wrong. I do know they deleted everything with his name on it, and when he tried to come back under another name that was deleted as well. Though I can't say as I missed him much.:)

You weren't even a part of the discussion at Kingsnake. His thread had no business there. And you can call me whiney but trouble maker describes what he was doing anyways. If you've got something better to call it then I'd like to here it.

I too like the iguana forum, and I too agree that the starting of that post was childish and made no sense. BUT the people who responded to it, either from this forum or KS were valid. And as we live here in a land of freedom of speech I do not think it should have been deleted, as it was informative and interesting. Just because it started out insane doesn't mean it continued that pattern. The pattern went from stupid to what could have been a real good an informative discussion.
I would personally be in a place that would let me say what is on my mind or debate over something and hear different views. Unfortunately KS is the place that has the most people on the forums right now to talk to. But don't you think it would be nice to sometimes cut the nicety crap and just have a plain old informative debate without worry of being kicked off?????
