Actually I am basing my opinion on things that Robyn has said. Nothing more... nothing less.

Thats why i dont worry about middle man and i got fed ex certified myself . instead of worrying about what company has what , you should go thru the hoops and get yourself certified . i mean with all the effort i see people putting into this thread you could have finished the certification process already , and have been well on your way to handling it on your own and not worrying if a company is telling the truth about what they are claiming ..Just think of the volume of people fed ex would have and what volume it would speak on behalf of the reptile community if everyone got certified on their own , it would show the sheer numbers of reptile people in the industry and would gain more ground in our favor when fighting politicians in the Gov. . i peronally think everyone worrying about what SYR and RE is doing/claiming is a complete waste of time and effort (but thats my opinion ) ....Do it yourself and save yourself the headache of wondering if the person your trusting with your package is legit or not .

I have read all of the threads... What exactly happened? How did the reptile shipping world change after the failure of SYR and UPS? UPS does not ship any reptiles now? They changed their policy on lizards after SYR came and went?

Do I believe that SYR had a document stating they could ship? Yes. I had a friend that had a shipment dissapear of rare snakes that I did not even know had been produced. SYR, somehow found the snakes and they were delivered to my friend through UPS, who was also informed of the situation, and helped track down the box, oh and then shipped the box. Would they go to those lengths for someone that had no exception for shipping snakes? Is the demanding of a business to post legal paperwork publically something that you feel is normal?

Why dont you start a company, without any permission from UPS, claiming to be able to ship snakes through UPS. Lets see how long you last and how many snakes you actually ship... It would definitely be interesting since you think it is just as easy as saying so.

Its funny you keep mentioning how cheap people are that are defending SYR just to save $5 bucks. I've never shipped SYR. I ship a larger box that regularly cost $100 or more. Should I assume you dont give a crap about your animals and your a cheap ass since you dont buy the bigger two peice boxes? If I was ignorant I could say something like that and maybe even believe it... But I try and think before I type.

Tom is too busy pm'ing back and forth with Robyn. Robyn has been pm'ing quite a few of his supporters over the last two days. Sure is wierd, a guy like Robyn who has such a dislike for this site, yet he lurks in a thread about his company, can't seem to be man enough to speak openly, yet he finds time to do a lot of pm'ing. Sad really. Just so you know, Robyn even sent me a pm, and I will be happy to show it for those of you who don't believe me.

If you have so much to say Robyn, why not be a man and say it so we all can see what you have to say. If you really can do what you claim, then you should have nothing to hide.

Probably, given the amount of money Robyn gives to UPS for shipping other stuff too. Money talks, BS walks.

Yep. If we want to KNOW that they are offering the service legitimately before using them, then why shouldn't we get some proof, other then some third party popping in and saying it's a done deal?

I did too, and I was flabbergasted...didn't know quite how to handle it. Have not replied. It was not flattering to Webslave and a couple others.

It should say a lot to all of us. It really shows his character, or lack there of. He's even pm'ed Harold and Rich. Anyone with that kind of a mentality, is someone I would never do business with. Pathetic really.

Lack of character: We have been upfront with Robyn about our concerns, he has no one to blame but HIMSELF for the temperature and twists and turns of the thread.

If you think this thread is a joke, I wonder what would be serious to you?

• Animals stranded while under the UPS shipping umbrella is a "joke?"
• Customers having to drive to pick up their animals when shipping was stalled is a "joke?"
• Customers left without a viable shipping option when the rug was pulled is a "joke?"
• Customers being "encouraged" to break UPS TOS is a "joke?" (this is a LOT of people shipping forbidden animals at the same time)

I'm still waiting to see if they will have Residential shipping privileges and guaranteed shipping times, because that's the ONLY thing that they would have going for them as far as shipping SNAKES though FedEx.

However, I am glad that you are satisfied with SYR services and will continue to use them. That is entirely your decision. Good luck!

There is no IF.... SYR's told one of thier customers to label the package as "plants" so it wouldn't raise suspicion.

I have a red stamp on my boxes that says "live harmless reptiles". Unlike SYR's I'm not trying to hide anything. There is no doubt what is in my boxes.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm entitled to my opinons about SYR's just like you are. I've been in this topic since day one and I have seen the holes and cloak and dagger routine from SYR's. The dodging of questions. If you want to support him that is fine with me. I just think we are better off supporting ourselves.

The key now is... SYR's cant give us anything we cant get for ourselves. We just have to apply ourself. Before they offered shipping thru UPS. We couldn't do that for ourself. UPS hadn't opened the doors for the general masses to ship snakes.

FedEx will allow you to ship snakes providing you submit your package for testing and pass the tests. Why not get certified? What happens if SYR's looses their ability to ship again? Why put your business in someone elses hands?

I'm sure there are some that are thinking... I dont have a business... I only breed a clutch or two per year. The fact is your breeding.... get certified. Once you do call your rep and ask for whatever discounts they can give you. Every little bit helps and you wont be relying on someone else to ship your animals.

Folks... I've been there... done that. I had to shut down for a month when all the crap hit the fan with Repster. I was putting my business in the hands of a third party shipper, and I got burned. The folks that put their business in the hands of SYR's v1.0 got burned when they had their UPS shipping ability pulled. The folks that put thier business in the hands of RE got burned when UPS pulled their ability.

Why not get your own account and be responsible for your own shipping? Its not that difficult. If you're unsure what to put where in your application for testing.... PM me. I'll tell you what I have on my application in that spot.

That invite is open to everyone.... The best thing you can do for yourself is get certified... and Im willing to help you.
