• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Yuki Maeda Scam Fauna Name: (Sergei)

He left cuz of attorney contacting him.but was diffrent a torn name. He's good guy

If he never got the Chameleon he traded for why leave? If everything he posted is true he's not going to lose anything in court. How does he know it was even a real attorney that contacted him?

I received a private response from Andrew that satisfied my curiosity and confirmed what ibchams said. It's obvious at this point that "Sergei's" claims are bogus so Andrew has nothing to gain by adding to this thread.

Of course, since Andrew's account is no longer associated with an active email, I believe it is subject to being disabled. Just a point he might want to consider...

This thread gave me a good laugh. 'Sergei' (or whatever his/her name really is) should have kept his mouth shut rather than confirm that he is a complete (and incompetent) scammer.

both sides seem super fishy... sorry..

One admitting of posting under other account.. how do we really know ANY of this is true? how many could be involved?

One.. the "notice about the automated response" lacked the to from of all the other screen shots.. why?? does not anyone else see this as odd?

The packages to the OP don't even have the address he lives at and admits he lives at.. odd..

Craigs list post and claims.. Format or not.. there was no specific e-mail or phone number in the screen shot so now that the listing is deleted cannot prove if it was true or false.. that could be fabricated easy.. not proof of anything..

Heck I could make a CL post on their system.. take a screen shot on the preview.. Or heck even post it preview, then delete.. in about 5 mins time.. so could provide a accurate link with the oh has been deleted by the poster.. who was the poster? right?

One could check CL as a third party.. but who but law enforcement can request that?

Perhaps the OP is no longer commenting because they really do have some lawyer contacting them?? but yeh why no updates to say so..

One hopes this is not just a bunch of people having fun at the BOI expense.. I am thinking it may be.. myself..

This has got to be one of the most humorous threads ever, in terms of Yuki/Sergei/et al, ridiculous posts. And then the so predictable final "ban me" post. Flippin' text book.

Kudos to all for your time, research and exposure of this scammer/thief.

Thank you for sending me that:)

It is true that this whole situation is quite odd.
However, at this point in time, I give more credence to the OP.
Also, he is not (or is no longer) even seeking compensation. Something that he stated earlier on.
This is not to say that the possibility cannot exist that the OP isn't totally on the "up & up". This situation is so odd that who knows. I just lend more credence to the OP.

Yuki, OTOH, made quite a spectacle of herself (assuming female since the name "Yuki" is unisex), could not keep her stories straight, and then some.
There are several things that do point to Yuki as someone not to be trusted.

The packages to the OP don't even have the address he lives at and admits he lives at.. odd..

This is true and, yes, it is rather odd.
However, the sender's address is 9 Mallard Dr., Hudson, NH 03051. With the name Andrew Muirhead. A name that appears to be a false name since there is not an Andrew Muirhead at that address. The actual people, listed under that address, is Shinichi Maeda, Kei Maeda, and Yuki Maeda.

I think Andrew explained the packages. He was given tracking numbers (from "Yuki") and discovered that the tracking numbers were associated with "close but not quite" addresses. I think it would be completely reasonable to assume that there were labeling mistakes, especially since it "Yuki" him/herself claimed that as well.

He covered it in the first post:

"My package that Yuki sent ended up down the street from my house with a different name on the box with my tracking number. Fed Ex and I worked out the situation as this was supposed to be my package. Yuki's return address was valid. I opened the box, and to my dismay I had received live plants. I immediately contacted Yuki and she said it was a mistake and she would send the chameleon out next week. I get it mistakes happen! Friday April 4 I received another bogus package containing a fish filter. Yet again sent to a wrong address with my tracking number on it. "

He only knew to track down the other two packages because of the tracking numbers "Yuki" sent him. How else would he even know about them? We get misdirected packages all the time here. That's why I have Amazon buzz my phone when something is delivered. I look out on the porch right away, and I usually see the package, and sometimes even see the truck driving away but when I don't see any package I go visit neighbors immediately.

I saw it the first time, and I've read it since. How many of your packages that are misdelivered have other people's name and address on them? There's a lot that doesn't add up in this thread.

Actually, I find it rather difficult to believe that FedEx would have turned over a package to someone that had a different name and address than what was shown on the label. I would think a FedEx driver could lose their job doing something like this.

Much less why the seller could have made not just one labeling mistake like that, but TWO of them to the same customer, back to back. I mean, what are the odds that something like this could happen accidentally? I've shipped out a lot of packages in my day, and NEVER, EVER had something like that take place.

Odd, VERY odd.

If yuki was willing enough to post a fake craigslist ad to make it look like Andrew sold the chameleon, as well as send him a phishing attempt from a fake paypal email, don't you think it's quite plausible that the whole mislabeling thing was part of her/his plan also? As another attempt to make him look less credible? I mean really I ship packages or ALL of the time, how weird is it that she happened to have TWO shipments being sent just around the corner from Andrew. And them conveniently sent him the tracking info for those shipments.

As for FedEx, since when did they care who accepted a delivery? If there was no signature required they will drop it off anywhere, where anyone can take it, and they don't care who picks it up. They used to deliver boxes to my store daily and any Tom dick of Harry could have accepted those boxes and if no one was up front they would just leave them in the front of the store somewhere. Even when signatures were required any of us employees could sign for it regardless of who it was addressed to. I have had numerous other people that don't even share my last name sign for my shipments of snakes before. So I do not think it is entirely far fetched to think that this whole shipping the packages to nearby addresses with wrong products in them was another setup to make Andrew look like the bad guy. (Honestly, who the heck would order a fish filter and have it overnighted, especially when they happen to live right near Andrew and also be receiving a package from the SAME seller).

There were a few of Andrew's posts that caught my eye; and I was surprised that they weren't questioned earlier...but, once Yuki (or whoever that was) showed up, the focus was shifted. That person never denied things that I found suspect, so I didn't bother raising the questions - that still doesn't mean things smelled right...it only meant I couldn't accurately tell where the smell was coming from.

The idea that this small-time fauna seller would have three shipments of ANYTHING to the exact neighborhood as Andrew is unbelievable. It is obvious to me that it was all part of the same grand "scam".
