Congrats, you guys are so smart! ChocolateBacon's post was one sent to me by my attorney, who has contacted Andrew Covert. IP addresses include mine and attorney's offices. He wanted to be able to access member information on here, which he can only do by being a registered member. Yes, lawyers are allowed to use dirty tricks. None of this is against the law. So where has Mr. Andrew B. Covert been? And mods, try sending Mr. Covert an email to the address has registered. Let me know if it's even a valid email address, then get back to me. He was all talk until my attorney contacted him, and now he's deleting email accounts and not returning any of my attorney's attempts to get a hold of him. He was so confident that I was a scammer, what would he have to hide? Why couldn't he stand firmly and insist the attorney wouldn't find him at fault for anything? Oh, maybe because we found out that he was advertising (and sold) the Nosy Be that I supposedly never sent to him, on craigslist. My attorney has managed to contact the person who purchased him from Andrew Covert, off of craigslist. He sent us the link and forwarded all email communications they have had. He insisted they meet for the sale of this nano mail for $400 on the Purdue University campus, where he's a student. We were able to contact Purdue's Admin office to confirm this. Now, he's got claims filed against him for libel, as well as dissemination of privileged information. Oddly enough, the craigslist link shows "the ad has been deleted by the poster" after my attorney attempted to contact Mr. Covert. Before that, the ad was still live. Even if he deleted the ad, we saved a copy of it, and it wouldn't be hard to contact craiglist's admin to find an ad placed within their system that is of the same posting ID, who the return email address is for, etc.
Speaking of which, Bray's Chameleons hasn't responded either. They were asked where I told them that they sent me sick and dying chameleons, that Andrew Covert has been telling others this, and that we'd like evidence of where this was said. They haven't replied. Why? Because it was never said. I made a comment as to how I must over feed my guys because theirs were the size of my 2 month olds. Literally, I have photos of the ones I got from them, which they claimed to be 4 months, when I first got them. They're unbelievably small for 4 months. But last I checked, calling them small does not translate to sick and dying...
We have been looking into filing claims against this site as well, but that's been easier said than done. Even if we know who the individual admins are, would they all be responsible? Or would the blame just fall on the site owner or manager? Mods, any ideas? We've tried emailing the webmaster's email account, but it seems to just be an automated account.
Anybody else who has decided to participate in acts of libel on here, please do not be surprised when you receive a notice to cut the poop from my attorney. I would likely not take any legal action against each and every member simply for defamation, but at least it would be an eye-opening enough experience for you to realize that it's easy to figure out who you are, and what your contact info is. You can continue to state that I'm making this all up. That's fine - we'll settle the rest in the courtroom. When Mr. Covert and I face off in court, how would the site like to be notified of the outcome, in a way in which you would believe the information?
It's so funny how these people talk like big guys, rambling off negative comments about someone without evidence, but once a real attorney for real legal ramifications are pushed into their face, they hide their tails between their legs and cower in the corner. Boo!
