In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Laura Fopiano and Bryon Adzic....can I finally get paid the money you owe me?

Nice double standard Deborah. All other threads i observe your relentless persecution towards other people and sheer lack of all mercy for actions or things said that were not half as bad as anything that has gone on here. Shellibear , and a few other threads and then harassing me in the chat room for something you "thought"
I said on facebook......

There is no "double" standard. Bry admitted the debt, he is not making excuses, there has been no evidence submitted to show that he has the ability to pay this debt, unless....YOU have seen him sneaking about buying up animals??

You are welcome to do your own posting on the topic if you feel I am not being fair enough; now please do you have nothing perient to say about THIS topic?

I debated on posting, but decided to let fly....good, bad, or indifferent.

It was obviously necessary that this be brought here, as Bob has yet to be paid. As we have seen, Laura and Bryon do not dispute this. As for turning this into a multi page thread jumping on them for being deadbeats, I'd consider that a bad idea. If it can be shown that they are acquiring new animals on credit, or amassing further debt that cannot be paid, sure, but Bob isn't trying to rake them over the coals, and I don't think we should etiher. Unless it can be shown that Bob is not being paid for a reason other than their inability due to some very hard times, I think this thread should serve the purpose of informing others of the debt, and nothing more.

As for the referring to Laura and Bryon as deadbeats, I hope those who are doing so don't fall on hard times themselves. In my book, a deadbeat does not tactfully apologize and acknowledge a debt when called out on a public forum.

Laura and Bryon....you are in my prayers, and I hope you and Bob can work things out. I'm sure I don't have to tell you, but at this point, you really need to make Bob a priority and send him every extra few bucks you can manage.

Great Post... This thread has been summed up.... Bry and Lolo have admitted they owe the money.. I know they will settle this issue and continue to be the good guys they are. Bry and Lolo you know if you need my help I am always here for you guys..

I know and have dealt with both parties involved in this thread and I consider them to be very honorable folks I would love to help out here. I may be wrong, but unfortunately, I don't see Laura and Bryon magically digging themselves out overnight without the help of a winning lottery ticket. I've been in their shoes and Laura helped me out once so now I would love to return the favor.
I am willing to send Griz $2,000 worth of animals deemed desireable and acceptable to him and I do not want, nor will I accept, one penny from Laura or Bryon. Griz, we've done business before and you're a friend of a great guy (Tim Frazier) that I have some beautiful Brazilian rainbow boas from. If you look at my previous ad posted for them, I think these would be great animals towards your repayment. This is a very heart fealt and genuine promise to help both parties out. I hope you will take me up on it as this can be a win win situation for all.
Please PM me and let's get things going!:yesnod:

Greg, you have got it going on. I think you are wonderful. :)

That's a very generous offer, but Bob already said he got out of animals years ago and can't take any :shrug01:

I cannot take animals back as I got out of animals several years ago.

Oops, sorry I missed that lol. Griz doesn't have to get into animals again. He can just sell them or maybe someone here can help set up something where whatever I donate, the sales proceeds go towards repayment. I know there was a benefit auction not long ago where the funds were abscounded. Don't know what can be worked out:shrug01:, but my offer stands. I've got quite a selection of atypical boas and I honestly want to help out and see this resolved.

You're a stand up guy Greg

Well, thank you all for your positive comments. It would be a shame not to take advantage of my offer and Laura and Bryon deserve a break. I'll be out for the day and will not be able to respond until later on tonight. Please feel free to post or pm me with any ideas.

Greg, you know I hold you in very high regards and even more now. While I appreciate your offer I am no longer doing the reptile thing. My post here was not so much to solicit the money as it was to finally get Bry and Laura to at least address this. I understand their circumstance but I could not understand the silence. If I owed someone money I would at least keep in contact with every month or to. I would go a full year before I would hear anything and even then it was a conversation initiated by me.

Bryon has contacted me and we're working things out. While I know it will take time at least now I can hope they handle things better.

Bob

Wow Greg, not many people are willing to help someone who is down and out, you're a good man!

Bryon, while I understand that you have had some great hardships over the past few years, I can see why some are not very sympathetic. I too have had a rough time between losing a house ,a layoff,my wife's multiple surgeries and my own serious illness that left me going in and out of the hospital for most of last year . Every boa I had except for one was sold or given away.
There is a guy that owes me money from 3 years ago as well, and like you he has maintained his collection, produced and sold offspring for profit, and taken in other animals.
I understand that you, like him, are going through tough times now. I also know that I have been through as much, and lessened my burden by selling off animals. You guys recently had a litter of motleys. Have you sold all of those? I know some were very special animals, but when you owe thousands of dollars, its time to make "holdbacks" available. I think you guys are some of the best people in this hobby, so I hope that you aren't reading this wrong. Hoping for babies, and continuing to provide for animals while ignoring a debt in hopes that those animals will pay for the debt at some point is the wrong way to go about this. I know it is hard (one of the hardest things I have ever had to do) but I think you need to sell some stuff.

Funny how the usual cast of characters is strangely missing from this post. If indeed it is true that you have produced and sold babies, then that money should be used to payoff your debt to Bob

... my only comment is that I found the "$2.35 hr + tips" thing misleading. All servers must make at least federal minimum wage from "$2.35 hr + tips" or the business must pay the difference. Most states have higher minimum wages too, but I don't know about their area.
"$2.35 hr + tips" is really "minimum wage + tips".

I'll save suggestions on how to scrounge up money since it sounds like something may be being worked out. But I agree that if they have animals, selling them would be a great way to go (doing so 2 years ago would have been better, though, the snake market seems to be kind of in the toilet right now)

Actually, contrary to "popular opinon" Fauna isn't a Shark-fest. The OP sets the tone of the thread. There seems to be no "bad guy" as the debtors have not denied the debt and the OP is willing to continue waiting for his money and accepts their excuses as to why they haven't paid (they are apparently friends, and the OP doesn't seem to feel misused or abused).;)

If the OP is satisfied with the tone of the thread, who are we to argue?:shrug01:

Bob - I agree it shouldn't have been up to you to contact them. Your patience is second to none. I understand that you felt they ignored you but you just may have been forgotten. While that may not sound any better it is most likely what had happened. Reading Bryon's post you can see life sometimes get's in the way of things and throws you a curve ball (or two, or three, etc...).

Derek - Wrong thread for your discussion direction so please move along.

Randal - You are just out of line. You posted after Laura and Byron did so I'm only guessing you had to have read their posts, if not then your post is even more out of line. :NoNo:

I'm guessing you have never been in a pinch, had bad luck or medical troubles and gotten behind on your debts. Things like that are kind of like little fires. You try and put one out and another one shows up, then another. Before you know it you are surrounded whereas your only choice is to deal with the one fire in front of you in hopes of escape.

Though, unlike those little fires, debts would best "put out" by (pun intended) paying attention to all a little at a time versus the one at a time method so threads like this do not occur.

But by all means Randal, without any proof let's call someone a deadbeat for being the victim of circumstances that life seems to find everyone. Everyone, obviously other then you that is.

Greg - Hmm, what else can I say that hasn't already been said? Greg, you are alright.

John - Maybe the "usual cast of characters" are missing because they are sitting back to see what happens (or in my case I had not seen it because I was out of town). Your implication / comment like your first sentence will not make this situation get any better. Or do you just want to see two respected people in this trade get raked over the coals? It seems that you're not content seeing them just spin out but instead of hoping they'd get back on track you'd rather see them smack the wall and go up in a ball of flames.

Yes, Laura and Bryon should have handled this better and kept the communication lines open with Bob but they did not. Everybody knows this and they have admitted as much. They have now contacted Bob and will hopefully continue to do so. If not, I'm sure Bob will come back and inform us of such.

Bob - I'm glad it appears this is heading in a positive direction and that both parties are communicating as it should have been in the first place. I hope their situation changes soon so that they can get you all the monies owed to you. Hopefully this has only strained and not ruined the friendship between both parties.

Very well said.

Whooo, it's getting pretty thick in here

So if I understand correctly...... As long as you keep open lines of communication between yourself and the party who is owed then you are free to NOT repay for any length of time of time with no fear of being labeled a bad guy (at least two years right?)? On top of that you have animals in your possession that you COULD sell but choose not to??????????

Take it to court, they won't be such softies (unlike our former Fauna pallidans).

Everyone who reads this thread will form their own opinions about whether or not they are "bad guys"...it's not up to any "pallidans" [sic] to tell us so.

Laura and Byron have built up a very strong foundation of trust over the years and that foundation will hold them up in some pretty tough storms. Friends TRUST them and therefore won't automatically assume "bad guy" just because a storm is pummeling the walls. That's just a fact of life ANYwhere you go and has nothing to do in particular with Fauna or the BOI. When you build a strong foundation of integrity, you are better able to weather the storms of life.

Certainly in some folks eyes (like yours, I'm guessing) they are automatically bad guys...and that is entirely your prerogative to feel that way. You can choose whether or not to do business with them based on this if you wish. Must there be a blood bath to entertain you or tell you what your own opinion is??
