    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So was that photo in Lori's post deleted at the source? If so, how convenient that it was stored in kingsnakes's own photo gallery. Sure made that easy to do, now didn't it.

If someone would verify that, please let me know so I can delete that message now that it is useless up there.

It would actually be much easier to do as you have suggested. But what is easy is not necessarily right. I for one firmly believe what we are doing is the correct way. I do not believe in "airing dirty laundry". I do not believe holding someone up in front of the group and telling what they did wrong. You wouldn't want that done to you. And actually, this way is much more satisfying to the person who has been banned. He/she can privately tell you half truths and gain your sympathy and sit back and happily watch a large fuss being made over his/her ban. That's very satisfying to an ego. Particularily now that our stand has been made clear and he/she knows we will not publically tell what they did and hang them out to dry.

I can tell you, however, that anyone going thru the appeal process will be treated fairly and justly. We would much rather talk to the person about what they did wrong, have them understand it and invite them back. We feel we will have a better situation all the way around that way. Our intention is not to be rid of a person - it's just to get that particular action to stop. This is not always the case as some things will ban a person for life. However, a lot of bannings have the potential to be reversed.

When I tried to follow the link backwards to the source at kingsnake's photo gallery, it said that the photo did not exist. So, it appears either Lori deleted it herself, or someone helped her out with that at KS.

Did anyone ever see Muholland Drive ? There this one scene where a guy goes into another guys office, and shoots him. While he's trying to arrange the gun so it looks like a suicide, it goes off and shoots a lady through the wall. So he has to haul her in the office and finish her off so she can't be a witness. Right after that happens, the maid comes in, and he has to shoot HER, too. So he's got this pile of dead bodies when he just want to kill one guy. This came to mind when I was thinking about how KS deletes posts about deleted posts about the people who were banned and their posts deleted. When they delete posts and cover things up so readily, it really destroys trust. And trust is sadly a rare thing in this community. :kill:

GAWD NO!! I didn't delete that photo..it was not mine.. I linked into it from the properties of the photo in my post here. FYI>> I am a lead admin @ www.redtailboa.net [We got our domain back :D ] aka www.reptilehaven.net I store my pics ol at our site's photo albums which are not allowed to be linked through to ks cuz of the site name for rtb being in the properties of the link url ..per Jeff Barringer/ks from over a year ago. Found that out when I tried to help one of the breeders post a pic of some snakes he had for sale and photopoint was not working and all pics were coming through as nice piebalds hehe I had the pics with permission on my hd/album due to a write up I had done for him on our site. When I submitted the post I got a TOS violation warning from ks and post wouldn't go up with the pics on it at all. I stopped posting on that site at that time. The only reason I knew of the post that I linked here was that it was brought up on our site's chatroom and linked by another person. I have no use for visiting ks far as I am concerned, but I do follow links at times that go there that others throw my way. Like I said in my post that got deleted [ reasons I can see for it being done np..kinda useless without the pic in this screenshot huh??....

Arghh.. SORRY 'bout the HUGe pic oin that post above :( It didn't go that HUGE when i viewed it on the page it is stored on at all. I downsized it and sent a note to webslave to switch the urls out so that it is smaller than the one I originally posted.
Webslave..SORRY about that..was NOT my intention to do that at all.
 
Is it just me or is the whole kingsnake site down? I have tried favorates, searches which say page not found, then when I try to detect the network settings it cant?
 
I got on the main site a minute ago, but the forums were down.

I'm wondering if the new forums might be rolled out ahead of schedule, which would kill off all the old forums.... hmm...
 
I'm curious to know just how many accounts have been discontinued over there lately. Seems like quite a large number.
 
Funny thing about deleted posts

You guys are saying that posts regarded banned people and questioning the moderators are taken down in as little as 20 minutes. In the venomous forum, there's a post that's an obvious troll (it goes something like: u r all idiots, why do you keep things that can kill you) and it's been up there for at least 24 hours. Seems they're a lot more worried about KS looking good than actually keeping the forums clean. Also, this is probably in part because none of the moderators are 'hot' owners and probably stay away from that forum.

You can't possibly be suggesting that they avoid the forum because someone might ask them something they don't know the answer to, could you?

I mean, I know my best buddy Kaplan is more than capable of telling me what the most common inorganic ion is in crotaline venom by mass...

The implication that they're all a bunch of individuals who don't know anything outside of their narrow band of green iguana and leopard gecko pseudo-expertise is simply shocking.

Next you'll be telling me that they're a load of radical animal rights activists who want the pet trade halted!

In all seriousness though, thanks for providing additional proof of their rampant hypocrisies and lack of proper education. Every extra bit just adds more napalm to the fire and helps display it more obviously to people unaware of the issue. Good looking out.

No you don't Steve... you have actual expertise and experience, a knowledge and education that would warrant the terms if you chose to use 'em...

There's a biography page for the PH group of moderators over there and half of them may as well be saying "I have a bald pyfon anna eguanna anna waterdog, thats a fish dat turns into a lizerd.", which is a far cry from the experience and credibility you have worked to acchieve.
